Coronation Street finally confirms if Kit is really Brody's dad

Is Kit Green a father? (Picture: ITV) Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) was thrown when he discovered Brody Michaelis (Ryan Mulvey) might be his son in Coronation Street recently. When he learned that Lou (Farrel Hegarty) and Mick (Joe Layton)'s boy was 16 years old, he realised the dates fitted the time when Mick was in prison – and Kit and Lou had a fling together. Lou, however, has been denying that Brody is Kit's son. This has left Kit unsure about where he stands, although we've seen his behaviour towards Brody reflecting the fact that there's part of him that really believes he could be Brody's dad. He's let him off with a warning after catching him stealing, and when he found Brody having an epileptic seizure Kit took care of him and stayed with him at the hospital until Lou arrived. Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove) quickly warmed to the idea that she could be Brody's granny and urged Kit to do a DNA test to confirm whether this was really the case. She even 'borrowed' Brody's cap while he was in hospital to get some hairs off it for testing purposes. DNA duly dispatched, Kit is about to get the answer he's been waiting for – and it will change his world forever. Kit finally gets some answers (Picture: ITV) Kit used to hang out with Lou and Mick when they were younger (Picture: ITV) Brody is causing trouble again on the Street when Aadi (Adam Hussain) throws a midsummer-themed party at number 7, and Brody decides there's money to be made supplying LSD to Weatherfield's youth. Aadi kicks Brody out after seeing him with the drugs, but he doesn't go quietly and there's a fight. Then, with Brody gone, Aadi, Summer (Harriet Bibby) and Nina (Mollie Gallagher) prepare to take the LSD. Aadi, however, is distracted and when he comes back someone else has taken his share. With all of this going on at number 7, elsewhere Kit has had the DNA results. Bernie is desperate to find out whether she really is Brody's granny – and Kit confirms she is. He's the boy's dad. The father/son bond is about to be put to the test, though, when Kit receives a report of illegal drugs being circulated at the party – and the person who took Aadi's share of the LSD is now in a deteriorating condition. Kit questions Aadi about what went on at the party. Will he drop Brody in it by explaining that he supplied the drugs? And if he does, how will Kit's newly-discovered relationship with Brody affect how he handles the situation? All Hollyoaks spoilers for next week as killer takes a hostage

Comebacks and chaos are on the menu in Hollyoaks next week, as confirmed in my new spoilers, with two familiar faces' returns at the centre of another exciting week. The beloved Channel 4 soap has been serving hard over the past few months and that's showing no signs of changing, with another whopper on the cards. But just what are the residents of the eponymous deadly village getting up to during the week in question? What aren't they getting up to would probably be a more appropriate question! With her cancer in remission and having suffered through the loss of Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) – not to mention the comeback of nemesis Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) – Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) needs nothing more than a quiet week right now. Unfortunately for her that's not on the cards as instead she gets told that son Bobby (Zak Sutcliffe) has escaped the secure home, prompting a mother and son reunion that she couldn't have predicted. To view this video please enable JavaScript, and consider upgrading to a web browser that supports HTML5 video The walls close in on Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), meanwhile, as the serial killer faces fresh trauma when his mother all but disowns him – and he gets blackmailed. And Diane Hutchinson (Alex Fletcher) is determined to win back her man in Tony (Nick Pickard)! But with Marie Fielding (Rita Simons) still on the scene, will she succeed? Craving more deets on all the juicy drama? Fear not, that's just for starters! Prince throws a 'screw you cancer' party in honour of Mercedes, who spoils the surprise when she walks in on the planning. Upon learning of Freddie's role in putting the party together, she tells her family to carry on with the organising. The party gets underway at Casa, with Myra delivering a heartfelt speech. Mercedes, however, is acting suspiciously and soon proceedings are halted as Donny arrives on official police business, informing Mercy that Bobby has escaped from the secure home, presumably in a social worker's car. Reeling, Mercedes plans to meet with Bobby. Jez, meanwhile, is spooked to learn of Dodger's plan to meet with Tori's social worker and thus skips out on Mercedes' party, much to the upset of John Paul. Dodger meets in the park with the social worker, who is spooked as he admits that Dennis made a confession before his death, revealing that he was being harassed by a member of the Blake clan. Dodger wonders if it could be Dilly, with Jez delighted to know that he's off the hook. Or at least that's what he thinks – as someone later slips a letter under the door, with smiling Jez left reeling as he discovers someone is blackmailing him. Elsewhere, Diane and Marie vie for Tony's affection. The two throw insults at one another, with Tony left red-faced. Mercedes finds Bobby hiding in The Dog. He apologises for everything he's done. Tony, meanwhile, is hurt to discover that Bobby has escaped and he's not alone in that respect, with Goldie arriving back in the village on a mission to ensure Bobby serves the rest of his sentence. Mercedes is of a similar mindset, urging Bobby to hand himself in so that he can do his time and secure his freedom the right way. The question is: will he listen? Elsewhere, Martha washes her hands of Jez, branding the serial killer too hard to love. Jez appears to be genuinely hurt by his mum's words. Rejected by Martha and with no-one else to confide in about his crimes, he keeps someone prisoner at the shed. More Trending But just who is it? Time is ticking for Bobby to get out of the village, with work imminently set to commence on The Dog. Donny watches Mercedes closely. Will Bobby make it out of the village? Danny Dyer reveals bizarre diet trick that helps him 'keep the weight off' but admits it's a struggle

Danny Dyer has revealed his bizarre diet idea that helps him 'keep the weight off' on Wednesday. The EastEnders star, 47, admitted that while he does find his hack effective, it does become a 'struggle.' Speaking to Louis Theroux on his podcast, in quotes obtained by The Sun, Danny explained: 'I want to build up to not eating anything on Monday. 'I fast in the day just to keep the weight off. I feel like if you fast, it's good for your body as well. 'But it's a struggle. Mondays are s**te anyway. 'So you know you got to look forward to your dinner on a Monday. But I do fast during the day until the afternoon.' Danny added: 'Just liquids so your body can start to eat itself. You've got to drink plenty of water while you're doing it and it does work.' Elsewhere he discussed the moment he realised he was 'destroying' his life with drugs and credited his EastEnders co-star Luisa Bradshaw-White for telling him he had an issue. During the interview, the pair discussed how Danny's moment of clarity to make a change came after being 'off his head' following the NTA s back in 2017. Louis kicked off the conversation by asking the star: 'On Desert Island Discs. You talk about not being able to put your trousers on...' referring to the day after the NTAs. Danny candidly replied: 'I had a moment of clarity where I had been on it all night after the NTAs. 'I think I'd won and that's always on like a Tuesday or something and I had to go to work. 'There's another thing with EastEnders, is that they go, "Yeah, come celebrate NTAs, but you are up at seven in the morning". So anyway, I'd just overdone it again and I just could not work out how to get my jeans on. Wanting Danny to explain further, Louis asked him: 'Which part of it?' Danny replied: 'I was just sitting on my en suite toilet trying to work out what leg goes in what, and I don't why. 'I've sort of had many of them moments over the years of me being completely off my head. 'But that one really resonated with me. It was more because I looked up, my wife was just watching me and she looked shattered and she looked ill. 'And of course, you know, the drug taking and the madness that comes with it, you're destroying yourself and your body and you're slowly killing yourself, but you also, you're really upsetting the people around you. 'I just looked at her, even through this moment, I was off my head. But everything seemed to just sort of go, what the f*ck are you doing to people around you that love you? 'And it was that moment and I could hear Artie, my son, who's now 11, he must have been 3. He was running around downstairs and I think I'd got rid of the last straggler out the house.' When asked what the time would have been Danny added: 'Well it would've been about 6.30-6.45.' Clarifying further, Louis asked the star: 'What in the morning?' To which Danny replied: 'Yeah, So I had a car picking me up to take me to work and it was just this moment I thought, "s**t, you're going to die. 'You're going to kill yourself. You're not happy. You're spanking all your money on drugs. You're destroying everything around you." He continued: 'It's weird, that moment, because I went straight to work that day and I was a bit off my head and I did say, "Listen, I need help. I can't do this anymore, 'I need help. I don't know what it is, but this is a crossroads in my life where I need a gear change and I need it now and I don't think I'm going to survive this year". Crediting his co-star, he added: 'And so, you know, I want give a shout out to Louisa Bradshaw White, who played my sister Tina, who really came to the front for me, more than anybody else. 'She'd always said that she thinks I've got an issue and problem. No one else would say that to me… I don't know, people don't want to busy themselves in your life either. 'She would always say, "whenever you're ready" you know, that was her vibe with me and then I was ready.' When Louis said he wondered if Louisa had been through something similar, Danny said: 'She's had her issues like a lot of people have really, and a lot of people in my life, 'I've seen a lot of people go through some quite heavy stuff and always thought, "oh f*cking hell, that's quite heavy, glad I'm not that bad." Actually, turns out I was, it just took me a longer route to get there. In 2019, Danny revealed that in his past he binged on crack cocaine and was in such a 'dark place' that he was 'slowly committing suicide'. He told the i newspaper at the time: 'I was in such a dark place, I was slowly committing suicide. I had no hope, I hated myself, couldn't look in the mirror for more than five seconds. He recalled one of his darkest moments as staying up all night smoking crack before appearing in his mentor Harold Pinter's play Celebration back in 2001 at New York's Lincoln Center. He confessed: 'I was abusing myself so much, my brain wasn't ready and I didn't have a clue what to say. 'The blood rushed from my feet to my head and I was petrified. I felt so vulnerable.'
