In the episode, 'Intelligence ups their pursuit of dirty Deputy Chief Reid. As things escalate and Reid shows himself to be a formidable opponent, Voight finds himself battling his own instincts,' showrunner Gwen Sigan previously told TVLine. 'Meanwhile, Ruzek and Burgess' wedding fast approaches, Chapman grows closer to Voight, and Torres faces the emotional fall out of his actions.'
Despite all the tension with Reid, Burgess and Ruzek's nuptials appear to be a happy affair in the below first look, with both the bride and groom smiling brightly. And Burgess is practically glowing as she walks down the aisle to her future hubby as Voight looks on with pride.
Given the serious nature of the show, which often deals with dark and gritty cases, star Marina Squerciati wasn't sure how her hopes for the wedding would fit into series.
'I don't know, because I feel like it's, like, flowers and frills and beach, and that's, like, just everything Chicago P.D. is not,' she told TVLine last November. 'I think everyone's unsure how we're going to accomplish this thing that the fans have waited for for 12 years and still respect the tone of the show. Because what I'm thinking is very much like This Is Us. Like, it's not respectful of the tone.'
But it looks like the series found a way to deliver an emotional, traditional ceremony in a church, compared to the show's previous impromptu courthouse wedding between Halstead and Upton.

Of Notoriety: Newspaper columnist turned TV commentator Gary Deeb dead at age 79
Before the advent and proliferation of the internet as a widespread information and communication change factor for the media landscape (around 1998 by my recollection), newspapers, television and radio continued as the trio that reigned supreme. Having graduated from Valparaiso University in 1992, I'm grateful I had a taste of 'the golden years' for media known as the decade of the 1990s. For Chicago and spanning to borders far beyond, there was media personality Gary Deeb as the caustic gatekeeper of all things TV, radio and media reporting about what and who to watch and when and where to listen. Deeb died at age 79 on May 17. His obituary was quietly published in his original hometown newspaper, The Buffalo News, the same newspaper that gave him his start as a radio and TV columnist in 1970 (the year I was born). His first editors took a chance on him, considering he hadn't had any college or journalism experience. Less than 10 lines long, the first line of his published obituary reads that Deeb 'passed away peacefully.' It's an interesting phrase of words: a familiar string and accurately assigned to most as symbolic of a quiet and gentle transition. In contrast, the career and temperament of Gary Deeb was very much the opposite. In 1973, Deeb moved to Chicago and was hired by the Chicago Tribune as the new radio and TV critic. By age 30 in 1973, his column was syndicated, and like his immense popularity and power in the media industry, his syndication numbers grew and expanded, extending for a wider reach than Chicago. He was young, brash, crass, to the point and often sarcastic and mean-spirited. When his column was added as a new feature in April 1982 to The Columbian newspaper in Vancouver, Washington, the newspaper touted: 'TV Columnist Added! Television reviewer Gary Deeb has been described as arrogant, snippy, opinionated, demanding and a host of other adjectives, some printable. He has his defenders, too. He is the best and brightest TV critic in print today. He is the Ralph Nader of reviewers.' Time magazine dubbed him 'Terror of the Tube' and further categorized him in 1975 as 'the sour, crude ravager of the medium' after Deeb described that year's prime time season TV lineup as 'devoid of innovation, creativity or diversification, freighted with drivel, sanitized doggerel and phony rotten garbage.' He was indifferent about ABC's series 'Kung Fu,' saying it 'exploits the mass audience's craving for blood and guts,' yet loved NBC's 'Real People,' an hour-long salute to everyday personalities hosted by Sarah Purcell, Skip Stephenson, Byron Allen and young Peter Billingsley, and very much despised NBC's 'Little House on the Prairie,' describing the latter as 'cloying sweetness and padded dialog.' He loved 'the tiny slice of life's underside' that was the ABC sitcom 'Taxi' but had few kind words for brother and sister duo Donny and Marie Osmond and their ABC variety show. Some of Deeb's most cutting criticisms were saved for Chicago's local on-air news personalities from news anchors to the weather broadcasters of TV and radio. Most famously, he said our Hoosier claim-to-fame TV news and NBC 'Today' show icon Jane Pauley 'has the IQ of a cantaloupe.' Even his own future Sun-Times gossip columnist colleague Irv 'Kup' Kupcinet wasn't safe from Deeb's poison pen. Deeb described Kup and his broadcast counterpart Jack Brickhouse as 'simpletons' and found their constant banter and chitchat annoying and distracting from the commentary they were supposed to provide when announcing Chicago Bears games. Sportswriter George Castle, who I worked with for 20 years at The Times of Northwest Indiana, worked with Deeb as a nighttime copyboy at the Chicago Tribune when he was just beginning his journalism career. Castle always said Deeb's column was entertaining to all, as long as it wasn't them he was describing in his adjective-heavy prose. In today's era of journalism, no columnist could write with such a harsh slant about people and subjects. I know firsthand that Kup did not find Deeb amusing or entertaining. Though I never met or knew Deeb, I did know Kup and would visit him with my parents at his Lakeshore Drive apartment during his final years before his death at age 91 in 2003. 'Deeb was a twerp' was Kup's description of his newsroom desk neighbor. (Though Kup mostly wrote from home and left his newsroom needs to longtime assistant Stella Foster.) Deeb and Kup became co-workers in 1980 when The Sun-Times courted Deeb away from the Tribune by offering him his own secretary and an assistant by the name of Robert Feder, the latter who would assume Deeb's column duties from writing about media news while writer Phil Rosenthal took over as the Sun-Times TV columnist. Deeb eventually left newspapers in 1983 for a coveted TV broadcaster position with Chicago ABC 7 as the TV and radio media commentator. He left his TV position in 1996 and returned home to Buffalo retiring at age 50, and then later moving to Charlotte, North Carolina. He was married and divorced twice. The last time Deeb's name made news headlines was in 2003, when the Chicago Reader's columnist Michael Miner was tipped off that Deeb had netted several thousand dollars by selling his personal archive of letters and correspondence from Chicago media notable names and national media personalities like John Chancellor and Morley Safer, among others. When asked to comment, Deeb had no comment. He is survived by his sister Elaine Lamb and stepdaughter Kyla Lee. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

What happened on ‘Love Island USA' last night? What you missed from the season 7 premiere
Just got a text... "Love Island USA" is officially back for a seventh season, with the premiere hitting NBC's streaming platform Peacock last night, Tuesday, June 3. And this season brings a group of Floridians looking for love, or at least "like," in Fiji. Although the episode was posted 44 minutes late, the premiere started off strong, with plenty of lip-locking, couple drama and even two bombshells entering the villa on the first night. Here's what you missed on the first episode of "Love Island USA" season seven, who coupled up, which cast members are from Florida and how to watch the second episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4. 'Love Island USA' returns: Here's how to watch, stream the season 7 premiere This season hit the ground running. Instead of "coupling up" based on looks and first impressions, the ladies made their choice of who to "couple up" with after choosing two guys to make out with first. Host (and Floridian) Ariana Madix explained these couples will not only be living together but will take part in challenges and share a bed, emphasizing the importance of chemistry. However, the couples that formed on last night's episode most likely won't remain partnered up for the entire six weeks. Anyone has the chance to steal or couple up with other people's partners throughout the show. There are five couples in total, including one with two Floridians: Watch 'Love Island USA' on Peacock This new season features four Floridian bombshells in the villa: Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan (Living in Fort Lauderdale) Chelley Bissainthe, 27, from Orlando Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, from Jacksonville Yulissa Escobar, 27, from Miami Ace Greene, 25, Los Angeles Austin Shepard, 26, Northville, Michigan Belle-A Walker, 22, Honolulu Chelley Bissainthe, 27, Orlando Huda Mustafa, 24, Raleigh, North Carolina Jeremiah Brown, 25, Los Angeles Nicolas Vansteenberghe, 24, Jacksonville Olandria Carthen, 27, Decatur, Alabama Taylor Williams, 24, Oklahoma City Yulissa Escobar, 27, Miami The premiere episode featured some steamy make-outs, brand-new twists and the beginnings of major drama. Here's a quick recap of how the Floridians did on last night's episode: Austin's first moments in the villa weren't too positive, as he was not chosen by any of the women during the couple shuffle and was coupled up with fellow Floridian Chelley, after her partner was stolen. The Fort Lauderdale pool technician joked around about Chelley not initially choosing him after they kissed. He did admit that if it was his choice, he would've made out with Chelley and Belle-A. Stealing her for a chat, Austin admitted he was very interested in Chelley. They discussed their expectations and what they were looking for in a partner. Later in the evening, the pair discussed living in Florida and all of the critters that call the state home. During the final challenge of the episode, Austin did not kiss anyone. But he did receive a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega. Not only was Chelley the first to arrive at the villa but she was also the first to choose which man she wanted to couple up with. But her first pick, Ace, was stolen by fellow Floridian Yulissa. Earlier in the episode, she shared she had already met Ace back in January outside of a club. After she was coupled up with Austin, she said in a confessional that he was attractive, but stressed that it was only day one and she was keeping her options open. The following day, she shared that Ace was at the top of her list. Chelley and Ace ended up chatting about their initial meeting and their attraction to one another. They both seemed open to exploring their relationship more, despite not being coupled up currently. During the final challenge of the episode, Chelley kissed Ace and received a kiss from Ace, as well as from a new bombshell in the villa: George Georgiou. After Nicolas was coupled up with Belle-A, they discussed her boundaries and why she opted for a kiss on the cheek rather than a make-out session. While she is a frontrunner for Nicolas, he said he would still try to mingle with the other ladies. The following morning, he told Ace that him and Belle-A got more comfortable over the night. But he added that he also wanted to get to know Olandria, after they shared a kiss. During the final challenge of the episode, Nicolas kissed Olandria. He also received a kiss from new bombshell Cierra Ortega. Yulissa ruffled some feathers after she stole Chelley's partner, Ace, during the couple shuffle. However, the two seemed to hit it off afterward when discussing their heritages and families. In a catch-up with the ladies later, she said she wasn't trying to be messy and felt she had to "do what (she has) to do." The following day, she said she felt nervous around Ace but was ready to step outside her comfort zone. During the final challenge of the episode, Yulissa did not kiss anyone else but received a kiss from new bombshell George Georgiou. You can watch 'Love Island USA' live on Bravo and Peacock every day except for Wednesdays. However, there will still be an episode tonight, Wednesday, June 4, since it's premiere week. You can stream new episodes the night they air on Peacock. A premium monthly plan costs $7.99 or $79.99 for one year. The premium plus plan, which is ad-free, costs $13.99 per month or $139.99 a year. You can also catch up on seasons four, five and six of 'Love Island USA' on Peacock. A "Love Island USA" franchise staple, the cast always carries around personalized white water bottles to stay hydrated. Fans can purchase their own on the Love Island website. While "Love Island USA" is not exactly live, it is filmed in real-time with a delay of a day or two before it airs. The winner of each season is the couple that gets the most viewer votes as the favorite couple in the villa. During the finale, the winning couple with the most votes each get envelopes. One envelope has prize money and the other is empty. The person who gets the prize money can choose to keep it for themselves or split it with their partner.
