Pit Bull Has His Very Own 'Car Game' and It's Too Cute for Words
My dogs absolutely love car rides. The minute they hear the keys jingle, they jump up and down in excitement and head for the door. My senior Doxie sits in front with me and my Pug mix gets the back seat to himself. He loves to go back and forth to stick his head out each window and feel the wind running through his fur. They're both well-behaved passengers, content with watching the outdoor scenery go by as we listen to light hits on the radio.
Some pups have a penchant for playing games in the car when they're on a road trip. This gray and white Pit Bull got a bit creative when passing the time on a ride with his mom.
In the TikTok from @coyote_flowers222, the precious Pittie was in the middle of the back seat taking in the sights. Apparently, the car-loving canine likes to play a little game with his mom's help.
"Get ready — car's coming!" she told her pup.
The dutiful dog immediately looked out his left window. When he didn't see anything, he stuck his head out the right window and spotted an oncoming truck. As the huge truck past, the Pit Bull tried to grab it with his mouth. The scene was adorable and demonstrated the pup's attention to detail. He's clearly had a lot of practice.
Why Do Dogs Love Car Rides?
Many canines crave a good car ride, especially with an open window. Dogs have over 300 million receptacles in their noses to pick up scents, compared to a human's 50 million. Riding in the car with their head out the window provides them with a smorgasbord of smells to take in. One 10-minute car ride can present them with aromas from other animals and nature to restaurants and city life.Your pup also loves being with you and considers the car an extension of home. Canines are naturally curious and view a good road trip as an adventure with their loved one, so of course they want to be along for the ride.
Not all dogs love car rides, but those who do can't wait to get their motor running on the open road. This Pit Bull obviously found a unique way to make the journey even more fun.

‘Helluva Boss' Team Breaches Tumblr Containment With ‘Homestuck' Animated Series
The most online of people likely remember Homestuck, Andrew Hussie's internet fiction series. After Hussie ended the webcomic in 2016, loyal fans have kept it alive with various side projects and Hussie's occasional guidance. Now, it's getting its biggest side project yet in the form of an animated series. Or rather, the pilot for one. This comes courtesy of Hazbin Hotel creator Vivienne Medrano and her animation company Spindlehorse, and with some well-known voice talent attached. Video game and anime voice actors Cherami Leigh (Cyberpunk 2077), Adam McArthur (Jujutsu Kaisen), and Brandon Winkler are onboard, ditto Tails' longtime actor Colleen O'Shaughnessey, voice director Richard Horvitz (who already does voice work for Spindlehorse's Helluva Boss), and Undertale creator Toby Fox. Before he made Undertale and Deltarune, Fox made his name doing music for Homestuck's animated sections back in the day. Check them and the pilot out below. For those not in the know, Hussie launched Homestuck in 2009 as one of several series he made developed in MS Paint. Plot-wise, it focuses on John Egbert (Fox), a kid who gets a beta copy of a computer game called Sburb for his 13th birthday present. When he learns it lets him manipulate reality, John enlists his friends Rose (Leigh), Dave (McArthur), and Jade (O'Shaughnessey) to join him, which ends up putting their universe in danger and forces them to beat the game in order to create a new one. It gained a huge following online back in the day, resulting in hardcover collections, an epilogue series, and the episodic adventure game Hiveswap. Expect the Homestuck pilot to hit YouTube in September. At time of writing, it's unclear if it could become its own series; Medrano entered a first look deal with Prime Video this past spring, so it's not impossible. Want more io9 news? Tesla's Cybertruck Is Suddenly Sold Out (Sort Of)
After months of being a commercial disaster, something curious is happening with the Tesla Cybertruck. For the first time since its troubled launch, Elon Musk's futuristic pickup is showing signs of life. The wait time for the Cybertruck's cheapest model has suddenly stretched to over a month, suggesting a spike in demand for a vehicle that, until now, almost no one seemed to want. The question is whether this is a genuine turnaround for the polarizing pickup or just a temporary sugar rush fueled by a looming government deadline. The Cybertruck was never a normal vehicle. Unveiled in a now-infamous 2019 event where its supposedly 'bulletproof' windows shattered on stage, the sci-fi pickup, with its radical stainless-steel design, was hyped by CEO Elon Musk as an indestructible truck that would change the world. But after years of production delays, the reality has been brutal. In the second quarter of 2025, Tesla sold just 4,306 Cybertrucks, a staggering 50.8% plunge from the same period last year, according to data from Kelley Blue Book. The used car market has been just as unforgiving, with resale values crashing over 30% in the past year, according to data from CarGurus. By all metrics, America's most hyped truck has been a commercial bust. Tesla's Numbers Are In, and They're Not Good That's what makes the latest change on Tesla's website so bizarre. As of Sunday, anyone ordering the base model 'Long Range' Cybertruck (starting at $72,235) will now have to wait 3 to 5 weeks for delivery. Meanwhile, the two more expensive variants, the All-Wheel Drive and the top-of-the-line Cyberbeast, are listed as available for immediate delivery. This suggests the sudden delay for the cheapest model is being driven by a surge in new orders. This theory is supported by the fact that other popular Tesla models, like the Model 3 and Model Y, have also seen their wait times increase from a few weeks to over a month in the last 48 hours. The Great American EV Tax Credit Rush Has Begun The most likely culprit for this buying frenzy is the expiration of the $7,500 federal EV tax credit on September 30. For last-minute buyers, the base model Cybertruck is the most attractive target. Once the credit is applied, its price drops to a more palatable $64,735. Tesla appears to be leaning into the rush. The company's website prominently features the tax credit, and a recent post on X from the official Cybertruck account touted its self-driving features, a clear move to capture the attention of buyers on the fence. 'Cybertruck is the only pickup truck that can drive itself anywhere under your supervision,' Tesla posted. Cybertruck is the only pickup truck that can drive itself anywhere under your supervision — Cybertruck (@cybertruck) August 3, 2025For a vehicle that has been bleeding momentum, this last-minute rush could be a chance to finally stem the bleeding. But the real test will come on October 1, when the tax credits are gone and the Cybertruck has to survive on its own merits for the first time. We'll soon find out if this is a real comeback or just the final, fleeting moment of a hype cycle that has finally run out of gas. The Cybertruck has been a profound disappointment for Tesla, a vehicle that has consistently under-delivered on its own hype. After a disastrous second quarter and a collapse in the used car market, the company has been in damage control mode, even offering desperate promotions like a free accessory with purchase. The sudden spike in demand for the cheapest model is almost certainly a temporary blip caused by the expiring tax credit, a last-minute rush from buyers who see a chance to get a discount on a vehicle that has failed to justify its premium price. Once the government incentives are gone, the Cybertruck will face its true test, and all signs point to a continued and difficult road ahead for Elon Musk's sci-fi vanity project.
