Aamir Khan 's 'Sitaare Zameen Par' released in cinemas on June 20. Now that it completes a week at the box office, it has crossed Rs 90 crore which is great for a film like this. Usually, blockbusters and those big, massy movies are expected to cross the Rs 100 crore mark on day 4 or day 5 itself. But 'Sitaare Zameen Par' clearly wasn't like Aamir's other movies - like 'Dhoom 3', or 'Ghajini' or 'Dangal'. This one was a word of mouth movie, expected to grow slowly. The film has done really well by holding up all through the week after the first Saturday and Sunday. It made Rs 10.7 crore on opening day. It saw growth on Saturday and Sunday, making Rs 20.2 crore and 27.25 crore respectively. It made Rs 8.5 crore on Monday and the same number on Tuesday as well.
