Nine proposals, including Gold Cluster in Mangalagiri, get CRDA nod

: Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has directed officials to ensure that Amaravati's development projects reflect iconic designs and international standards. Chairing the 51st CRDA meeting on Monday, the Chief Minister emphasised that the proposed bridge across the Krishna river should feature world-class architecture, including design inspirations from the traditional Kuchipudi dance form. He also instructed that world-class infrastructure and a dedicated ecosystem be created around the cluster. The CRDA approved nine major proposals, including the establishment of a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) to execute key projects such as the greenfield airport, NTR statue, sports city, smart industries, riverfront development, inner ring road, and ropeway. A major highlight was the approval for the Gold Cluster at Atmakur, Mangalagiri, spread over 78 acres, to be developed under the Land Pooling Scheme (LPS). The cluster, including a Gems and Jewellery Park, is expected to attract investments worth ₹5,000 crore and create 20,000 jobs. Infra works The authority also sanctioned ₹904 crore for critical infrastructure works, including drainage, drinking water supply, and civic amenities, across 29 capital region villages. It further cleared a proposal to remove the term 'Assigned' from ownership certificates issued under the land pooling scheme. For urban infrastructure, CRDA approved ₹411 crore for a Sewage Treatment Plant and ₹376.6 crore for a Water Distribution Centre. Additional land allocations were cleared for VIT University (100 acres) and SRM University (100 acres). Mr. Naidu instructed officials to expedite all works in mission mode, keep project details updated online for transparency, and ensure that Amaravati attains a visible shape within this season. He highlighted Amaravati's unique geographic advantages and stressed that all projects must be economically viable and iconic in nature. Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana, Chief Secretary K. Vijayanand, and senior officials from the CRDA and related departments were present.

Naidu calls upon TDP leaders to thwart YSRCP's ‘vicious campaign'

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu called upon TDP leaders to dispel the ''wrong notion created among the public by the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) that Amaravati was flooded, the Prakasam Barrage was in danger due to heavy discharges caused by the recent downpour, and that the Kondaveeti Vagu lift irrigation scheme pumps were not working''. This false propaganda revealed that the YSRCP intended to derive political mileage by misleading the people. The YSRCP's conspiracy should be thwarted, he told the party leaders, including Ministers, MPs, MLAs, MLCs, Parliamentary leaders and zonal coordinators, in a teleconference on Monday. Mr. Naidu said while the coalition government managed to keep all of its electoral promises, mainly the Super Six schemes, in spite of constraints in the last one year, the YSRCP was trying all the tricks to show it in poor light. The elected representatives and the TDP cadres reached out to 1.24 crore families and explained what had been accomplished but the YSRCP kept up its mischievous campaign for obvious reasons notwithstanding the fact that the people were acknowledging the good work being done by the government. Mr. Naidu went on to say that the government filled nominated posts with the cadres who sweated it out for the success of the TDP, in order to reward them. On the other hand, the YSRCP was spreading false propaganda through its media houses thereby 'poisoning' the minds of the people. ''What the YSRCP is doing should not be ignored, lest the people should be influenced by its vicious campaign,'' he said, exhorting the party functionaries to be disciplined and alert to the YSRCP's machinations. They should refrain from involving themselves in controversies, he said. TDP committees The Chief Minister said the government would sternly deal with anti-social elements masquerading as politicians, and ordered that the formation of the TDP committees must be completed by the end of August. The TDP cadres have done a great job by securing an impressive victory in the ZPTC elections in Pulivendula and Vontimitta, he added.

TTD EO reviews preparedness for annual Brahmotsavams beginning from September 24

The top echelons of the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Monday reviewed the comprehensive arrangements being made for the grand conduct of the annual Brahmotsavams of Lord Venkateswara, scheduled from September 24 to October 2. TTD Executive Officer J. Shyamala Rao, along with Additional EO Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary, assessed the preparedness of each department during a meeting attended by District Collector Venkateswar, SP Harshavardhan Raju, TTD JEO Veerabrahmam, CV & SO Muralikrishna and senior APSRTC officials. The meeting discussed in detail the special security and crowd management measures for Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu's vastram presentation ceremony on September 24, as well as key events such as the Garuda Seva on September 28 and the Chakra Snanam on October 2. Stressing the need for robust security in and around the main temple complex, galleries and high-traffic pilgrim zones, the meeting underscored the importance of coordinated efforts between the TTD and the police. The officials also reviewed plans for 'May I Help You' counters, quick transportation facilities, and adequate parking lots. Earlier in the day, Mr. Shyamala Rao inspected developmental works on the second ghat road leading to the hill shrine.
