Kajol reveals why Ibrahim Ali Khan is different from dad Saif Ali Khan: ‘The camera loves both… but'

Kajol
is gearing up for her upcoming film 'Sarzameen', where she stars alongside
Ibrahim Ali Khan
and Prithviraj Sukumaran. The film is special for many reasons. Not only does it bring together fresh and familiar faces, but it also marks the directorial debut of Kayoze Irani, son of the much-loved actor
Boman Irani
.
'Sarzameen' is set for an OTT release on 25th July.
Kajol opens up about working with
Ibrahim
In a recent chat with SCREEN, Kajol shared her experience of working with Ibrahim Ali Khan, especially considering her long association with his father,
Saif Ali Khan
. Kajol and Saif have delivered several memorable films together, and it was only natural to compare father and son.
Kajol observed, 'The camera loves both the father and the son. Ibrahim is so inherently good-looking that he doesn't have to say much, just brood in front of the camera, and he is sorted in life.
But he is a quieter personality than Saif. I have known Saif for years now, he is bigger and brighter, persona-wise, and always has been. But Ibrahim is going to do well.'
Director Kayoze on Ibrahim's first film
Kayoze Irani, who is directing his first feature film with 'Sarzameen', also spoke about working with Ibrahim and how both were taking on new challenges. He said, 'Both Ibrahim and I were on a set for the first time, so we worked a lot on the film.

We gave him six months of prep, and I am extremely happy with how it has turned out. He is a good kid; the camera just loves him. I think he is made for this.'
Kajol on handling scrutiny
Kajol also shared her thoughts on how the film industry and audiences judge newcomers, whether they belong to film families or not. She said, 'People are quick to judge everybody, whether they come from a film family or not. Right now, whoever is coming on screen has to be prepared for the criticism and for the credit or no credit that they will be faced with. That's part and parcel of what you signed up for when you do movies.
It's something you have to be prepared for, and I think they are prepared for it. I don't see anybody being cowed down by it or saying this is unfair or anything like that.'

Anupam Kher recalls clash with Aamir Khan when the 'Lagaan' actor complained about him to Mahesh Bhatt during 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi': 'Mere andar ka NSD ka gold medalist jag gaya'

A amir Khan and Anupam Kher had shared screen space in 'Dil Hai Ke Manta Nahi' which starred Pooja Bhatt also and was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. Kher played Pooja's father in the film. There was a disagreement between Kher and Aamir in the film because the latter didn't like the interpretation of scene. In a recent interview, while promoting his latest directorial, 'Tanvi the Great', Anupam Kher opened up on this incident. When asked if Aamir was upset with him during the shoot, Kher said during a chat with Siddharth Kannan, 'He wasn't upset with me, he disliked my interpretation of the climax scene. I play a man who tells his daughter to abandon her to-be husband and run away from the 'mandap'. In my imagination, only a man who is not in his senses would make such a suggestion, so I decided to play the scene comedically. Aamir didn't like it, apparently. So, he went and complained to Bhatt saab even though he was just an actor like me.' He added further, 'Bhatt saab told me what Aamir had said, and that's when mere andar ka National School of Drama ka gold medalist jaag gaya (my inner drama school gold medalist was unleashed). by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo I asked Bhatt saab, 'You're okay with my performance?' People thought that Kher was disrespecting him but the actor-director clarified his stance. He said, 'He is too important for me to disrespect him like that.' Kher had made his acting debut with 'Saaransh' which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt.
