Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia: How to watch, TV channel, live stream

Mexico will face Saudi Arabia in a Gold Cup quarterfinal on Saturday night in Glendale, Ariz. Javier Aguirre's side finished first in Group A, defeating Dominican Republic 3-2 and Suriname 2-0 before drawing 0-0 against Costa Rica to close out group play. Mexico has been especially effective from dead-ball situations, with four of its five goals coming from set pieces. Center back César Montes has been the team's unlikely leading scorer with three goals. The defending champions will have to do without Luis Chávez for the rest of the tournament, with the midfielder suffering a torn ACL in training this week. Watch Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia on Prime Video Saudi Arabia, meanwhile, was the one guest team of the 16 in this tournament, and advanced from Group D by finishing second with a 1-1-1 record. Hervé Renard's side has kept things tight in its three matches so far, with just two goals scored and two conceded. This game will be a rematch of a meeting at the 2022 World Cup, when Mexico won 2-1 in the final game of the group stage. Both teams ended up being eliminated, despite Saudi Arabia starting the tournament with a win over eventual champion Argentina. The winner of this match will face the winner between Panama and Honduras in the semifinal at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif on Wednesday. Here is everything you need to know ahead of the game. How to watch Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia Mexico vs. Saudi Arabia prediction Mexico is the tournament favorite and defending champion, but Saudi Arabia has shown the ability to frustrate opponents in this Gold Cup. We say Mexico barely pulls it out with a 1-0 win. We recommend interesting sports viewing/streaming and betting opportunities. Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Odds, Picks: Paul Heavily Favored

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. Jake Paul steps back into the ring on Saturday night for another showdown with a former boxing champ. This time, the 28-year-old Paul is taking on 39-year-old former middleweight champ Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a 10-round, cruiserweight (max. 200 pounds) bout. The son of boxing legend Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is much younger than Paul's last opponent -- 58-year-old Mike Tyson -- but he has fought just three times since 2021. Will Paul be able to improve his record to 12-1 (his only loss came against Tommy Fury in 2023), or will Chavez Jr. become the second fighter to take down the influencer-turned-boxer? How To Watch Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Before we dive into how to bet on this fight, here's everything you need to know about how to watch Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.: Date: Saturday, June 28 Time: Main card starts at 8 p.m. ET TV: DAZN (PPV)* *In the U.S., the PPV cost for this fight is $59.99. Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Odds Below are the odds for Saturday night's fight, with Paul heavily favored. DK FD bet365 Jake Paul -575 -550 -650 Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. +400 +420 +425 Chavez Jr. has legit pedigree as a former champ, but he has struggled to make weight for his scheduled fights over the last four years, which has limited him to three bouts since 2021. It's worth noting that at DraftKings, this fight is listed at -225 to go over 8.5 rounds and +160 to go under. This tells us that a full 10-round battle decided via decision is far more likely than an early knockout. Jake Paul vs. Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. Analysis Paul's status as the heavy favorite over a former champ like Chavez Jr. might be a head-scratcher at first glance, but it makes sense given what we've seen from Chavez Jr. the last few years. In 2021, he lost to then-46-year-old former UFC fighter Anderson Silva. And in his last bout (July 20, 2024), he got the win by unanimous decision, but he was taken the distance by former UFCer Uriah Hall, who was making his boxing debut. Paul should have a size/physique advantage over Chavez, as he is accustomed to fighting at around 200 pounds, which is the limit for tonight's bout. Chavez, on the other hand, has typically fought at middleweight (max. 175 pounds), where he held the title back in 2012. Paul vs. Chavez Prediction, Best Bet As crazy as it may sound to say about an influencer-turned-pro-boxer taking on a former world champ, Paul is the clear safe bet against a 39-year-old who has had a volatile last few years (Chavez has recently battled well-documented weight problems and addiction issues). Oddsmakers agree, with Chavez listed as a heavy underdog across the board. It's not exactly a massive compliment to say that Paul has proven that against fighters a decade removed from their peak, he's going to have the upper hand. Until he lines up a bout with an active fighter close to his age and weight, I do recommend betting on Paul, though. In this one, there's little value in taking him on the moneyline, but Jake Paul by Decision or Technical Decision is awfully tempting at -110. Vancouver Whitecaps look to snap two-game skid against Los Angeles FC

VANCOUVER - The Vancouver Whitecaps are in unfamiliar territory — looking to snap a losing skid. A 5-3 defeat to expansion side San Diego FC on Wednesday marked Vancouver's second loss in a row. It's the first time this season the team has dropped back-to-back games. The result saw the Whitecaps (10-3-5) slip to the No. 2 spot in Major League Soccer's Western Conference. They'll strive to reclaim first place Sunday when they visit Los Angeles FC (7-4-5). Even after a pair of losses, there's no panic among the 'Caps, said head coach Jesper Sorensen. 'It's about believing in what we should be good at and what we should be doing well,' he said. 'We're in a very good position. We've earned our position. So we earned the right to step aside a couple of times. But we, of course, have to get back into winning things as well. But it's a difficult position.' There are lessons to be taken from Wednesday's loss, he added, including that the team needs to play with courage and without hesitation. 'Of course we got punished pretty hard,' the coach said. 'That's what it is. But also that we shouldn't wait to start taking initiative — we should take it right away.' LAFC is a team Vancouver knows well — Sunday's matchup will mark the 14th time the two sides have clashed since April 2023. The last bout came May 11 at B.C. Place, where the 'Caps fell behind early before rallying to earn a 2-2 draw. The Whitecaps need to play with more intensity to collect all three points this time out, said defender Mathias Laborda. 'We have to step forward and do a good game,' he said. With elite players — including striker Denis Bouanga — on the roster, L.A. presents a number of offensive threats, Laborda added. 'They're a really good team. They have really good players with quality. So we expect a really good game,' he said. L.A. is coming off a tough run at the FIFA Club World Cup where they finished at the bottom of their group with two losses and a draw, but is unbeaten in the club's last nine MLS games (4-5-0). The club is one of the better teams Vancouver has faced this season, Sorensen said, and Sunday's contest will be a difficult one. 'We know that they have some players we have to give special attention to. We know they have some things in their play that they're very good at and we have to take care of,' the coach said. 'But we also know we're a pretty good team ourselves and we have to also believe and trust in what we are doing. And then believe that that's how we're going to win the game.' VANCOUVER WHITECAPS (10-3-5) AT LAFC (7-4-5) Sunday, BMO Stadium GOODBYE GIROUD: Olivier Giroud is set to play his final game for LAFC on Sunday. The club announced Friday that is has 'mutually parted ways' with the famed French striker. Giroud signed with L.A. in May 2024, but has struggled in MLS, putting up five goals in 37 games across all competitions. HOME FIELD ADVANTAGE?: LAFC has been solid at BMO Stadium this year, posting a 6-1-1 record in MLS play. The Whitecaps have been one of the league's best road teams, though, and are 4-1-3 away from B.C. Place. LOCKED DOWN: Despite giving up five goals on Wednesday, Vancouver has conceded the fewest goals in the Western Conference (19) and is tied with San Diego for the best goal differential (+15) in the West.
