With the recent hot weather and unbroken sunshine, it will soon be time to see the joyful sunflowers blooming across Suffolk. It will be a few weeks until they really begin to bloom, as they normally fully open up around the start of August. Here are three places across Suffolk to explore and pick your own sunflowers this summer. Frog's Farm sunflower maze Where: Willow Farm Bungalow, Norwich Road With the flowers already planted and planned out, Frogs Farm is once again planning to open for its popular Sunflower maze, which is returning for its sixth year this August. Once you get to the centre of the hand made design, you will be able to look out over the yellow sea of flowers on top of the wooden structure in the middle. As well as the maze there will also be picnic areas, sandpits, a café and pick your own, plus many more activities. Rougham Estate sunflower picking Rougham Estate sunflower field. (Image: Newsquest)Where: North of A14, Junction 45 What3Words: With plans to open in early August, the Rougham Estate is opening its pick-your-own sunflower field. It will be run daily from 9-5, with them expecting it to be open for between two and three weeks, or until the flowers are past their best. They are also holding two special events they are calling "supper at sundown evenings" on Friday, August 8 and 16, between 6pm and 9pm. The estate will be preparing an evening meal in the field, cooked over fire, with sweet treats from Gee Gee Bakes. Horringer Sunflower Field Where: Just outside Horringer along the A143 What3Words: The Horringer Sunflower Field is another place in Suffolk where you will be able to pick your own from late July to August. You can enter for free and explore the fields spread across 10 acres as you will be able to pick until your heart is content. There will also be a picnic area, with tea, coffee and cakes being provided by Kiernan's Coffee.

Larry Lamb retiring from acting
Larry Lamb is retiring from acting. The 77-year-old actor – who is renowned for his work as Archie Mitchell in EastEnders and Mick Shipman in Gavin and Stacey – says he may take on some smaller stage parts in the future but the Gavin and Stacey finale was his final major role. He told MailOnline: 'You get so involved with these characters that they become your favourite at that time, they are the focus of your life, but to finish up in my 70s playing a character like Mick who is beloved by millions of people, you have to give the writers credit ... at this stage in my career Mick is the closest to my heart.' Although he is best known for playing Mick and Archie, Larry had a longlasting stage career before those two career defining roles. He said: 'I have had a very fortunate career; I've done so much that I am really proud of that maybe not so many people know. 'I have worked at the Royal Shakespeare company, the National Theatre, I have been in 12 West End shows, I have done all the principal fringe theatres in London, on Broadway, I have been very lucky and now I am quite happy to let someone else play the big roles. 'For years, people didn't realise just how much time I spent working in the theatre, people assumed it was always on the TV, but it wasn't. 'My year would be half of it spent doing television and half of it would be doing plays in the theatre. 'If you have been through a life in entertainment and people don't all know you to suddenly where pretty much everybody knows you as a character... 'I find it's a reward, it's better to be known than unknown as far as I'm concerned. Particularly if you are known as a character that people really love... what a way to finish your working life.'
