Tarek El Moussa Gets Public Show of Support From Wife Heather and Ex Christina Haack After Las Vegas Battery Incident
HGTV star Tarek El Moussa made a very poignant return to social media in the hours after he was involved in a physical fight in Las Vegas—sharing an emotional tribute to his teenage daughter, Taylor, in a joint post with his wife, Heather, and his former spouse, Christina Haack.
The heartwarming post, featured a sweet image of the three 'Flip Off' stars posing alongside Taylor, 14—whom Tarek, 43, shares with Haack—as well as the former couple's second child, Brayden, 9.
In the caption, the El Moussas and Haack urged the the teenager to learn from their past 'mistakes,' noting that they hope their own struggles help to lead her to a 'brighter future.'
'Taylor we are so proud of you and so excited for you to head into the next stage of your life. Our beautiful, smart, incredible, bright light we all love and adore you,' it read.
'We hope all the mistakes you've watched us make throughout your life help to guide you to a brighter future…. love you baby. High school here we come!'
The post was shared just hours after it was reported that Tarek, who divorced Haack in 2018 and went on to wed Heather in 2021, had been involved in a physical altercation inside a Las Vegas resort.
According to E! News, Tarek received a citation for battery after he was involved in the June 5 incident, which unnamed sources told the outlet had come about because the HGTV star was 'protecting his elderly father.'
'On June 5, 2025, LVMPD officers responded to a battery incident in the 3300 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard,' the local police department said in a statement. 'Two males were involved in a physical altercation resulting in one being cited.'
It's understood that Heather, 37, was with her husband at the time of the incident, but that she played no role in the altercation, per TMZ.
Tarek has yet to issue a statement about the incident; however, Realtor.com® has contacted his spokesperson for comment.
The joint post that the home-flipping pro shared is the latest indication of the strengthening bond between Tarek and his former spouse, Haack—whose relationship faced a very rocky patch after their acrimonious divorce and subsequent custody battle.
However, after the duo signed on to appear together in their latest HGTV project, 'The Flip Off,' they went through a very public on-screen reconciliation, with Tarek offering his ex a great deal of support amid her breakup from Josh Hall.
Haack and Hall's split came shortly after filming on the show had begun and was documented in great detail throughout the series, which was originally meant to feature the couple going head to head in a renovation battle against Haack and Tarek.
However, after Haack and Hall announced that they had separated in July 2024, the latter was removed from the show.
In the first episode, Haack was seen asking Tarek to come over to her Newport Beach, CA, house so she could speak 'in private,' before telling him that she and Hall had 'officially split up.'
'Things with Josh have been bad for a long time. Not just kind of bad. Like, bad,' she told him. 'And the kids literally asked me to leave. They told me he's not nice to me.'
Weeks after the show began airing, Heather spoke exclusively to Realtor.com about the 'struggles' that she and Tarek had seen Haack and Hall going through, admitting that 'we kind of knew something was coming.'
'You definitely see some tension between them on camera and I would say like, after he left the show, [Christina] was much lighter. It seemed like she was happier and it made the show a lot more fun,' Heather explained. 'Whereas when he was involved, there was a lot more smack talking; and I know that she wasn't enjoying filming with him.'
She went on to voice her support for Haack's new beau, Christopher Larocca, revealing that she and Tarek had already been on several double dates with the couple.
'We've gone to dinner with them a couple of times, and he's come to some kid things, and I'd say, so far I like him. I have nothing negative to say about him, and she seems happy,' Heather shared.

‘In Your Dreams' Teaser: The Search for the Sandman Powers Netflix's New Animated Sibling Fantasy
Netflix dropped the teaser trailer for its animated Oscar-hopeful, 'In Your Dreams' (streaming November 14), the original comedy-fantasy about siblings trying to save their parents' marriage by enlisting the aid of the mythical Sandman. Former Pixar story artist Alex Woo ('WALL-E') directs with Erik Benson, another ex-Pixar story artist ('Toy Story 4'). The film is produced by Netflix Animation and Woo's Kuku Studios, with animation by Sony Pictures Imageworks. The voice cast is led by Cristin Milioti as the mom and Simu Liu as the dad. 'In Your Dreams' finds Stevie (voiced by Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) and her brother Elliot (voiced by Elias Janssen) discovering a magic book, which allows them to enter the wacky realm of their dreams, where the Sandman (Omid Djalili) can grant their wish for the perfect family. Along the way, they encounter Elliot's long-lost sarcastic stuffed giraffe, Baloney Tony (Craig Robinson), zombie breakfast foods, and Nightmara (Gia Carides), the Sandman's rival. He presented footage Thursday at the Annecy Animation Film Festival with production designer Steve Pilcher ('Soul') and VFX supervisor Nicola Lavender ('The Mitchells vs. the Machines'). Accompanying the sumptuous animation of the surreal landscapes are compelling themes of managing dual careers while being caring, nurturing parents, the importance of imagination and not giving up on your dream, and learning to cope with harsh realities as a part of growing up. And be careful what you wish for. At Annecy, Netflex Animation (led by Hannah Minghella, head of Netflix Feature Animation and Family Film) touted sneak peeks of two upcoming animated series, 'Stranger Things: Tales from '85' (from showrunner Eric Robles), and 'Long Story Short' (from 'Bojack Horseman's' Raphael Bob-Waksberg, streaming August 22), as well as the features 'KPop Demon Hunters' (directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans, streaming June 20), the Roald Dahl-adapted 'The Twits' (directed by Phil Johnston, streaming in the fall), and 'Pookoo' (from Skydance Animation and director Nathan Greno, streaming in 2026). In addition, Netflix premiered Genndy Tartakovsky's adult 2D comedy feature, 'Fixed' (streaming August 13). Check out the first teaser for 'In Your Dreams' below.
