Police: 4 dead in a San Antonio crash involving a bus and a stolen vehicle
SAN ANTONIO — A speeding stolen car smashed into a bus on an interstate in San Antonio on Thursday, causing a multi-vehicle crash that left four people dead and more than a dozen injured, police said.
Two people traveling on the bus were pronounced dead at the scene on Interstate 35 and two died at a hospital, police said. Another 16 people received treatment for their injuries.
Several people fled the stolen Camaro without stopping to help, including at least one who was armed, police said.
Police Chief William McManus said children and older people were among the injured.
The Camaro struck a trailer attached to the bus, causing the bus driver to lose control of the vehicle, which then bounced into a guardrail. A tractor-trailer then smashed into the bus, which rolled onto its side. Several people were ejected from the bus, police said.
Police said the people who fled the Camaro have not been located or identified.

‘Remain vigilant' of apartment thefts in summer months, say EPS
Police are trying to identify the two thieves seen here on security footage on July 7, 2025. (Edmonton Police Service) A string of thefts in an apartment complex involving glue on door frames have Edmonton Police Service (EPS) warning residents to be aware of break-ins while away for the summer season. On July 7, apartment security at a complex near 106 Street and 97 Avenue reported that several units had been broken into and various items stolen. The two thieves were seen in surveillance footage. EPS said in a release that they used glue to mark the door frames of units they were targeting to gauge which ones were left unoccupied for longer amounts of time. Police have not yet identified the thieves, who were last seen in the area from midnight to 1 a.m. on July 1. In the meantime, police ask residents to 'remain vigilant' when leaving their property for extended periods of time. This can mean having a trusted friend, family member or neighbour check on your place while you're away and securing valuables. More tips on how to prevent break-ins can be found on the EPS website here. Anyone who has information about the current suspects can contact EPS at 780-423-4567 or submit anonymously to Crime Stoppers online or at 1-800-222-8477.
