Two arrested in armed robberies targeting clubgoers in Miami and Miami Beach, police say
Investigators said 30-year-old Dwight Gustave and 41-year-old Adria Banks watched victims outside clubs such as Space in Miami before carrying out the robberies.
Police said Banks acted as the getaway driver while Gustave, often wearing a mask or hoodie, confronted the victims with a firearm.
According to police, a search of Gustave's home turned up a Rolex watch worth about $20,000, an Audemars Piguet watch valued at roughly $140,000, and more than $16,000 in cash. In total, police said they recovered more than $176,000 in stolen goods.
Miami Beach police said Gustave was arrested in 2020 and served five years in prison for robbery-related crimes. They also said Banks is currently on probation for stealing more than $500,000 worth of high-end jewelry.
According to police, Gustave is being held at Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center and faces multiple counts of armed robbery, with bond still to be set.
Banks was arrested in Broward County and faces several charges, including burglary, grand theft, and violating probation.
Police said they believe there may be additional victims and are asking anyone who was targeted to come forward.

Husband of missing Jacksonville mom of 5 in Duval County jail
The husband of a missing Jacksonville woman is in the Duval County jail Wednesday morning. Joshua Bailey, 40, was booked into the jail at about 10:22 p.m. Tuesday on charges of violation of injunction for protection against domestic violence and violation of probation/community control, according to jail records. Bailey is the husband of 34-year-old Kayla Bailey, a Jacksonville mother of five and a photographer who was last seen Monday at her home on Maxville Boulevard. Jacksonville Sheriff's Office told Action News Jax on Wednesday morning that Joshua Bailey's arrest is unrelated to his wife being reported missing. 'Missing Woman: Have you seen Kayla Bailey,' the JSO post states. Couple had recent domestic issues A recent Jacksonville Sheriff's Office incident report states that Kayla Bailey and her husband were having issues. Their daughter told officers that Bailey left the home and took her children to her mother's place for several weeks but returned home last week. When the family reported her missing this week, the officer noted in the report that he believes she left on her own free will. Bailey's family said they believe Kayla Bailey is in danger. 'She has never run off alone and for this long,' Jola Bailey, Kayla's daughter, told Action News Jax. 'She is really weak, and she is not really doing that well.' Joshua Bailey is scheduled to make his first appearance in Duval County Circuit Court at 1 p.m. Wednesday. 'The search for Kayla is ever evolving and we continue to learn more as investigators delve into the circumstances surrounding her disappearance,' a JSO news release stated Wednesday morning. Retired Miami officer pleads guilty to selling stolen Heat jerseys, memorabilia
Retired veteran Miami police officer Marcos Thomas Perez pleaded guilty to selling hundreds of stolen, game-worn Miami Heat jerseys and memorabilia, raking in tens of thousands of dollars. On Tuesday, Perez, 62, appeared in Miami federal court to accept a plea agreement, reneging his former plea of not guilty to his charge of transportation of stolen goods. NBC 6 reported his defense attorney, Robert Buschel, said, 'He's depressed, naturally, but he accepts responsibility for his behavior and we're gonna work through this issue in his life.' Perez, a former Miami Heat security guard, faces a maximum of 10 years in prison, three years probation and a fine of up to $250,000. His sentencing is penciled in for Oct. 31, where prosecutors will recommend a lower sentence as part of the plea. 'This was an unfortunate set of decisions that he made and he's going to accept responsibility for that,' Buschel said. From 2016 to 2021, as a Heat security employee, and from 2022 to 2025, as an NBA security employee, Perez conducted the theft of over 400 game-worn jerseys and other memorabilia. He was among a number of trusted few who were allowed to access a secure equipment room, the U.S. Attorney's Office in Miami said. Over a three-year period, he sold over 100 stolen items that were valued for about $2 million and shipped outside Florida. Authorities seized about 300 game-worn jerseys and memorabilia when he was arrested in April by the FBI. According to a source, some of the stolen items included game-worn gear from high-profile players such as LeBron James, Shaquille O'Neal and Dwyane Wade, among others, and are believed to be worth millions of dollars.
