MARVEL ZOMBIES Creeps Up With a New, Earlier Release Date and Hardcore TV-MA Rating — GeekTyrant

Get ready, horror-loving MCU fans. Marvel Zombies is crawling out of the grave earlier than expected and it's bringing a gnarly, blood-soaked bite with it.
Marvel Animation's twisted What If...? spin-off officially premieres on Disney+ this September 24, moving up from its original Halloween-season drop. So, the four-episode undead thrill ride is just around the corner, and it's coming in hot with a TV-MA rating that promises no holds barred.
Collider recently spoke with Bryan Andrews, the show's director and executive producer, who revealed that Marvel Zombies was originally envisioned as a full-length feature film.
"We were thinking it'd be a movie, if like, 'Ooh, we should release it as a movie.' We should just do a movie," he said. "But there were some things that came up, certain issues that we just had to kind of, 'Oh let's break it. We'll have to break it up into four episodes.'"
Even though it ended up as a mini-series, Andrews still treats it like one complete, intense narrative. "So basically it's like a four-episode mini-event, like a film broke up into four parts, basically. It's one story. It's one throughline. A lot of insanity happens."
The show holds nothing back in terms of violence and gore, earning its R-rated feel. Andrews elaborated on what fans can expect from that TV-MA label.
"We did try not to be gratuitous about [language], but there's like, a couple key parts where someone does say something because it just fits. Like that's what I would say in that moment," he explained.
"So, I think the rating comes from the level of violence and or intensity of the moments that the characters find themselves in. And yeah, blood gets spilled, and we want to be able to see that."
While zombie hype isn't quite where it was during The Walking Dead 's heyday, Marvel Zombies is set to give the genre a badass superhero twist. If you remember the undead chaos in What If...? , you know this isn't going to be your average apocalypse.
Returning to their MCU roles are Elizabeth Olsen ( Scarlet Witch ), Awkwafina ( Katy ), David Harbour ( Red Guardian ), Simu Liu ( Shang-Chi ), Randall Park ( Jimmy Woo ), Florence Pugh ( Yelena Belova ), Hailee Steinfeld ( Hawkeye ), Dominique Thorne ( Ironheart ), Iman Vellani ( Ms. Marvel ), Hudson Thames ( Spider-Man ), and Todd Williams in a currently undisclosed role.
The show is directed by Andrews, with a script written by Zeb Wells. Executive producers include Kevin Feige, Louis D'Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, Wells, and Andrews. Danielle Costa and Carrie Wassenaar serve as producers.
Marvel Zombies is creeping up fast, just in time to kick off the spooky season with bloody superhero mayhem.

Series of concerts at San Francisco's Golden Gate Park draws music lovers despite traffic, noise complaints

While some neighbors in the Richmond District have complained about traffic and noise caused by concerts, it's a different story for those attending the events. On Friday night, a series of August concerts wrapped up with headliner Zach Bryan performing at Golden Gate Park. For three weekends in a row, people have been piling into Golden Gate Park to see their favorite music artists. This was Jenn Russo's second time coming to the venue this month and had a plan to avoid any parking issues. "It wasn't too bad," said Russo. "I was here a couple of weeks ago for Dead and Company, and we took the shuttle in and out and they didn't have that shuttle going north this time. So, I enlisted my husband to drop us off. He's going to go to the movies, go have dinner and pick us up." While Russo and her daughters made the drive from Healdsburg, two other people who are friends traveled a little farther to see Zach Bryan. It took them several hours to get there from Madera in the Central Valley. "It was great," said Hudson Groh and Sam McPherson. "It was easy. We always love coming to the Bay. We love where we come from, though. We love living there with all the space and stuff. A lot different than the city that we are at right now, but making the trip is always fun. A road trip with your friends. Oh yeah." There was a lot of traffic in the outer Richmond area the last few weekends, and one man named Nicholas, who only wanted to go by his first name, decided to cash in on the extra foot traffic. He set up a snack stand with his brothers. Business was slow before the show, but he's banking on selling out after the event. "I think we'll get the most money in the way back when there's a lot of people," said Nicholas. "They are also really hungry then and thirsty." While some neighbors have become annoyed with three straight weekends of music and visitors, some locals said they felt that overall, it's good for the city. "I think it's amazing," said Yvette Corkrean from San Francisco. "I mean one, we want to bring people back to the city in a positive way. Last week's event was a little bit more for the youngsters and then this week it's for us older generation, but for everybody." Those we talked to say they enjoyed this venue and like that more and more concerts have returned to Golden Gate Park. Russo, though, feels accessibility may be the one thing to keep it from becoming the "go-to" place for live music. "I like it here," said Russo. "It's just the whole parking thing is a bit of an issue if you don't live here and know the MUNI and the buses and all the trains and stuff. So, that's the part that's a little challenging for us."

TikTok sensation Talibelico unites Punjabi, Mexican roots through banda music

An exploding new talent is turning heads in Modesto for both his voice and his look. A 26-year-old TikTok sensation calls himself Talibelico — a combined term for magical impact, "talisman," and a style of movement in dance, "belico." His style and look have created a connection between the Punjabi and Mexican communities. His father is Indian and his mother is from Mexico. I sat down with Talibelico to ask what motivates his music. "It makes me happy. The banda makes me happy and I love what I'm doing, singing corridos and music," he said. Banda is the style of music he plays. Those who play with him say they were surprised when they met the man behind the voice. Juan Gallardo, who plays guitar, told CBS13 about the first time he heard Talibelico. "I seen him on TikTok a while back, back in 2023, and the first video I seen, I was like, 'He speaks Spanish,' " Gallardo said. Gallardo went on to say, "It's music that surely makes you want to move your feet, makes you want to dance, makes you want to get out of your comfort zone and just go at it." But it's not all fun lyrics for Talibelico. He has taken on more serious topics like the recent immigration raids, making several videos to try and calm the fears in the modesto community and elsewhere. In fact, he's working on a song about immigration concerns. But for now, the message takes a backseat to the music. Talibelico will be performing live this Sunday at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds.

NFL Reporter Laura Rutledge Reacts to Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift News on Monday

NFL Reporter Laura Rutledge Reacts to Travis Kelce, Taylor Swift News on Monday originally appeared on Athlon Sports. The NFL preseason is fully underway, but off the field, news broke on Monday that had everything to do with one of the game's best tight ends of one of the best teams in the league. Travis Kelce, the star tight end of the Kansas City Chiefs, will finally have his girlfriend, pop star Taylor Swift, on his "New Heights" podcast after months of fans' demand. The two have one of the most high-profile relationships, not just in the NFL but in all of sports and entertainment, even though some football fans find the attention it has attracted annoying. Kelce and Swift recently announced that the pop superstar will make an appearance by posting a teaser video on Instagram. NFL reporter Terry Rutledge couldn't contain her excitement over the news. 'OMGGGGGGGGGG,' Rutledge commented on Instagram. Rutledge Has Become a Big Figure in Sports Journalism In recent years, more and more women have been dominating sports reporting, and Rutledge has been all over the place when it comes to football. She started as a sideline reporter for Fox Sports, covering the network's broadcast of Tampa Bay Rays games and subsequently San Diego Padres contests. In 2013, she hosted "Chargers Insider," a show covering the then-San Diego Chargers. A year later, Rutledge started hosting halftime and postgame shows for Fox's coverage of college football. She became the host of the SEC Network's "SEC Nation" in 2017, and in 2020, she started hosting "NFL Live" on ESPN. Kelce and Swift Are the NFL's Resident Celebrity Couple The relationship between Kelce and Swift reportedly began in the summer of 2023, when Kelce shared during an episode of "New Heights" that he tried to give Swift a friendship bracelet, but he also clarified it didn't lead to anything then. Early in the 2023 season, he said on "The Pat McAfee Show" that he invited Swift to a Chiefs game. She then attended their Week 3 home contest against the Chicago Bears, and the two were seen riding off in Kelce's convertible afterward. The following week, Swift was at MetLife Stadium when Kansas City visited the New York Jets. Things snowballed from there, and before long, the two were confirmed to be dating. Plenty of football fans have complained about the attention Swift has gotten during telecasts of Chiefs games, which included camera shots of her sitting in the luxury suite at Arrowhead Stadium. But she has apparently brought in more fans and higher ratings for the NFL, which isn't exactly a bad thing. The Chiefs went on to win their third Super Bowl championship in five years by escaping the San Francisco 49ers at the end of the 2023 season. They lost decisively in last season's big game to the Philadelphia Eagles, and with plenty counting them out for 2025, they could end up having a chip on their shoulders once Week 1 story was originally reported by Athlon Sports on Aug 12, 2025, where it first appeared.
