18-year-old thrown from car during crash in Auglaize County
An 18-year-old man was seriously hurt after he was ejected from a car during a crash in Augalize County Wednesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson from the Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP).

Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 2:37 p.m. on US Route 33 westbound near milepost 14.

An initial investigation found that a 61-year-old man driving a GMC Savana and an 18-year-old man driving a Ford Expedition were both heading westbound on US Route 33. The GMC was in front of the Ford.
The crash happened when the 18-year-old drove into the left lane and tried to pass the GMC, according to the spokesperson.
After hitting the GMC, the Ford drove off the left side of the road and struck a raised median, which caused the car to go airborne.
The Ford landed in the eastbound lanes of US Route 33, overturned and slid off the right side of the road, according to the spokesperson.
The GMC slid off the road as a result of the impact.
The 18-year-old driver was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the car, the spokesperson said.
He was transported to Lima Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.
His passenger, a 19-year-old man, sustained injuries and was also transported to Lima Memorial.
The driver of the GMC was not injured in this crash.
Troopers do not believe alcohol or drugs contributed to this crash.
The crash remains under investigation by the Ohio State Highway Patrol Wapakoneta Post.

MPD: False carjacking report leads to two arrests
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A driver who claimed he was carjacked early Saturday morning was charged with making a false report after police determined he made up the story. Edwin Blandon Moren, 45, allegedly told officers that two men in a white sedan pulled him out of his Ford F-150 at Macon and Highland and drove off in the vehicle. He said they also took his cell phone, cash, and credit cards. Where did 100,000 registered vehicles go in Shelby County? The Ford pickup was spotted a couple of hours later in a parking lot on Summer Avenue, and police arrested a woman who jumped out of the vehicle and tried to run away. Investigators said Moreno later admitted he had picked up a woman on Summer and went to a motel with her. He said that while he was in the shower, she took his wallet and drove off in his truck. Adrienne Campbell, 26, was charged with theft of property and evading arrest and is being held on a $25,000 bond. Court records show Campbell was arrested twice in 2024 for similar crimes. MPD: Home burglarized while suspects were live on Facebook In one case, she was accused of stealing a car from a female friend, and in another case, from a man who had given her a ride. Authorities looking for 3-year-old girl believed to be taken by grandmother
The Wayne County Sheriff's Office is requesting the public's help in locating a 3-year-old girl. She was last seen on June 4 and her current whereabouts are unknown, according to a spokesperson with the sheriff's office. Ariana is 3 feet tall, she weighs 40 pounds, has red hair and blue eyes. Anna is 5 feet and 5 inches tall, weighs 140 pounds, has brown hair and wears glasses.
