Meet José Mourinho's glam jewellery designer daughter Matilde: the 28-year-old's pieces are worn by Priyanka Chopra and Kylie Minogue, she parties with Niall Horan, and recently married in Portugal
But legendary Ivorian striker Didier Drogba – who played under Mourinho at Chelsea – quickly jumped to his defence on social media: 'I've seen the recent comments about José Mourinho. Trust me when I tell you I have known José for 25 years and he is not a racist, and history (past and recent) is there to prove it.'
'How can my 'Dad' be a racist?' he added. 'Come on guys.'

Mourinho is known for the affinity he shares with players, and Drogba told The Guardian in 2013 that many of the team called him 'daddy'. 'I don't know about all of us, but he did a lot of things for me during [a] moment where I had a lot of critics,' he told the newspaper.
But who are José's actual children? The 62-year-old has a son, José Mário Jr, and a daughter, Matilde, who recently married her fiancé Danny Graham – and who is making a name for herself in a very different industry ...
Here's what you need to know about her.
What is Matilde Mourinho's background?

Matilde is the daughter of José Mourinho and his long-time wife, Matilde Faria. 'My name is Matilde, my mother's name is Matilde, and my grandmother's name is Matilde. It's a name that will continue to be passed down to generations to come,' she told Forbes last year.

‘My idol': Hong Kong fans queue for opening of Cristiano Ronaldo exhibition
Hong Kong football fans queued for hours on Monday to snap pictures of Cristiano Ronaldo's trophies and jerseys at an exhibition billed as the first of its kind outside the superstar's native Portugal. Visitors at the opening of the 'CR7 LIFE Museum Hong Kong' at a luxury shopping mall posed next to life-sized statues of the former Manchester United and Real Madrid player, including one in mid-air celebration and another in traditional Saudi dress. 'Cristiano Ronaldo is my idol… he's special,' said 14-year-old Alvin Lai, who was first in a queue of more than 100 people. 'He's the most hardworking person out there,' said university student Henry Singh. 'He's 40 years old and still going very strong.' Ronaldo signed a new two-year contract with Saudi Arabian club Al Nassr last month, calling it a 'new chapter' in an Instagram post. Al Nassr are due to play in a pre-season tournament in Hong Kong next month. The five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo will be greeting fans at the museum 'very soon', said Tomas Froes, a representative of the footballer's family office. The 12,000 square feet (1,110 square metres) exhibition sends a 'strong message for everyone to achieve their dreams', Froes told AFP. Organisers have said the Hong Kong exhibition will run for a year before heading to mainland China.

Spain thrash Portugal in Women's Euro opener
Spain thrash Portugal in Women's Euro opener Cristina Martin-Prieto (left) rounded out the win for Spain late in the match. Photo: Reuters Spain showed why they are favourites to win Women's Euro 2025 by hammering Portugal 5-0 in their tournament opener, as both teams paid tribute to Portuguese men's international Diogo Jota who was killed in a car crash. The world champions were two ahead inside seven minutes in Bern thanks to goals from Esther Gonzalez and Vicky Lopez and never looked back from there, rattling in three more thanks to Alexia Putellas, another for Gonzalez and a late header from Cristina Martin-Prieto. La Roja lead Italy, 1-0 winners against Belgium, on goal difference in Group B after showing no mercy to Portugal who were grieving compatriot Jota after his death alongside his brother Andre Silva in a car crash in northern Spain. Portuguese fans marched to the ground ahead of the match with banners and chants honouring Jota and the tributes continued once supporters were in the Wankdorf Stadium. The capacity crowd stood for a moment's silence while a group of Portugal fans held up cards which read "Rest in Peace", while a banner said "thanks for everything". A difficult day for Portuguese football was made worse less than 90 seconds after kick-off when Gonzalez brilliantly brought down Olga Carmona's high ball before poking past goalkeeper Ines Pereira. And 18-year-old Lopez became Spain's youngest-ever scorer at a women's Euros in the seventh minute, when the Barcelona winger slid home Mariona Caldentey's low cross. (AFP)
