HM Shah said such honours not only acknowledge his leadership but also strengthen India's diplomatic standing worldwide.
Earlier, BJP leader Amit Malviya praised PM Modi's growing international popularity and described his 23 Global Honours as a reflection of the country's global ascent.
Malviya, in charge of the BJP's National Information and Technology Department, took to social media to celebrate PM Modi's latest honour and said, 'No Prime Minister of India has ever had such a profound global impact.'
'This is not just about one leader -- it reflects the rise of India's economic strength, strategic clarity, and diplomatic assertiveness on the world stage. And none of it would have been possible without the unwavering trust that 140 crore Indians have placed in Prime Minister Modi's leadership,' he wrote on X.
Malviya also reflected upon the shift in the country's diplomacy that has forced the world to acknowledge its potential.
'For the first time, India's foreign policy is unapologetically India First — clear-headed, confident, and consistent. The world is not just watching; it is acknowledging and respecting this new India,' he wrote.
Starting from 2016, Malviya listed the 23 global honours conferred on PM Modi over the past decade. From the Saudi Arabia's Order of King Abdulazis in 2016 to the UAE's Order of Zayed Award in 2019, the BJP leader also highlighted the 2020 US government's Legion of Merit awarded to PM Modi.
The list of PM Modi's Global Honours also included Bhutan's Order of the Druk Gyalpo in 2021 and Egypt's Order of the Nile, France's Grand Cross of the Legion and Greece's Grand Cross of the Order of Honour, all awarded in 2023.
Malviya's list of PM Modi's Honours received last year included Russia's Order of St. Andrew the Apostle, Kuwait's The Order of Mubarak Al Kabeer and awards given by Guyana, Barbados, Nigeria and Dominica.

After CSDS psephologist deletes X post, BJP accuses Congress of making 'baseless claims' on voter fraud

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday (August 19, 2025) accused the Congress of making 'baseless' claims about 'vote theft' and targeting the Election Commission of India in 'collusion' with a Delhi-based think tank. This came after Sanjay Kumar, a psephologist and a professor with the Centre for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), who had shared voter data from two Maharashtra Assembly seats related to last year's State election in a post on X on Sunday (August 17, 2025), subsequently deleted his post on Tuesday (August 19, 2025), apologising for posting erroneous data. The post had claimed a significant decrease in voter numbers in two Assembly seats in the State election compared to the 2024 general election, which was held nearly six months earlier. 'Fake data' Reacting sharply, BJP national spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia lashed out at Mr. Kumar for posting 'false data' which he claimed was used by the Opposition to target the EC, calling it a 'dangerous game'. 'This survey organisation [CSDS] is nothing but a puppet at the hands of leaders like Rahul Gandhi who could not win people's trust. He needs such an organisation which can provide fake data and facts so that he can make baseless allegations,' Mr. Bhatia said. 'Congress leader Pawan Khera tweets on this and then deletes. Rahul Gandhi's baseless allegations are also based on CSDS data,' he added. Deleting his post on Tuesday (August 19, 2025), Mr. Kumar wrote on X, 'I sincerely apologise for the tweets posted regarding Maharashtra elections. An error occurred while comparing the data of 2024 LS and 2024 AS. The data in the row was misread by our Data team.' The erroneous tweet has since been removed, he said, adding, 'I had no intention of dispersing any form of misinformation.'

Bad news for US as India and China ink big deal, what crucial decisions were taken during Doval's meeting with Wang?

New Delhi: The 24th round of Special Representative (SR) level talks concluded on Tuesday, 19 August 2025, to discuss a permanent solution to the border dispute between India and China. The talks were chaired by National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. No solution was found in this meeting, but it has been marked as an important step towards resolving the India-China border dispute and strengthening bilateral relations. What are the main issues that were discussed between India and China? The SR-level talks did not take place after the year 2019, but this was the second meeting in the last eight months. This shows that the will to move forward from the situation created by the intrusion of Chinese troops in the eastern Ladakh region in the year 2020 is being shown by both sides. In this meeting, measures to maintain peace and stability on the Line of Actual Control (LAC), reduce military tension, and increase mutual trust were mainly discussed. Relations improved after the PM Modi-Xi Jinping meeting Doval said that the consensus reached after the meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping in Kazan, Russia, last October has given a new direction to both countries. He stressed that there has been peace on the border for the last nine months, which has given both countries an opportunity to progress in various fields. The NSA informed in his speech that PM Modi is going to visit China soon. Similarly, Wang Yi admitted that the obstacles in the relations between the two countries in recent years were not in the interest of both. PM Modi's upcoming visit to China is important, says China Wang Yi said that now is the time for both sides to increase trust and cooperation. Issues like improving border management, preventing tension, and promoting cross-border trade were also discussed in the meeting. Wang Yi said that China considers PM Narendra Modi's upcoming visit to China very important. Modi is going to participate in the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) meeting in the Chinese city of Tianjin. Doval expressed commitment to continue constructive dialogue in the future.
