'Housefull 5' to surprise audiences with two endings; Jackie Shroff calls Akshay Kumar the ‘biggest joker'
The 'Housefull 5' trailer is out, revealing a unique twist: each theater will show a different killer, offering two alternate endings. Starring Akshay Kumar, Nargis Fakhri, and Fardeen Khan, the film releases on June 6, 2025, blending comedy with a thrilling murder mystery in Bollywood's iconic franchise.
The eagerly awaited 'Housefull 5' trailer is out, bringing with it an unexpected announcement from producer
Sajid Nadiadwala
during the launch event. Set to release on June 6, 2025, this latest chapter of Bollywood's beloved comedy series will uniquely offer two alternate endings.
Reflecting on the concept, Nadiadwala said, 'In my mind, I've been playing with this idea for 30 years.
If I ever made a thriller, what would be the X-factor? How would people walk out of the theatre if the identity of the villain was kept secret?'.
Sajid Nadiadwala on the Unique Twist
He revealed the film's unusual twist: 'I've written a story where every theatre will have a different killer. So if you watch it at Gaiety, it'll have one killer.
If you watch it at Galaxy, there'll be another. In PVR screen number 4, you'll see a different killer, and in PVR screen number 5, yet another one. It's like every time you watch the film, you'll get a different ending.' Nadiadwala further emphasized the novelty of the concept, saying, 'The film basically has two endings, something that hasn't even happened anywhere else in the world.
'
Nargis Fakhri's Emotional Comeback
At the trailer launch, actress Nargis Fakhri made a heartfelt return to the big screen with 'Housefull 5'.
She emotionally recounted the chance encounter that led to her role: 'There's so much excitement. It's also kinda funny how it actually happened. In fact, it happened here at PVR Juhu, at the elevator, where I met Sajid sir. I told him, 'Hey, I miss you, we should work together again.' And a few days later, he called and said, 'Housefull 5.
' I said, 'Woah, that's amazing.' I feel like it's a great comeback. I wasn't here for a while, but now I'm finally back.'
She also praised the atmosphere on set, saying, 'It was really incredible on the sets of Housefull 5, where everyone got along. It was such a supportive and fun set. I'm so happy that Sajid called me, and I'm here now.'
Fardeen Khan's Return
Fardeen Khan is making a significant return to cinema with 'Housefull 5', marking his first major appearance on the big screen in over ten years. Reflecting on this phase, he shared, 'It feels like a second coming, in my case, you could argue it's a third.
But to be met with so much respect, love, and appreciation from colleagues, it's something I'm deeply grateful for.' He further explained, 'Coming back after a 12-year break isn't something you can plan.
But I'm just prepared for it. I missed being on set, missed telling stories, and missed the connection with the audience. And now to have a fourth release in just one year, and that too with Housefull 5, such a successful and iconic comedy franchise in Hindi film history, it just feels like a celebration.
I'm extremely grateful to everyone who believed in me and gave me this opportunity.'
Jackie Shroff Names
Akshay Kumar
the 'Biggest Joker'

He said, 'Itne bade bade joker hai bhai… magar sabse bada joker hai jisne abhi bola safed suit mein (Akshay Kumar) uske samne kaun bol sakta hai kuch.
Ek number ka badmaash hai… khade khade kab shirt nikal deta hai pata hi nahi chalta hai.'
A Star-Studded Ensemble

Neena Gupta once shared a very personal and difficult part of her life. After the birth of her daughter, Masaba Gupta , Neena faced a shocking challenge — she was thrown out of her aunt's house in the middle of the night. In a chat earlier this year on YouTube channel, the veteran actress opened up about one of the most painful moments in her life. Neena's life in Mumbai The 'Badhaai Ho' actress moved to Mumbai from Delhi in the 1980s to build her acting career. Instead of renting homes, she always preferred to sell and upgrade. But during one such transition, things didn't go as planned. She had just sold her house and used the money to book a new flat in a builder's project. While waiting for her new home to be ready, she needed a place to stay. So, she turned to family. The 'Goodbye' actress shared, 'I shifted to my aunt's house, where I had stayed before. I thought I stayed there so much of the time, and I just came back to my house to sleep. Since Masaba was little then, my aunt used to help in looking after the baby.' 'She kicked me out': The shocking night Everything seemed fine at first. Neena had already informed her uncle and aunt that she would be staying with them for a while since she didn't have a house at the time. They agreed. But suddenly, things took a harsh turn. She said, 'But one day, she threw me out in the middle of the night; she kicked me out. I had no money left. There was this one night where I had nowhere to go with a baby.' A dusty, abandoned shelter Neena's uncle felt guilty about the way things had happened. Wanting to help, he offered her a house in Juhu that had been closed for 20 years. The place was in bad shape, but she had no other option. She further shared, 'My uncle felt very bad, so he shifted me to his mother-in-law's house in Juhu, which had been shut for 20 years. There were cobwebs in the house; it looked rusty. I went there, and I cleaned that house with a small baby. But soon, I was asked to leave that house as well.' Once again, Neena and baby Masaba were left without a home. With nowhere else to go, Neena decided to speak directly to the builder from whom she had booked the new flat. She explained her tough situation and asked for her money back. Thankfully, the builder agreed and returned the full amount. With this money, Neena was finally able to buy a house in Aram Nagar. Neena and Masaba Gupta Neena Gupta gave birth to Masaba in 1989. At that time, she was in a relationship with West Indies cricketer Vivian Richards . Raising her daughter alone, she faced many challenges both in her personal life and in public. Later, in 2008, Neena found love again and married Vivek Mehra in a quiet ceremony. Mira Nair's son brings Bollywood flair, Hindi to New York mayoral campaign
Zohran Mamdani, a democratic candidate for New York City's mayoral race, on Wednesday tapped into his family's movie background to attack front-runner Andrew Cuomo and make his case for the June 24 election. Mamdani, who is the son of filmmaker Mira Nair, shared a video on X, pitting his agenda against that of Cuomo. But there is a twist - the campaign video is in Hindi. 'This election is just 20 days away, and the choice is between me and Andrew Cuomo. This is all that Andrew Cuomo has to offer,' Mamdani says in Hindi before the video cuts to a scene of Amitabh Bachchan's 1975 hit Deewar. Instead of Shashi Kapoor saying "mere pass maa hai" to the question 'what do you have?', the video cuts to Zohran Mamdani, who says,' I have the people.' Mamdani, who could become the first New York mayor of South Asian descent, said that it wasn't about who he's become but about what he would do. 'I'm going to make our city affordable. New Yorkers are struggling to afford food, clothing, and shelter. I'm fighting to change that. Freeze rent, free buses, universal childcare, and cheaper groceries,' he says in Hindi. Mamdani, a New York state representative, is one of the leading candidates in the Democratic party for the mayoral race, along with Andrew Cuomo, the former New York governor. Incumbent mayor Eric Adams is contesting the polls on an independent ballot. A majority of New Yorkers still say the biggest US city needs safer streets and better housing to make it more livable, according to a survey cited by Bloomberg. Just one in three New Yorkers, or 34 percent, rate the city's quality of life as excellent or good, according to the latest resident survey from the Citizens Budget Commission. That's up slightly from 30 percent in 2023's survey but less than the 51 percent in 2017 who gave it high marks. According to the report by the nonpartisan fiscal watchdog, affordability, crime and safety, housing, and taxes are the top issues in deciding whether to remain in New York City or leave. About 55 percent of those surveyed said they planned to stay in the city for the next five years. While that's up from 50 percent in 2023, it's still less than 58 percent of residents in 2017 who planned to remain in the city.
