A jeweller to stars including Bec Judd and Brit Selwood is in hot water after being hit with a warning from Victoria's consumer watchdog.
Shannakian Fine Jewellery sells bracelets, necklaces, rings and earrings including a $13,400 'Diamond Eternity Ring' through its website, Instagram account and Melbourne showroom.
Consumer Affairs Victoria (CAV) has revealed that the jeweller was subject to 67 complaints from hopeful buyers alleging the business has accepted payment but not delivered and failed to provide refunds.
The watchdog warned consumers to be careful and be wary before purchasing Shannakian Fine Jewellery products.
The Shannakian brand is popular among Australian stars and influencers, having been worn by Bec Judd, Sonia Kruger, Roxy Jacenko and more in posts on the jeweller's social media.
The Melbourne-based business has reached as far as Los Angeles, with Khloe Kardashian and Kris Jenner both being seen wearing Shannakian necklaces in a 2019 episode of Keeping up with the Kardashians.
Once customer who complained to CAV said they had paid the jeweller $27,000 for a necklace which they never received.
The buyer followed up many times before asking for a refund, which CAV said was never honoured.
Complaints against the retailer have been flowing since 15 February 2021, with customers saying they had requested refunds that were not provided, including for faulty products.
Most of the complaints were for sales on the jeweller's Instagram page, which has 25,000 followers.
A Facebook post from CAV was flooded with comments from more customers, alleging they were also still waiting for jewellery they had ordered.
'So glad to see this!! I had huge issues with them several years ago,' one commenter wrote.
'About time it has been made more public!!'
The jeweller was first opened in 2007 by Hovig Shannakian. The company's website detailed his 'unrelenting quest for perfection' that has seen the jewellery become a 'go to for discerning jewellery lovers and celebrities'.
Brit Selwood was pictured earlier this year at the Australian Grand Prix with Shannakian jewellery.
Other celebrities and influencers who have worn the products from the label include former Miss Universe Australia Maria Thattil and The Bachelor star Snezana Wood.
In a post on the jeweller's Instagram page Candice Warner is pictured with husband David Warner with a description that described her as wearing 'her favourite paperclip necklace'.
Any people who have had a bad experience with Shannakian Fine Jewellery have been encouraged to contact CAV.

Ex-first daughter Ashley Biden files for divorce from husband, Dr. Howard Krein - alongside snarky Instagram message

Former President Joe Biden's daughter, Ashley Biden, has filed for divorce from her plastic surgeon husband, Dr. Howard Krein, after more than 13 years of marriage, court records show. The 44-year-old ex-first daughter filed the papers in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas on Monday, The Post confirmed. Biden's Instagram Story on the same day featured a photo of her walking through a park and flashing a thumbs-up, and was set to the song 'Freedom' by Beyoncé, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, which first reported the divorce filings. She also posted a quote that read: 'New life, new beginnings means new boundaries. New ways of being that won't look or sound like they did before.' Details on what caused the split weren't immediately clear. Divorce records aren't made public in Philadelphia. Biden and Krein had tied the knot in Greenville, Delaware, back in June 2012 — two years after being set up by her late older brother, Beau Biden. He popped the question on a cliff in Big Sur, California, in late 2011 after getting 'Pop's' permission, People reported at the time. 'This is the right guy,' said Biden, who was vice president at the time. 'And he's getting a helluva woman.' The couple went on to wed at the St. Joseph on the Brandywine Roman Catholic Church, which is where Ashley was baptized, in front of some 200 guests. Ashley briefly mentioned her nuptials on the public stage when she was introducing her dad at the Democratic National Convention last year. 'At the time, my dad was vice president, but he was also that dad who literally set up the entire reception,' she told the crowd. 'He was riding around in his John Deere 4-wheeler, fixing the place settings, arranging the plants, and by the way, he was very emotional.' Krein, 59, is an otolaryngologist and plastic surgeon at Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals in Philadelphia. Prior to their split, the couple had been living in Philly. They don't have children. The Post has reached out to Ashley Biden's lawyer but didn't hear back immediately. Anna Wintour closing in on Vogue successor

Don't miss out on the headlines from Celeb Style. Followed categories will be added to My News. Chloe Malle is the frontrunner to take over at Vogue from the fashion bible's legendary editor Anna Wintour. Malle — the daughter of actress Candice Bergen and French film director Louis Malle — is currently editor of and is in the 'final rounds' of interviews to be the new head of editorial content for US Vogue. Anna Wintour is stepping down after 37 years as Vogue's editor. Picture: AFP The 39-year-old is a favourite of staff at Vogue and recently interviewed Lauren Sanchez for her Vogue cover ahead of her lavish Venetian wedding to Amazon billionaire Jeff Bezos. The New York Post reported that Condé Nast bosses, including CEO Roger Lynch and Anna Wintour, who is stepping down as Vogue's editor-in-chief, have whittled the shortlist down to the final few candidates. Vogue declined to comment. Nicole Phelps, global director of Vogue Runway – the online platform of Vogue dedicated to fashion shows – is also in the running. Chloe Malle, pictured with her famous mum Candice Bergen, is a hot favourite to succeed Anna Wintour at Vogue. Picture: Supplied The new editor should be announced by the beginning of New York Fashion week, which starts September 11 and runs through September 16. There are believed to be four to five favourites left, including some external candidates. However, Instagram's Eva Chen, a friend of Wintour's, is no longer believed to be in the running as her role is so big at Meta. Chen, who is Head of Fashion Partnerships at Instagram, previously worked on Condé Nast's Teen Vogue and Lucky. 'Eva is making a ton of money at Instagram,' said an industry insider. 'There is no reason for her to move over.' W Magazine owner Sara Moonves has also been linked to the role, but another source pointed out that she's too entwined with her publication to make the move. Similarly, Chioma Nnadi, who replaced Edward Enninful as Head of Editorial Content at British Vogue in October 2023, is happy in London and doing a great job. Wintour, 75, broke the news that she was stepping down as editor-in-chief of American Vogue in June after helming the fashion bible for 37 years. Picture: Getty Images 'When I became the editor of Vogue, I was eager to prove to all who might listen that there was a new, exciting way to imagine an American fashion magazine,' she told staff. 'Now, I find that my greatest pleasure is helping the next generation of impassioned editors storm the field with their own ideas, supported by a new, exciting view of what a major media company can be.' As previously reported, the new boss won't get Wintour's editor-in-chief title, and will be a head of editorial content instead. They will also report to Wintour, who is staying on as Vogue's global editorial director and chief content officer for Condé Nast. '[I'll be] paying very close attention to the fashion industry and to the creative cultural force that is our extraordinary Met Ball, and charting the course of future Vogue Worlds, and any other original fearless ideas we may come up with,' Wintour has said. ‘Strong hook up culture:' American tourist's Tiktok on Australian dating scene divides social media

A American man has divided Australians with his summation of Australia's dating scene, saying there is a "strong hook up culture" and people aren't interested in relationships. Drew Mork, who has been travelling around Australia since the start of the year, shared the things Australian women have told him about dating Aussie men - and why they're over it. "I haven't met a single Aussie girl that has said anything positive about Australian men," he said. 'They say that Aussie guys are 'feminine', 'passive' and 'don't want to pay for things' … I can't speak to that. I'm just repeating what they've said." "One time, a girl just came up to me here and we started chatting. In the first 20 seconds of our conversation, she's like, 'Are you keen for some company tonight at your place?'." "It's just not for me. I enjoy authentic connection. "And I'm not putting them down. I think Australian women are stunning. But it's just not how I operate at all." Comments on his videos have been filled with many Australian men sharing they're unimpressed with the dating game too. 'As an Aussie man… Aussie girls aren't wife material' one said. 'Aussie women seem to be the hardest to settle in the world, absolute nightmare," said another. But Australian women weren't happy either. 'Australian men are worse,' one wrote Another pointed to the domestic violence situation in Australia, with the comment simply reading 'we have a DV epidemic, its dangerous out here.' However, speaking to the Daily Mail, Drew said he was truly shocked by the comments that he had seen on his TikTok video. ''I'll choose my words carefully here, but they were just basically saying that Aussie girls are loud-mouthed, masculine, like to cuss a lot, drink a lot, and that they get around,' he said. 'It was just a lot of, like, hateful comments. I wasn't expecting that from the Aussie guys.' He also said that he was not putting down Australian women. Drew said however that he was hopeful about finding love in Australia. 'I would love an Aussie wife," Drew said. "I think Australian women are stunning. "But I've just found so far that settling down doesn't seem to be a priority for some of them."
