River Island's 'stunning' maxi dress has shoppers saying their 'jaw is on the floor'
This £85 maxi dress is sure to be a statement wardrobe item this summer.
Summer is the season where the calendar will be packed with fancy events. As exciting as that sounds, it also means looking for a new outfit.
No matter the occasion, River Island's Black Bandeau Bodycon Maxi Dress will attract anyone's attention, with fashion fans loving it that much they say their "jaw is on the floor."
Retailing at £85, this stylish frock will look perfect at summer weddings and graduations, while also complimenting a sun-kissed tan when on holiday in sunnier climates.
Currently a popular buy online, the design features a chic sleeveless, bandeau neckline that will prevent any tan lines if taken on holiday. The chiffon hem detail is clearly the star of the show, adding movement and drama to its glamorous aesthetic.
Finished with a back zip fastening, we think that it is best to dress up this maxi number, preferably pairing it with simple jewellery, a pair of heels and a chic diamante bag, allowing the dress to do most of the talking.

Product Description
Described as "selling fast" online, it is still available to buy on the River Island website in sizes six to 18, although sizes eight and ten have sold out, so we expect it to be popular.
River Island isn't the only retailer stocking summer occasion wear, as Next features a similar standout option with the Lipsy Black/White Applique Flower Trim Fit And Flare Maxi Dress that costs £95.
For the fashion enthusiasts who'd prefer a splash of colour, then Roman's Light Blue Floral Print Pleated Maxi Dress, £80, will be perfect for any function this summer.
It is worth noting that River Island's Black bandeau Bodcon Maxi Dress hasn't just caught our eye, as fashion influencer @samanthakenny_ recently styled it on Instagram, leaving her followers to rave over it as "simply stunning."
One follower rushed to praise: "Absolutely stunning."
A second enthusiastic Instagram user said: "Jaw is on the floor."

Fashion deal of the week
In need of new trainers, but don't want to pay Skechers prices.
Then these STQ Women's Slip-On Trainers are said to be "much better" than the famed brand. Even better, they are currently priced from just £30.99 on Amazon.
With their slip-on style design and ultra-breathable mesh material, these trainers are said to be a fuss-free option for anyone who spends long periods of time on their feet, alongside anyone who suffers from foot pain issues such as plantar fasciitis.
The flexible knitted material features an elastic cuff, making them easy to pop on and take off, while the wide fit fabric has been designed to make it feel like you are wearing nothing on your feet.
Crafted with over 1,000 ventilation holes, they ensure that feet don't get to sweaty during wear, while the memory foam insole provides good arch support, making it feel "like walking on air".
Available to buy in sizes three through to eight, shoppers can select from eight colours including black, grey and pink. However, it's worth noting that the £30.99 price-tag is available on the black colourway.
With the STQ Trainers posing the cheapest price-tag, shoppers might be happy to hear that they have earned a 4.4 rating based on over 5,000 Amazon reviews that suggest they are "light as a feather" and "really comfortable".
One delighted shopper said: "Super lightweight, comfortable and a fab colour pink. Much better all round than the Skechers I bought at four times the price! Your feet will love these."
Since the River Island website does not offer official reviews on any of its items, it is worth noting that there doesn't seem to be any negative feedback or critique for its influencer-loved dress.
However, since it is a maxi-length and seems to be available in a regular-fit design, shoppers who are classed as 'petite' may want to consider the length before purchasing, as it may be a tad longer than they expected.

Braless Miquita Oliver, 41, turns heads in a sheer knitted mini dress while posing for racy snaps
Miquita Oliver turned up the heat with her latest Instagram post on Tuesday. The TV personality, 40, decided to give her followers a treat as she posed up a storm in a sheer beige knitted mini dress. The sizzle dress left little to the imagination as she flashed her nipples and showed off her sensational figure. She covered her modesty with a black pair of underwear and finished the look with black pumps. Miquita captioned the sexy snaps: 'Making it work at mum's house.' From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new Showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. It comes after Miquita revealed she had a secret abortion at the age of 24 after being 'too scared and embarrassed' to tell her ex. The TV star, who co-hosts Miss Me? podcast with her best friend Lily Allen, confessed she got the termination just a day before going back to work. At the time Miquita was presenting the Fashion Rocks event on T4 on Channel 4, according to The Sun. In an episode on their Miss Me? podcast, she said: 'I remember I worked at Fashion Rocks, at the Royal Albert Hall, for T4, Lily was there performing. 'All these popstars would come and sing with a brand, but I'd had an abortion the day before. It was really quite serious, and I was only 24. 'And I thought "you can't do that to Fashion Rocks, who is going to host the T4 coverage?" That was some next level type of cramps walking around the Royal Albert Hall. 'It was a very weird day. I was really quite heavily pregnant with my ex and I was just so embarrassed and so scared he wouldn't want to go out with me anymore. So I kept it to myself until now.' Last year, Miquita revealed she was 'attending therapy sessions drunk' at the height of her alcoholism as she candidly discussed her struggle. The presenter previously admitted to 'losing everything' to bankruptcy and booze when she was unable to pay a £174,000 tax bill back in 2012. Speaking her Miss Me? podcast, she opened up about their experiences with therapy. One listener called in to asked if there was a particular event that made them start therapy. Miquita admitted: 'I started going to a therapist when I was deep in my alcoholism in my early thirties and it didn't work because I was going to my sessions drunk. 'That is a whole different level of performative therapy. I was trying to pretend that I hadn't been drinking.' She continued: 'That really did feel pointless and because of how awful I realised that going to therapy drunk was that led me to stop drinking for a little bit. 'But then I found a really good therapist who did help me change my life, and continue to change my life.' Addressing her bankruptcy on BBC Three programme Young, British & Broke in 2013, she said she was so ashamed about her financial troubles that she didn't tell anybody for two years. She said: 'At 17 I was earning money I didn't know how to handle and before I knew it I owed thousands to the taxman. 'I just felt like I couldn't breathe and that I was sinking. I was so scared about my future and I didn't tell anyone for 2 years. 'When I was declared bankrupt it felt like I was in a financial mess I would never get out of.' Lily and Miquita grew up in the limelight, and spent their younger years partying incessantly, something which they have openly discussed on their podcast. They have been there for each other through many tough times but one area where they haven't been so loyal is men. On their podcast Miquita spoke of a particularly sticky time, which came before Lily's music fame, when the presenter had a crush. Taking listeners back to the early noughties when she was hosting Popworld, Channel 4's Sunday morning music show, Miquita said: 'There was a pop star. 'I found out that he fancied me. I told Lily that I liked him. Cue, Lily gets herself to a festival in Japan and seduces him.' Lily hadn't broken through as an artist yet so instead got a job in artist relations to get backstage for the gig. The conversation on their podcast got tense as Lily questioned whether Miquita had ever made her feelings clear for the man. Lily admitted she flew to Japan to 'lock that one in', adding: 'I fancied him, so I was getting mine. By the way, I think pop stars are fair game, like, I don't care.' The pair laughed as they recalled the incident, however Miquita revealed that she didn't speak to Lily for six months after it happened.
