Do Belly and Jeremiah get married in The Summer I Turned Pretty books?

The Summer I Turned Pretty fans are curious about the wedding
WARNING: This article contains spoilers from The Summer I Turned Pretty novels by Jenny Han

Season three of The Summer I Turned Pretty (TSITP) is certainly heating up now as Belly (played by Lola Tung) and Jeremiah (Gavin Casalegno) prepare for their upcoming nuptials as fans think they've worked out the show's endgame.

Last week's episode of the Prime Video YA drama saw the couple trying to plan their ceremony after Belly's mother Laurel (Jackie Chung) refused to go wedding dress shopping with her.

Despite Belly's heartbreak at her mother's decision, Jeremiah had more luck when Conrad (Christopher Briney) and Steve (Sean Kaufman) both agreed to be his best men, with the next episode expected to feature more fallout.
The countdown is on towards the wedding after Belly announced they would be tying the knot within six weeks after Jeremiah's hasty engagement proposal.
Now, it looks like nothing can stop Jeremiah and Belly walking down the aisle - even Conrad's lingering feelings for her.

Many fans of the TV series are curious to know whether Belly and Jeremiah will actually get hitched and are looking to the books for answers and spoilers - here's everything you need to know.
Do Belly and Jeremiah get married in The Summer I Turned Pretty books?
According to TSITP fandom page, no, Belly and Jeremiah don't get married in the books.

Season three adapts material from the third novel in Jenny Han's beloved TSITP trilogy, We'll Always Have Summer.
In the novel, the couple nearly walks down the aisle after Jeremiah's proposal to win Belly back after cheating on her.
But on the evening before the wedding, Belly reveals to Jeremiah that Conrad is still in love with her after he confessed his true feelings.

Jeremiah confronts his older brother, and the siblings get into a fight over Belly and which of them loves her more.
Conrad convinces Jeremiah to reconcile with Belly after their fight.
Jeremiah then returns to Belly and says they can only get married if she promises she only loves him.

Unfortunately, Belly says a part of her will always love Conrad and this admission serves as the dealbreaker for Jeremiah.

The pair split for good and the wedding is called off with Jeremiah disowning Conrad and leaving.
In the novel, there are hints that Belly and Jeremiah's ill-fated relationship isn't going to stand the test of time even before the night before the wedding.
In the run-up to the ceremony, Belly is left with the mental load of organising the whole ceremony rather than Jeremiah helping her.
They also fail to get an apartment because Jeremiah doesn't have a great credit history and his lack of financial stability means they get turned down.
Although this is how the novel goes, the TV adaptation could take a different route and fans will have to see how the story pans out on screen.

Erotic thriller with several steamy scenes that left viewers 'on edge' added to Prime Video

The raunchy film is said to contain an Oscar winner's best performance of their career A steamy erotic thriller featuring an Oscar winner's supposedly 'career-defining performance' has landed on Prime Video. ‌ Babygirl, which first hit British cinemas in January this year, can now be enjoyed from the comfort of your own home. ‌ The picture sparked considerable controversy upon release thanks to its explicit intimate sequences, drawing parallels to the notorious Fifty Shades of Grey franchise. ‌ The production allegedly received a seven-minute standing ovation during its Venice Film Festival premiere, allowing viewers to form their own opinions about the provocative drama. The plot centres around Academy Award-winning star Nicole Kidman, who portrays a powerful chief executive enjoying a peaceful family existence with her spouse (Antonio Banderas) and offspring, until a new intern (Harris Dickinson) arrives on the scene, reports the Express. Kidman's character subsequently finds herself endangering both her professional standing and domestic stability, gambling everything for a torrid romance and forbidden passion. Critical reception proved somewhat divided, though the film still secured a fresh 76% score on Rotten Tomatoes, with numerous reviewers praising Kidman's turn. One critic declared: "Babygirl is absolutely riveting, with a career-best performance from Kidman." ‌ Many were swift to draw comparisons with similar themed productions, particularly the Fifty Shades of Grey film series. One critic praised the film, stating: "Babygirl is an intoxicating erotic drama that is far more complex, and therefore much more interesting, than the comparable Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy." Echoing this sentiment, another reviewer wrote: "Babygirl is the movie Fifty Shades of Grey and its sequels wanted to be. It's a serious exploration of personal kink that radiates intelligence and evokes emotion instead of merely titillating." The film also received mixed reviews from fans, with many recommending it for its gripping narrative. One viewer claimed the film kept them on 'the edge of their seat'. ‌ Sharing their thoughts on IMDB, one user said: "Babygirl has stayed with me long after the credits rolled. It is more than just a story about erotic tension, it's about awakening something deeper: the craving for every part of us to be fully alive. The film captures loneliness, longing, and self-discovery in a way that feels raw and real and sexy as hell." They added: "For me, Babygirl wasn't just entertainment. It stirred something powerful: a reminder that desire, hunger, and even our perceived darkness can be beautiful parts of who we are. We can have our cake and eat it too - once we embrace every part of who we are." One viewer took to social media, praising: "This is a unique and well-crafted film. It explores intriguing intricacies surrounding unfulfilled desires, highlighting how they can consume a person when finally realised, becoming as addictive and destructive as a drug. Kidman delivers an elite performance, portraying her character's internal struggles with nuance and depth. "The storyline is smart, with indirect analogies to AI and the complexities of the human mind adding layers of thoughtfulness. The cinematography, wardrobe, and settings are exceptional, fully immersing the viewer in the film's world. While not flawless, there's much to appreciate here."

However, it will not be out on Disney Plus until the end of the month. Thunderbolts will be out on D+ on Wednesday, August 27. Fans have a little less than two weeks left to wait. Advertisement Hide Ad Advertisement Hide Ad During the pandemic, Disney was relatively quick with the turn around from the big screen to streaming. Encanto, for example, released in cinema on November 24 2021 and arrived on Disney Plus a month later - December 24 - just in time for Christmas. But more recent films have stuck more firmly to the 90 day theatrical window. Captain America: Brave New World for example flew into cinemas on February 14 but didn't release on the platform until May 28 - more than three months later. Thunderbolts has followed a similar pattern to other more recent entries in the MCU in taking its sweet time to arrive on streaming. But the wait is almost over.
