Kalen Jackson is carrying on her father's legacy through her mental health advocacy

Breaking down barriers surrounding mental health was a personal mission for Jim Irsay, the beloved owner of the Indianapolis Colts who died last month at age 65.
It's personal for Kalen Jackson, too.
Irsay's youngest daughter, who joins sisters Carlie Irsay-Gordon and Casey Foyt in running the team, has talked openly about dealing with anxiety. Irsay-Gordon is the CEO with Foyt as executive vice president and Jackson chief brand officer.

Jackson leads 'Kicking The Stigma,' the family's initiative to raise awareness about mental health disorders. The organization is committed to dismantling the stigma often associated with these illnesses and has been focused on expanding access to critical services across Indiana and nationwide.
The Colts have donated more than $30 million to nonprofits and organizations in the mental health space since the initiative launched in 2020.
'The stigma piece to me has almost become synonymous in my head with the way we handle it as a culture because the stigma comes from prejudice and judgment and that comes from how it's presented in our culture over time,' Jackson said. 'How do we change that conversation? With that will come so much of the change that we're fighting so hard to get to in terms of having more things covered (by) insurance or the way the hospital networks look at this, the way that companies look at this and supporting their employees.'
Irsay often spoke publicly about his battles with alcoholism and addiction, hoping his journey to sobriety would inspire and encourage others.

Jackson's voice will continue to carry on the conversation.
'I am so proud of the legacy he has left behind and I only hope to make him proud,' Jackson said.
Jackson will be recognized by Project Healthy Minds, a Millennial and Gen Z-driven mental health tech nonprofit, for becoming a trailblazing leader in mental health advocacy. She will receive the organization's first 'Sports Visionary of the Year' Award at the third annual World Mental Health Day Gala on Oct. 9 in New York. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell will present Jackson with the award at an event that's brought together celebrities, executives, and cultural leaders, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
'When we all got together to decide who should win this inaugural award, it was unanimous that it should be Kalen and the Colts because they have been so committed to mental health in sports,' said Phillip Schermer, founder and CEO of Project Healthy Minds. 'It's not talking the talk, it's walking the walk. They've been doing this from the beginning and I think they've sort of lit a path for what I think every sport and every league ought to do.'

For Jackson, who is on the nonprofit's Board of Directors, the mission is clear.
'To connect with people and to be compassionate and to try to change the world for the better, that's kind of what all this is for me,' she said.
The NFL and NFL Players Association in 2019 agreed to make it a requirement to have a licensed behavioral health clinician on the staff of each team in an effort to increase mental health resources.
The Colts have taken it further. They recently hired a clinician to also work with front-office staff and coaches.
'I don't have to wait to know what impact it's going to have,' Jackson said.

'Like Damar Hamlin': Youth soccer coach's life saved by spectators' rapid response

In a community response that echoed the NFL's Damar Hamlin incident, spectators at a youth soccer match in Wilson, New York, saved a visiting coach's life through immediate CPR and rapid access to an automated external defibrillator (AED) earlier this month. "I keep telling people the same exact thing that happened to Damar happened to me and the amazing thing is this was random, everyday people who happen to be sitting in the stands and knew how to act and know what to do," Andrew Pihlbald told ABC News. Pihlblad, 45, who coaches a U17 boys' soccer team from Jamestown, collapsed after going into cardiac arrest during the second half of a June 4 match at Wilson High School. What started as a routine game nearly 120 miles from home turned into a life-or-death situation that showcased the vital importance of CPR training and accessible emergency equipment. "I went from standing up, coaching and doing whatever, to just my heart stopped and I fell down," Pihlblad said in an interview with ABC News. "Nothing felt weird, nothing felt strange the whole time, until it just kind of happened." Wilson coach Paul Herrmann witnessed the collapse and immediately sprang into action. "I see the other coach face down in the turf... The closer I got, I started running towards him, because it just really didn't look good at all," Herrmann told ABC News. He quickly called for CPR-certified individuals in the crowd, leading to what he described as meeting "three of the greatest people I'll ever meet." Among the responders was Corey Harmon, a retired state trooper who was watching from the stands. "The community we live in is known for being a tight-knit community that will offer help no matter what," Harmon told ABC News. "It wasn't just spectators. It was parents from our team and their team, players running for help, people familiar with the school running to get an AED." The response was swift and coordinated. While some performed chest compressions, others sprinted into the school to retrieve the AED. The device delivered three shocks to Pihlblad before he regained consciousness. By 8:03 p.m., roughly 10 minutes after his collapse, he was in an ambulance and headed to a nearby hospital. Wilson coach Herrmann recalled Pihlblad being conscious enough to crack a joke upon revival. "He was like, 'I want to get up,'" he said. "One of the EMTs looked at him going, 'You ain't getting up, sweetie.'" Pihlblad was in the hospital from June 4 to June 10. He is now back home, and got to enjoy Father's Day with his family. Doctors told Pihlblad he had only about a 10% chance of survival for such an incident outside a hospital setting, he said. Despite extensive testing, the cause of his cardiac arrest remains unknown. "They check my heart out and everything... there's no blockages, there's nothing like that," Pihlblad said. As a precaution, doctors implanted an internal defibrillator in his chest. Damar Hamlin, a defensive back for the Buffalo Bills, suffered a cardiac arrest and collapsed during a Monday Night Football game against the Cincinnati Bengals on Jan. 2, 2023. He was resuscitated on the field and taken to the hospital in critical condition, where he was diagnosed with commotio cordis, a rare condition caused by a blunt force to the chest that disrupts the heart's rhythm. Pihlblad said the incident highlights the crucial role of having AEDs readily available at sporting venues. "If we wouldn't have been at a high school, I wouldn't have made it," Pihlblad said, acknowledging that many other playing fields don't have such equipment on hand. The game was ultimately canceled as a non-contest, with Wilson coach Herrmann indicating he would forfeit if a replay became necessary for season standings. He suggested that the real victory that day wasn't about soccer -- it was about a community coming together to save a life. "It's just like all fell into place," Harmon -- the retired state trooper -- said. "And the fact that the fire departments were able to get there very quickly was another key player in keeping him alive."

Mobile-health Network Solutions Announces H1 FY2025 Results; Continues on Drive Towards Scale and Profitability

Singapore, Singapore--(Newsfile Corp. - June 16, 2025) - Mobile-health Network Solutions (Nasdaq: MNDR) ("MNDR" or "the Company"), a leading MedTech innovator ranked among Asia-Pacific's high-growth companies, today announced financial results for the first six months of its fiscal year 2025 ("H1 FY2025"). H1 FY2025 performance: Short-term impact from transition to leaner, stronger model For the period ended December 31, 2024, the company reported: Revenue of US$4.3 million, compared to US$6.6 million for the same prior period ("H1 FY2024") Net earnings of US$(1.7 million), compared to US$(1.5 million) in H1 FY2024 Cash and cash equivalents were at US$2.6 million, compared to US$6.7 million in H1 FY2024 The lower revenue was mainly due to a drop in the use of MNDR's telemedicine services from the year-ago period, following the closure of its CityGate clinic in Singapore. This was slightly offset by an increase in sales of medicine and medical devices during the period. The higher net loss resulted primarily from the decline in revenue. MNDR Co-CEO, Dr Siaw Tung Yeng, said: "The closure of our CityGate clinic was an inflection point as we transform from an asset-heavy model to a more asset-light business focused on delivering a globally scalable, AI-focused virtual care platform that can be deployed anywhere in the world." "We have since achieved many milestones, and are confident that our stronger, leaner core will not only enable us to reverse the short-term downtrend but set us on a more sustainable path to scale and create value for all our stakeholders. From the outset of our founding in 2016, our vision has been to deliver affordable, round-the-clock, quality care to patients via the transformative power of technology. With the rapid advancement of AI, we are well-placed to accelerate our journey towards that vision." Key operational milestones post H1 FY2025: Transformative acquisition of Lifepack and continued advancement in AI-led solutions MNDR made a transformative acquisition in April 2025 of Lifepack, a leading pharmacy and telehealth platform in Indonesia. Together, the Company can now offer advanced telehealth-pharmacy solutions for Indonesia's 280 million people as well, a majority of whom are underserved by telemedicine services. The Company also continued to make strides on delivering AI-driven healthcare innovation to healthcare providers and patients post-H1 FY2025: In January 2025, it secured $10 million in funding to further its AI-driven healthcare solutions, including its AI Agent - a platform designed to reduce healthcare providers' administrative load and improve their workflow for greater efficiency. In March 2025, MNDR launched AI Notes, a proprietary medical scribe that eliminates manual note-taking for doctors by capturing and contextualizing doctor-patient conversations and automatically generating structured clinical notes in real-time. In May 2025, it announced a tele-dentistry service that will soon let patients perform AI-enhanced dental scans at home using the MaNaDr telemedicine platform and receive expert-reviewed oral health reports within 24 hours. It has also calibrated its pricing structure and further integrated AI agents into its MaNaDr app to lower operational costs while continuing to deliver improved care and service. "Each of these developments will generate higher revenue for us and elevate MNDR to the forefront of AI-driven healthcare innovation, where efficiency, accessibility, and quality converge," Dr Siaw added. "With these latest initiatives already yielding positive results, we are confident that we will not only recover but surpass previous revenue levels, and that we can achieve breakeven by H2 FY2025 and achieve profitability before H1 FY2027." About Mobile-health Network Solutions Ranked #41 in the Financial Times 2024 listing of 500 High-growth Asia-Pacific Companies, we are the first telehealth provider from the Asia-Pacific region to be listed in the US. Through our platform, we offer personalized and reliable medical attention to users worldwide.
