Coco Gauff and Jalen Sera Share New Vacation Photos After Making Their 2-Year Relationship Public

Tennis star Coco Gauff is just 21 years old, and she's already won major titles across the world, including the 2023 U.S. Open. Last year, she defended the title against Emma Navarro, narrowly losing in the fourth match. Gauff's career, however, is just beginning and there's no doubt she'll be back to play—and win—again.
But what is Gauff's life like off the court? Fans have been curious about her romantic life for a while. She often dropped hints about a 'boyfriend,' but it wasn't until June 2025 that she confirmed she has been with artist Jalen Sera for two years.
Leading up to that point, the rumored couple was often seen together and frequently commented on one another's social media posts.
In a November 2023 interview with the Tennis Channel, Gauff hinted her relationship was serious, sharing the infinity necklace Sera gave her.
'My boyfriend gave this to me,' she said. 'I'm sure a lot of relationships look up to that symbol [of infinity], so I'm not going to explain that.'

Sera is an artist from Atlanta who seems to be creative in myriad ways. He does not post frequently on Instagram, but many of his videos are of him playing guitar. He has an IMDB profile and some acting credits. His bio says he was born in Durham, North Carolina, in 2022. He also has a twin named Terence.
In a 2024 cover story interview with Vogue, Gauff talked about dating an artist rather than an athlete.
'Some people thought it was someone in tennis and that couldn't be further from the truth,' she shared. 'He's a very nice guy. He's in school now...He's about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor, and he plays the guitar.'
Gauff mentioned in a 2024 Time interview that she had been with someone for about a year, saying she wouldn't reveal his name. She added that he was also from Atlanta and not famous.
'This is my first real relationship,' she explained. 'To just have someone to talk to who is not involved in tennis at all gives me a fresh perspective.'
Gauff's mother, Candi, shared she had actually taught her daughter's future boyfriend when he was in the fourth grade, so they have potentially known one another for quite a long time.
'My mom always said, if they're bad in school, they're probably bad as adults,' Candi joked. 'He's always been a smart, nice kid.'
It seems like they were already close when she won the U.S. Open in 2023. After her victory there, Gauff told reporters that she felt she lost a year earlier because she was thinking too much about the trophy.
'Honestly, I didn't have any of those visions [of winning] 'till last night,' she said. 'You know, I thought about it, but I told myself to get it out of my head, because that's what I did at French. I was envisioning, you know, what would happen if I would win. I think I wanted it too much.'
She continued, 'Last night, I started a little bit, but honestly, I just called my boyfriend, and I told him, 'Let's talk until it's time to go to sleep,' so we spoke until 1:00 A.M. and then I went to sleep.'
It seems like Sera was in Rome with Gauff for the Italian Open in 2024. She shared a look from one night out, writing, 'POV: I'm your dinner date.'
Sera then commented, 'Nights like this… nights like this.'
She replied, '@jalensera rewind buttons should exist.'
On a carousel of photos in which she modeled a look from New Balance, he hyped her up with one word: 'Icy!'
Gauff shared a sweet photo from a day in the park that looks like it was taken by Sera, but it included his twin brother, Terence. Over the image she wrote,'Happy birthday, @jalensera, @iamterencejt 22!!'

In March 2025, Sera reacted to Gauff's glamorous yellow Miu Miu Oscars look by resharing a photo of her on his Instagram Stories with the caption, 'Regal 💫,' per Us Weekly. He followed up with another Story calling her 'THE star,' adding, 'Like come on man.'
In May 2025, Sera publicly cheered Gauff on after her three-set semifinal victory over Qinwen Zheng at the Italian Open. He reposted her Instagram to his Stories, writing, 'Warrior.'
In June 2025, Gauff confirmed her relationship with Sera during a BOSE promotional video shoot. In the clip, she listened to an audio message from him that said, 'Just wanted to say you're the absolute coolest person ever. I'm so proud of you. You're doing great and I love you.'
