It was two-time All-Star Allisha Gray who led the charge for Atlanta during Griner's recent brief spell on the sidelines. In fact, Gray's strong play over the past week led to some big news for the 6-foot guard.
The WNBA announced on Tuesday that, for the first time in her career, Gray has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week behind averages of 26.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 4.0 assists in two games played last week.
Griner caught wind of the news and the nine-time All-Star decided to flex her teammate's milestone. Griner took to Instagram to share the Dream's post announcing Gray's Player of the Week win.
Griner had no caption for her post, instead opting to add a selection of emojis to emphasize her flex.

Thanks to Gray's strong run, Atlanta was able to make it four straight wins. The Dream are now 5-2 in the season and are sitting at the No. 3 spot in the WNBA.

Their success has been thanks in large part to Gray, who is in the midst of her best season of her career. In seven games played thus far, the former Rookie of the Year has put up career-best numbers in points (21.4), field goal shooting (49.5%), assists (4.6) and three-pointers made (2.9 triples on 43.5% shooting).
They will be back in action on Friday against the 1-6 Connecticut Sun as the Dream look to make it five wins in a row.

Myles Garrett talks contract, Shedeur Sanders, QBs and more
BEREA — Myles Garrett was exactly where everyone thought he would be for the first day of the Browns' mandatory minicamp. The All-Pro defensive end was on the field with the rest of his teammates. Garrett had not been present for the two OTA practices that were open on May 28 and June 4. Those OTAs, however, were voluntary affairs, and he had been present at other points during the offseason program. Advertisement The first day of minicamp, though, was the first time Garrett had spoken since mid-March. That was when he signed his new four-year, $160 million contract extension, which came at the end of a month-long standoff over a trade demand. Here's a quick look at some of the things Garrett said after the first minicamp practice: Myles Garrett on Browns owner Jimmy Haslam's expectation for more leadership "I don't feel any ways by him saying it," Garrett said. "That's his expectation. It's been his expectation from the beginning. And I think losing a leader like Nick as well, it definitely puts more of an expectation on to gain more leadership in other areas. And he pointed at me and put the red dot on me, and that's fine. I'll continue to grow as a leader and as a player, which I expect to every year and do what I can. He gave me that power and I got to be responsible for it." Myles Garrett on Jim Schwartz's 'with great power comes great responsibility' comment 'With great power comes great responsibility? So that would make him my Uncle Ben, right?," Garrett said. "I mean I look forward to having my best season for sure and I think it's trending that way. It's been really good and I think everything's pulling in that direction and I like where we are as a defensive unit. It's really firing, really rolling and I think it's really clicking as far as the scheme and the plays, especially early on. That's big.' Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz watches during practice at minicamp, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Berea. Myles Garrett on what he thinks about Cleveland Browns' roster "How do I assess it? Well, that's what mini camp training camp is for," Garrett said. "We assess it every single day, seeing our guys attack the practice field, how they come in and prepare from day to day. And if they don't get it, you make 'em get it. Like I said, being that leader, setting that standard and showing guys how it's done instead of expecting 'em to know it. Guys come from different places, come from college and you got to push 'em in the right direction. You got to guide 'em." Myles Garrett on if Cleveland Browns are a better team now than in 2024 "I know they'll be better," Garrett said. "I know we will be better." Myles Garrett on young QBs Shedeur Sanders, Dillon Gabriel "I only really saw Dillon today as far as getting reps in his team and it was composed," Garrett said. "He's running offense pretty well. His eyes got pretty big when I got free and I was face up on 'em. But all of them look pretty calm, just going through their checks, going through their calls, making the plays they need to make, not doing too much right now and they'll have time to continue to display their talents and it's just one day at a time. Continue to earn the trust of your coaches and your teammates and I think they'll be able to open up the game." Browns defensive end Myles Garrett closes in on quarterback Dillon Gabriel during practice at minicamp, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Berea. Myles Garrett on Nick Chubb signing with Houston Texans "I love Nick," Garrett said. "I think a lot of the guys who are in this locker room still feel the same way as I do. It crushed us to see him get injured, had to battle through and then it happened again. So we want the very best for him, happy to see him, still able to play, still able to do his thing, wanted to see him go back to being the player that he was and have a smile on his face, continue to fall out." Myles Garrett on pushing for Browns to re-sign Nick Chubb "Yeah, that was part of my talks with AB (general manager Andrew Berry) a couple months ago, asking about the situation with Nick and how that's going to work out and how we can get him back here," Garrett said. "I know it means a lot to the fans, but he means a lot to us as well in the locker room. So it's an emotional blow to not having him here, but we got to keep on moving, keep on trucking. We got some very talented backs in that room. Some young hungry guys who have a hella an example to watch and some shoes to fill. But no, he's one of the best to ever do in the brown and orange and we appreciate everything he's done." Browns defensive end Myles Garrett has a moment with defensive line coach Jacques Cesaire during practice at minicamp, Tuesday, June 10, 2025, in Berea. Myles Garrett on working to the side with Dawand Jones "Yeah, I mean he's just trying to get bit of my cues," Garrett said. "My mindset as far as going against him, that type position on that side and what made me do what, what triggered this response and this reaction and just trying to walk through it with him and help him get rid of some tendencies that he has on that side and just try to sharpen him up." Myles Garrett on facing new Pittsburgh Steelers QB Aaron Rodgers "I think it's a good opportunity to put 'em in the graveyard," Garrett said, referring to his annual Halloween yard display with every quarterback he's sacked. 2026 4-star QB and Texas A&M commit invited to Rivals Five-star event
2026 4-star QB and Texas A&M commit invited to Rivals Five-star event Texas A&M's quarterback future, like that of most major programs, is cyclical due to the transfer portal. However, under coach Mike Elko, the Aggies will return 70% of the 2024 offense this coming season, led by starting quarterback Marcel Reed. Still, Reed is entering a "make or break" season that will affect his future as the starter. In Texas A&M's 2026 signing class, Elko and OC Collin Klein landed one of the top arms in the cycle out of Utah, as four-star QB Helaman Casuga likely represents the Aggies' starting quarterback for the future, especially after 2025 five-star wide receiver signee Jerome Myles was his No. 1 receiving target at Corner Canyon High School in Draper, Utah. Casuga's elite accuracy and tough overtakes any concerns about his 6'1" frame, which is usually the cut off for most successful quarterbacks at the next level. While I could sing his praises throughout this article, Casuga has reportedly been invited to the prestigious Rivals Five-Star event in Indianapolis, Indiana, which features 100 of the top-ranked prospects in the 2026 recruiting class, set to take place on June 23-24. Casuga has been on the rise ever since his productive freshman and sophomore seasons, during which he showcased his arm talent, passing for 6,475 yards and 60 touchdowns, before missing the latter half of his 2024 junior season. Casuga's play-making ability is a perfect fit in current Texas A&M OC Collin Klein's scheme, and if Marcel Reed improves in the pocket this coming season, expect a balanced attack that could lead the SEC in scoring and provide momentum for the future. According to Rivals, Casuga is currently positioned as the 104th-ranked prospect in the 2026 cycle, the 11th-ranked quarterback, and the No. 1-ranked prospect in Utah.
