Daily Mail18-05-2025

Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce posed with the fans who bought the acoustic guitar signed by his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, which was donated for Patrick Mahomes ' charity auction.
Kelce popped up in Las Vegas alongside his favorite quarterback on Thursday night as Mahomes' charity, 15 and the Mahomies, held its annual benefit, which included the auction and a golf event at Shadow Creek.
Swift's acoustic guitar appears to reach a price of $15,000 during the auction, with Travis faking to enter the sweepstakes for the six-string signed by his partner.
The identity of the winning bidders has been revealed, with Instagram user @m_janian and what appears to be her husband getting the snap with Kelce.
The photo shows Kelce in his suit in the middle, with the woman holding the black instrument with the title of Swift's latest album, 'The Tortured Poets Department', inscribed below the strings.
Swift's signature is evident alongside a photo of her which is imprinted into the wood of the six-string.
Earlier Thursday, Mahomes held a glitzy poolside party for celebrities attending the tournament including Rob Riggle, Johnny Manziel, and Von Miller.
Also at the charity gala, Mahomes and Kelce were seen sitting next to each other while a speech was being made with the foundation's logo on the nearby lectern.
Swift and Kelce have maintained a low profile since the Super Bowl, enjoying time in private after the Chiefs lost their quest for another championship in February to the Philadelphia Eagles.
Swift herself was not in attendance in Las Vegas, but Brittany Mahomes was, wearing a sleek black dress. Earlier in the week, Kelce was in New York City with older brother Jason Kelce for an event with Prime Video.
The final round of the golf event took place Friday in Las Vegas, with Mahomes' father, Patrick Mahomes Sr., being given special dispensation by the authorities to fly to Las Vegas for his son's star-studded golf event, as he continues to deal with the fallout of his DWI arrest.
On Wednesday, the complete 2025 NFL schedule was released, with it being a long season of travel and interference with prior commitments for Kelce.
Kelce publicly revealed his dread at the upcoming schedule on the latest episode of the New Heights podcast when he revealed that the Chiefs would be opening their season against the Los Angeles Chargers in Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The NFL also confirmed on Wednesday morning that the Chiefs will play Dallas Cowboys in Texas on Thanksgiving.
Kelce and Swift arrived hand-in-hand for a Mother's Day lunch in Philadelphia last week
Kelce and Swift were spotted out in public together for the first time in months, reportedly joining Jason, Kylie and both of their moms for a heartwarming Mother's Day lunch in Philadelphia.
Taylor was all smiles and held Travis' hand as they arrived at Talula's Garden for the meal in Washington Square, Philadelphia last week, according to various social media reports.
Their shock arrival is said to have stunned diners at the popular farm-to-table restaurant, but Taylor grinned from ear-to-ear as she walked in for the Mother's Day meal with both sides of the family.
According to the TikTok user who shared the photos of the pair, both Taylor's mom Andrea and Travis' mom Donna were present, though neither were pictured.
Despite its exclusivity, the food is well-priced, with Sunday's brunch menu featuring a southern style shrimp and grits for $25, southern peach pancakes for $22, and buttermilk fried chicken and waffle for $24.
Travis and Taylor have not been spotted together publicly since a dinner date in New York City back in March.

NBA insider reveals why Tom Thibodeau was fired by the New York Knicks

NBA insider Brian Windhorst has revealed Tom Thibodeau was fired by the New York Knicks for making personnel changes too late into the season. Thibodeau was shockingly fired by the Knicks on Tuesday, three days after their playoff elimination at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. Now, as New York looks for a new coach in a hire that will have championship-or-bust expectations, Windhorst has shined a light on why there is a vacancy in Manhattan in the first place. 'What Tom Thibodeau did to his coaching strategy during the Eastern Conference finals might've assured his firing. What I mean by that is after falling down 2-0 in that series, he made a whole bunch of changes,' Windhorst said on 'Get Up'. 'He changed his starting lineup. Then he extended multiple players into his bench - something that players, team personnel, and people across the league had been begging him to do for months. He also changed some of his strategies within the coaching of the game, and it worked.' Yet, the changes may have been a little too late, in moves that were reactive and not proactive, to keep him with the franchise. For most of the season, Thibodeau stuck to his core rotation of seven players and did not dig into his bench. It worked against the Pistons and Celtics, but bit them against the Pacers, who had the depth to tire out Jalen Brunson and the rest of Thibodeau's preferred players. The Knicks will likely try to swing big with their hire, trying to court Dan Hurley or Jay Wright, before going for a more realistic option if the home-run option does not work. Other names like Mike Malone and Johnnie Bryant have been tossed around to be the next Knicks coach, with the most important factor of the hire being someone who can maintain what Thibodeau built. The next head coach in New York will have his legacy with the team directly tied to that of team president Leon Rose, who made the decision, with the backing of owner James Dolan, to fire Thibodeau.

Helen Hunt, 61, reveals she does not diet, use Botox or get plastic surgery... see her now

Helen Hunt refuses to conform to Hollywood's beauty standards. The 61-year-old actress used to feel pressure to look a certain way, but her outlook has changed in recent years. 'It felt impossible not to internalize the way you're supposed to look. And [there was] a certain amount of misery and shame around not looking exactly that way,' she said while speaking to Flow Space. Helen realized that Hollywood's beauty standards were affecting her self-esteem. However, she now would not allow outside pressures to damage her mental health. The What Women Want star said: 'I realized, "This could quietly ruin your whole life." I made a decision: I'm not playing. Not gonna [let it] take up a lot of space in my mind.' Helen's new approach has been heavily influenced by The Only Diet There Is, a book written by the spiritual leader Sondra Ray. The actress explained: 'What I took from it, is eat what you want and love every bite, period.' This also meant she has refused Botox and plastic surgery as she prefers to age naturally. Meanwhile, Helen previously admitted to obsessing about her appearance in the 80s. The movie star felt under pressure to look a certain way at the time - but a change of attitude has proven to be transformational for her. She told HuffPost Live: 'I had my run in the '80s about being really worried about how I looked. Everybody was more fit, or more thin, and I maxed out on worrying about it.' Helen's change in attitude has benefited her mental and physical health. The actress - who has won a host of accolades during her career, including an Academy Award and four Golden Globes - reflected: 'I just gave up on worrying about it. When I gave it up, my brain and body got better. 'I was taking these exercise classes called abs, thighs, and buns and I was like, "I'm going to be dead one day — do I really want to give up an hour in this class?"' Helen has an Academy Award, four Emmys, and four Golden Globes under her belt. She's known for her roles in film, theater, and television, including the NBC sitcom Mad About You (1992–1999) and the 1997 romantic comedy As Good as It Gets. For her portrayal of Jamie Buchman in Mad About You, Hunt won four Emmys, three Golden Globes, and a Screen Actors Guild Award. She was seen in March in a new social media photo. Hunt flashed a beaming smile from Wrigley Field in Chicago, joined by her boyfriend, Big Little Lies actor Jeffrey Nordling. Bundled up for the late-winter chill, the Mad About You star, who charmed audiences as Jamie Buchman from 1992 to 1999, made it clear she was ready for baseball season to begin. 'In just a few hours, the Chicago @cubs will play my @dodgers in Tokyo in the first game of the 2025 season. Let's go Dodgers,' she captioned her post. 'But my goodness, the Cubs are epic and this stadium is a work of art.' While decades have passed since she played Sarah Jessica Parker 's free-spirited best friend in Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985), Helen still carries that unmistakable movie-star glow. Her playful Instagram update follows a glamorous turn at last month's Vanity Fair Oscar Party, where she wowed in a chic Christian Siriano gown and held hands with Nordling. The couple first crossed paths while co-starring in Shooter, a 1988 NBC movie about Vietnam War photographers. She played Tracey, while he took on the role of Matt Thompson—but romance didn't seem to spark back then. Fast forward to May 2022, and fans started speculating when Jeffrey shared a group photo from Dodger Stadium, where he and Helen were hanging out with Camryn Manheim and Billie Jean King. By October, they made things official with a red carpet debut at the Los Angeles Philharmonic's 20th Anniversary Gala at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. Hunt was born on June 15, 1963, in Culver City, California, and began acting as a child, making her television debut in the 1973 series Pioneer Woman. She gained widespread recognition for her role as Jamie Buchman in Mad About You (1992–1999), earning four Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series. In 1997, Hunt won the Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance as Carol Connelly in As Good as It Gets, starring opposite Jack Nicholson. She continued her film success with leading roles in Twister (1996), Pay It Forward (2000), and The Sessions (2012), the latter earning her an Oscar nomination. Hunt made her feature film directorial debut with Then She Found Me (2007). She was married to producer Matthew Carnahan from 2001 to 2017, and they share a daughter, Makena Lei Gordon Carnahan, born in 2004. In the last five years, Hunt reprised her iconic role as Jamie Buchman in the Mad About You revival, which aired in 2019 on Spectrum Originals. She has also directed episodes of popular TV shows, including Blindspotting (2021) and The Politician (2020), further establishing herself as a skilled director

Shaq and Iverson team up to revive Reebok from obscurity in the Netflix docuseries 'Power Moves'

Shaquille O'Neal and Allen Iverson once clashed on the court in the 2001 NBA Finals, but now the basketball legends are joining forces to revive the Reebok brand they helped make iconic. In the Netflix docuseries, 'Power Moves,' which premiered this week, the Hall of Famers swap jerseys for executive titles, with O'Neal stepping in as president of Reebok Basketball while Iverson takes on the role as vice president. The six-episode series offers a behind-the-scenes look at their mission to spark a cultural resurgence for the classic sneaker company. O'Neal, standing 7-foot-1, sees himself as a voice for today's big men. But when it comes to reaching the quick, gritty guards of this generation, he knows there's no better ambassador than the 6-foot Iverson, whose '90s signature shoes are still a staple in sneakerhead circles. 'I didn't build Reebok all by myself,' said O'Neal, who won three straight NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers and another with the Miami Heat. He signed with Reebok in 1992 and made the brand popular with his first signature shoe, called the Shaq Attaq. Iverson's signature shoes, The Question and The Answer, were some of the top sellers in the industry. He signed a lifetime endorsement and marketing contract with Reebok in 2001. 'I needed A.I. to be vice president because if you're a guard, you want to see a legendary guard,' he said. "I wanted to do a show that's not scripted. Not polished. I wanted it to be real work.' Iverson called documenting his role in helping revitalize Reebok a 'full circle moment" while working alongside O'Neal, who he calls 'big bro.' 'I get the honor of doing this with (Shaq), having a relationship with him,' said Iverson, the former Philadelphia 76ers guard, who was an 11-time All-Star and won the league's MVP in 2001 — the same year O'Neal and Iverson faced off in the NBA Finals. Iverson was known for being an undersized guard who played with a supersized heart. 'The type of things I learn from him — on and off the court. He's just a beautiful guy," Iverson said about O'Neal. "He stands up to his faults. The things that he felt he did wrong in life. The way he treats his mom. All that resembles who I am. That makes this special.' Reebok, founded in 1895, became a household name in the early 1990s, thanks to Boston Celtics guard Dee Brown and his iconic Pump sneakers. The brand took off from there inking major deals with O'Neal and Iverson, partnering with the NFL, NBA, NHL and MLB, and even stepping into hip-hop with signature lines for Jay-Z and 50 Cent's G-Unit. But Reebok's cultural momentum began to fade after Nike doubled down on star power with Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James. Adidas bought the company for $3.8 billion in 2006, aiming to better compete with Nike on a global scale. Instead, Reebok struggled to find its footing, gradually losing its identity in both sports and style. 'Now it's time for us to get Reebok back to prominence," said O'Neal, who played a key role in Reebok's acquisition in 2021 by Authentic Brands Group, where he is a shareholder. 'There's all these competitive brands, which is fine. It makes the job harder. But for me, it's all about motivation and trying to build." 'Power Moves' dives into Reebok's strategy for staying relevant, including signing rising stars like WNBA phenom Angel Reese to the brand's first name, image and likeness (NIL) deal. The series also shows how O'Neal leans on a surprising source for insight into today's athletes through his son, Shareef. Shaq was initially set on creating high-top sneakers, until a visit to a massive Amateur Athletic Union tournament — with nearly 70 courts — sparked a shift. Shareef pulled his dad aside and explained that low tops are the go-to for this generation. It was a lightbulb moment that helped Shaq better understand and connect with modern players. 'I had to realize that my way is not always the right way,' Shaq said. 'Sometimes, the best way to be an effective leader is listening to the ones who are really in the trenches.' Iverson believes he and Shaq can help Reebok bounce back by paying forward the same support and opportunity the brand once gave them. 'We're going to show our love to the brand that showed us love,' he said. 'We're putting our efforts into what they did in my life. Reebok took care of my family, my friends, me. It was a power move. We're here to bring it back.'
