Q: Can you elaborate on the $90 million investment losses in new states like Missouri and Alberta, and discuss the customer acquisition environment? A: (CFO Rob Coldrake) We expect to launch in Missouri in Q4 and Alberta in Q1 2026. Missouri's launch will incur around $80 million in costs, with Alberta adding $10 million for pre-launch investments. (CEO Peter Jackson) We're pleased with our customer acquisition strategy, exiting 2024 with a larger business than anticipated, and we see continued opportunities for growth.
Q: Could you provide insights on the customer acquisition trends between iGaming and core sportsbook, and the expected benefits of new product integrations? A: (CEO Peter Jackson) We're seeing strong growth in iGaming, driven by product innovations like the reward machine jackpots and the Fanjo Casino Rewards Club. These initiatives are enhancing customer acquisition and cross-selling into the sportsbook.
Q: What are the early learnings from the "Your Way" product rollout, and how are you managing the structural hold rate? A: (CEO Peter Jackson) The "Your Way" product saw good engagement during the Super Bowl, with 1 in 20 customers using it. We're focusing on simplifying the user experience and managing associated risks. (CFO Rob Coldrake) We're not guiding specifically on hold for 2025, but we're making progress towards our long-term targets.
Q: How are you addressing the impact of higher tax rates in Illinois, and what is your outlook on potential iGaming legalization? A: (CFO Rob Coldrake) The impact in Illinois was in line with expectations, and we aim to mitigate 50% of the growth factor in 2025. (CEO Peter Jackson) We're optimistic about launching in new states and expect continued momentum in iGaming legalization.
Q: Can you discuss your strategy for expanding in South and Latin America, particularly in Brazil? A: (CEO Peter Jackson) We're excited about working with NSX and plan to leverage our products and technology in Latin America. The Brazilian market is competitive, but we are confident in our ability to succeed given our track record and capabilities.
Q: How do you view media rights partnerships in the US, especially with changes in broadcast deals? A: (CEO Peter Jackson) We've been disciplined in negotiating contracts and are adapting to changes in media rights and streaming. Our scale helps us invest in acquiring the right types of rights to ensure customer access to sports content.
Q: What is your investment strategy in Brazil following the regulated market launch? A: (CFO Rob Coldrake) Brazil's market was already functioning before regulation, so it's different from a US state launch. We're working towards $100 million in losses for this year, with competition for media assets expected to shake out quickly.
Q: What are the key drivers behind the US revenue growth exceeding original guidance, and where do you see potential upside in 2025? A: (CEO Peter Jackson) We ended 2024 with a larger business than anticipated, particularly in iGaming. Progress in parlay offerings and structural hold improvements contributed to exceeding guidance. We remain on track for our long-term targets.

Oklo Q2 2025 Preview: Is the 900% Run Justified by Regulatory and Deal Updates?
Oklo Inc. (NYSE:OKLO) will release its Q2 2025 results and a business update after the market closes on Monday, August 11, 2025. Analysts estimate a loss of $0.11 per share and no revenue. Despite its pre-revenue status, the stock has been highly volatile, surging more than 260% year to date and over 900% in the last twelve months on hopes that nuclear power will play a central role in future energy supply. Much of that optimism is tied to the company's Aurora powerhouse, now targeting initial operation in late 2027 or early 2028. Wall Street will be looking for any developments in Oklo's licensing process with the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), where the company remains in the licensing stage for its first plant. Any delays would have a significant impact on investor confidence. Partnership activity is another focus this quarter. Oklo has announced deals with Liberty Energy (NYSE:LBRT) and Vertiv (NYSE:VRT) aimed at powering data centers. Investors will want to know how these partnerships are progressing and how they fit into the broader commercialization roadmap. Finally, with substantial development costs and no incoming revenue, attention will turn to Oklo's cash runway. Management will need to provide a clear strategy to manage expenses and secure funding for its first power plant without relying on excessive dilution. This article first appeared on GuruFocus.

C3 AI Restructures Sales and Services Organizations to Accelerate Growth
REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--C3 AI (NYSE: AI), the Enterprise AI application software company, in the course of Q1, has restructured its global sales and services organization, including new leadership. That restructuring is now complete. New leadership includes: Rob Schilling joins C3 AI as EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, responsible for all Sales, customer-facing teams, and Alliances, effective June 16, 2025. Schilling is a seasoned enterprise application sales leader. His prior experience includes SVP, ERP, Oracle, responsible for a billion-dollar cloud application business; GVP, Nokia Software; CEO, SpaceTime; SVP, SAP Americas; Chief Customer Officer, SAP Japan; and SVP of Sales at Siebel Systems. He brings almost a quarter century of senior enterprise sales leadership to lead the C3 AI go-to-market effort globally. John Kitchingman joins C3 AI as General Manager, EMEA, effective June 30, 2025. He previously served as SVP, Global Customer Engagement at Dassault Systèmes and VP and Global Sales Leader, IBM Global Services. Jeff Cosseboom joins C3 AI as Group Vice President, North America East Sales. He brings over three decades of enterprise sales experience as Chief Revenue Officer, Palladin Technologies; Area VP, Salesforce-Vlocity; VP, SAP; and GVP, Siebel Systems/Oracle. Lars Farnstrom joins C3 AI as Group Vice President, Nordics. He is also an exceptionally experienced technology leader, including as CEO, VP, Nordics, C3 AI; CEO, Raw Lab; VP, Sales Northern Europe, C3 AI; and Group Director, CRM, Siebel Systems. Alex Amato, Group Vice President of Customer Services and an executive with C3 AI for nine years, has been promoted to assume responsibility for all professional services and customer service operations, reporting to Rob Schilling. In the course of Q1, he has restructured the services organization to ensure a consistent and universal focus on rapid and significant value realization for all C3 AI engagements. 'The good news is we have completely restructured the sales and services organization, including new and highly experienced leadership across the board to ensure a return to accelerating growth and increased customer success at C3 AI. The bad news is that sales results in Q1 were completely unacceptable. Having given this a lot of thought, I attribute this to two factors. One: It is clear that in the short term, the reorganization with new leadership had a disruptive effect. Two: As we have previously announced, I have had a number of health issues in the past six months including multiple hospitalizations and vision impairment. Unfortunately, dealing with these health issues prevented me from participating in the sales process as actively as I have in the past. With the benefit of hindsight, it is now apparent that my active participation in the sales process may have had a greater impact than I previously thought. That being said, as we enter Q2, we have new leadership in place, a restructuring completed, an extraordinarily large market opportunity, a superlative product offering, and exceptional levels of customer satisfaction, and I am confident the company is positioned to accelerate going forward,' said Thomas M. Siebel, Chairman and CEO, C3 AI. 'I am pleased to also report that, but for vision impairment, my health has improved dramatically. I am feeling strong and am fully engaged. As you also know, we are actively engaged in an executive search for a successor CEO at C3 AI and are moving expeditiously to identify some excellent candidates in short order.' Use of Forward-Looking Statements This press release contains forward-looking statements within the meaning of the Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995. The words 'continue,' 'may,' 'would,' 'will' and similar expressions are intended to identify forward-looking statements, although not all forward-looking statements contain these words. Forward-looking statements in this press release include, but are not limited to, statements regarding our market opportunity, our sales and customer opportunity pipeline, the results of restructuring our sales and services organizations, the success of our new sales leadership structure, customer satisfaction, the outcome of our search for a new Chief Executive Officer, and our business strategies, plans, and objectives for future operations. We have based these forward-looking statements largely on our current expectations and projections about future events and trends that we believe may affect our financial condition, results of operations, business strategy, short-term and long-term business operations and objectives, and financial needs. These forward-looking statements are subject to a number of risks and uncertainties, including our history of losses and ability to achieve and maintain profitability in the future, our historic dependence on a limited number of existing customers that account for a substantial portion of our revenue, our ability to attract new customers and retain existing customers, market awareness and acceptance of enterprise AI solutions in general and our products in particular, the length and unpredictability of our sales cycles and the time and expense required for our sales efforts.
