Under the Bridge is an adaptation of Rebecca Godfrey's 2005 true crime book of the same name.
It details the brutal murder of 14-year-old Reena Virk in British Columbia, Canada, in 1997.
A synopsis of the miniseries reads: "In 1997, 14-year-old Reena Virk [Vritika Gupta] attends a party on a quiet island in British Columbia in Canada, and never returns home.
"Reena's disappearance intrigues a novelist [Keough] who has returned to her home town, and finds herself drawn into the hidden world of the teenage suspects."

Meanwhile, Lily Gladstone, who was nominated for Best Actress at the 2024 Oscars for her role in Killers of the Flower Moon, plays Office Cam Bentland.
Under the Bridge was originally released on Disney Plus in 2024 but will now be coming to terrestrial TV as well.

World War II series based on 'one of the greatest books ever' is now available to stream

The 2019 drama series features a stellar cast and is a 'wonderful rendering of the classic satirical novel' A "must-watch" World War II series is currently available to stream. The gripping drama features an ensemble cast and is based on "one of the greatest books ever written". Telly fans are being urged to make sure to catch the mini-series while it is readily available, with viewers hailing the "amazing" cast and "wonderful" retelling of the book. Hulu series Catch-22 first appeared on the small screen in 2019, as an adaptation of Joseph Heller's celebrated 1961 novel of the same name. The series follows the journey of Captain John Yossarian (played by Christopher Abbott) and his comrades during World War II as they carry out their duties for their country. Their freedom depends on finishing a set number of operations. Yet, precisely when they approach their liberation, the mission tally is consistently raised, throwing them back into danger, reports the Express. The ensemble cast also features George Clooney as Scheisskopf, Emmy-winning Argo star Kyle Chandler as Colonel Cathcart, Godfather of Harlem's Rafi Gavron as Aarfy, Reacher's Daniel David Stewart as Milo, and Major Crimes' Graham Patrick Martin as Orr, amongst others. One TV fan gave the show a 10/10 rating on IMDb. They said: "Fantastic. The entire cast of this series is amazing. "It has all the drama and humor but not as slapstick as the movie. I've been glued to the TV since it was released. You will fall in love with these characters and the actors who portray them." A second viewer commented: "Wonderful rendering of the classic satirical novel. This is a very enjoyable watch, especially if you read the book and saw the movie. "The acting is superb and the battle scenes are realistic but not too graphically violent. I appreciate a director and writer who do not feel they must gross us out at every turn. It has a nice subtlety and that was lacking in the original movie." Another reviewer praised it as: "One of the greatest books ever written, certainly as an anti-war film." Speaking about Abbott's performance as John Yossarian, they added: "His face is so emotive and he captured the complexity of his character." Wrapping up, they wrote: "For those of you who totally missed the point and were expecting a regular war movie, did you get what the title means?" A fourth viewer hailed it as "a must watch" and said: "Perfect mix of comedy and drama. Made me laugh one second and get emotional the next." Beyond his acting role in Catch-22, Clooney worked as an executive producer on the series and directed two of the six episodes. This 2019 version of Catch-22 comes after a 1970 cinema adaptation, with the latest television series securing an 84 per cent fresh score from critics and an 82 per cent approval rating from viewers. Catch-22 is currently available for streaming on Prime Video and Apple TV+. The 30 best films on Disney+ to watch now

With Disney+, the clue is very much in the name: there's a lot more on there than just the classic catalogue we'd usually call Disney. Following their acquisitions of Pixar (2006), Marvel (2009), Lucasfilm (2012), and – biggest of all – 20th Century Fox (2019), the service went live with all of those separate coffers jam-packed. Many families own it chiefly for animated favourites old and new, so I've devoted about half of this list to cherry-picking those. Every Star Wars sequel (plus the TV spin-offs) is available, of course; ditto every entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I've only picked one favourite apiece in those canons, but franchise devotees will doubtless know their way around that content already. What's less foregrounded is some of the more adult-targeted Fox content, from a pretty broad range of genres, so this dominates the back end of my list. Yes, Avatar and its sequel are streamable, too, but there's a lot more to the studio's back catalogue than effects blockbusters. It would be a real blessing if Disney would license Fox's golden oldies – couldn't we have Laura (1944) or My Darling Clementine (1946) or All About Eve (1950)? For the time being, though, there's some splendid rummaging to be done in the past half-century. Skip to: Animation Musicals Comedy/Drama Fantasy and Sci-fi War Animation Moana (2016)

Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star welcomes third child

Mayci Neeley of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is officially a mother of three. The star, 30, announced the arrival of her baby daughter with a sweet Instagram post on Saturday. This marks Mayci's second child with husband Jacob Neeley. The couple are also parents to four-year-old daughter Harlow. Mayci also has a nine-year-old son named Hudson, whose father is her late boyfriend Arik Mack. Announcing the birth of her newest edition, Mayci shared sweet snaps of her and Jacob with their baby girl in the hospital. 'Our girl is here and our hearts are so full,' she captioned the post. The star has not yet revealed her daughter's name. She also displayed her bare bump prior to giving birth as she promised more details about her bundle of joy in the future. 'I can't wait to share more details of baby girl's birth. It was so positive & magical,' she posted to her Instagram Stories. Mayci rose to fame as a member of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, a showing following MomTok, a group of glamorous Mormon influencers who were plunged into a sex scandal when Taylor Frankie Paul, one of it's members, outed herself as a swinger. It recently debuted it's second season. Last year, The Secret Lives Of Mormon Wives was ranked the number one unscripted show on Hulu, becoming the streamer's biggest premiere since The Kardashians. Sparks flew between the members of the principal cast, which was made up of Taylor, Jen Affleck, Demi Engemann, Whitney Leavitt, Mikayla Matthews, Mayci, Jessi Ngatikaura, Layla Taylor. The show caused a stir both online and in the LDS church thanks to the outrageous antics of the cast. Some of the wild scenes on the show have included a sex act involving breakfast cereal, a swinging scandal, a drunken arrest, and a trip to a male strip revue in Vegas. One cast member also revealed the results of her labiaplasty on camera, while another confessed to getting pregnant to her now-husband when she was just 16 and he was 21. The series is produced by the team behind Netflix's My Unorthodox Life, which followed designer Julia Haart after leaving her strict orthodox Jewish community behind to become a hotshot in the fashion world.
