Wrestling icon Ric Flair reveals cancer diagnosis
The wrestling legend, 76, revealed that he is set to begin treatment next week, only a few years after he was diagnosed the first time.
'It's the second time in three years that I've been dealing with skin cancer.
'I will be undergoing treatment next week,' he told People.
The wrestler has struggled with ill health over the years and in 2017, he was hospitalised with early-stage kidney failure and close to congestive heart failure.
It was revealed at the time that this was due to alcohol abuse, and his family members were reportedly told he only had a 20% chance of survival.
Part of his bowel was removed, a pacemaker was inserted, and the star was put in a medically induced coma to heal.
After recovery, Flair has referred to the time as 'My Terrible Health Crisis In 2017'.
The WWE Hall of Famer, who is recognised as a 16-time world champion.
He previously wrestled his 'last match' in July 2022, but has since made it clear he'd like to do more. More Trending
Flair scared fans earlier this year with some thinking he 'wanted to die in the ring' as he revealed he wanted to wrestle in AEW.
He claimed that his attempt to return to the ring was thwarted as boss Tony Khan snubbed the idea after learning he was 'on blood thinners'.
'He wouldn't let me in the ring,' Flair – who first retired in 2008 after losing to Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania – told the Five Star Podcast.
Asked if he has 'one more match' left in him, the veteran wrestler said: 'Hell yeah, I do!'

Brooklyn Beckham gives insight into secret vow renewal with Nicola Peltz
Brooklyn Beckham has shared details of his 'really cute, really fun' vow renewal with wife Nicola Peltz. 26-year-old Brooklyn and actress Nicola, 30, first tied the knot in 2022 during a lavish ceremony attended by his parents, Victoria and David Beckham. Family relations have apparently become more strained since then, with rumours of an ongoing feud between the couple and his family – including his brothers, Cruz and Romeo. No matter the drama, Brooklyn and Nicola found time to 'celebrate their love' with an intimate vow renewal this month. Confirming the news, a source told Metro: 'This is a moment to celebrate their love and commitment, and to create a meaningful memory together.' Following the discreet ceremony, Brooklyn has given an insight into the big day. Speaking to People, Brooklyn said: 'It was beautiful. We just wanted a really beautiful experience – a really cute memory. 'To be honest, I could renew my vows every single day with her. I think the most important thing that someone can do is find that person that they're going to spend the rest of their life with. 'It definitely shapes you as a person. It was really, really cute. It was really fun.' This comes amid growing speculation that Brooklyn has become increasingly estranged from his family over recent months. Brooklyn's family have yet to address this latest milestone in Brooklyn's life, with tensions growing after he was absent from David's 50th birthday bash this year. The photographer and former model also failed to acknowledge his football legend father's knighthood in June. Brooklyn proposed to Nicola in 2020, after only eight months together. Two years later, and they were married at Nicola's family estate in Palm Beach, Florida. Since getting married, Brooklyn adopted her name into his own, becoming publicly recognised as Brooklyn Peltz Beckham. Rumours of a rift between the families began soon after, amid reports of tension between Nicola and former Spice Girl Victoria, 51. Earlier this month, it was revealed that Brooklyn no longer follows brothers Cruz, 20, and Romeo on social media – while they too have unfollowed his wife. According to an insider for The Sun: 'Brooklyn had no idea until he read about it online. It's possible Romeo and Cruz blocked them, which would make it appear as him no longer following the brothers. More Trending 'He and Nicola certainly didn't unfollow them or block them – they're as confused as anyone else. The first they heard about it was when it was being reported on,' the publication's source reported. However, his father did appear to extend an 'olive branch' this weekend, as Brooklyn took to Instagram to share his spaghetti carbonara recipe. His controversial take on the Italian classic was slammed by many – including celebrity chef Aldo Zilli, who accused him of 'jumping on the cooking bandwagon.' In what some have taken as a show of public support, David quietly liked his son's post. The first sign of a peace offering between the warring Beckhams, perhaps? Got a story? Beloved WWE stars removed from roster and fans are absolutely furious
Two major WWE Raw superstars may have departed the company and become free agents. The current deals for both Karrion Kross and his real life wife Scarlett were set to expire this weekend, and now they have both been moved to the alumni section of After months of fans rallying behind the former NXT Champion and loudly chanting his name at SummerSlam over the weekend, the duo look to have left at the end of their contracts. Fans are livid at the prospect they have left, with @jshaggy1983 writing: 'The fact that the #WWE fumbled the bag with Karrion Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux not once, but twice should be considered criminal. It's their loss, and another company's gain at this point.' 'Karrion Kross & Scarlett moved to WWE Alumni? Heartbreaking. 😭😭 Where do they go from here?,' asked @AmberSaira9510. Some fans believe it's all part of an elaborate storyline, and @Critic added: 'Moving Karrion Kross and Scarlett to Alumni section of the website could be a work 🤔' As reported by Fightful Select earlier this week, the pair – who didn't feature on Monday Night Raw this week – hadn't been offered new deals by Tuesday, after Karrion lost to Sami Zayn at SummerSlam over the weekend. They haven't addressed the situation publicly, but Karrion did respond on social media after fans chanting 'we want Kross' at boss Triple H was brushed off as 'we want Brock' chants. 'I heard you loud and clear,' he wrote on X, before adding: 'Unreal. They write the scripts… But the fans write the truth. Thank you, Tick tock.' It's safe to say a lot of fans are disappointed at the prospect of Karrion and Scarlett leaving, with plenty of people pointing to their potential as major players. 'Karrion Kross has to be up there with the biggest waste of talent in the WWE of all time. Hopefully this isn't if for him though,' wrote @r0w4n_k3r1m. And @chris_xcom added: 'Wherever Kross lands, if it's renewed with the WWE or elsewhere – Kross and Scarlet are going to be serious draws. He was just starting to come into his own for his character. And Scarlet just needs the opportunity.' However, after Seth Rollins recently fooled everyone with his injury at Saturday Night's Main Event, some people are remaining sceptical about this situation. 'We definitely getting worked lmaooo,' joked @johnathanvolk, with other fans expecting them to remain with the company. The duo first signed with WWE in 2020, remaining with the company until November the following year when they were both released. More Trending By August 2022, Karrion and Scarlett had been re-signed and returned on SmackDown, feuding with the likes of Drew McIntyre and AJ Styles. For much of 2024, he fronted the Final Testament group with Authors of Pain, and feuded with The Pride and the Wyatt Family. This year, he's been featured weekly on Raw – albeit sometimes in short promos in between the main action – but his merch has sold well for WWE, and fan support has been steadily growing.
