Noel Gallagher seen 'tearing up' while playing to Edinburgh crowd at Murrayfield
Our community members are treated to special offers, promotions and adverts from us and our partners. You can check out at any time. More info Oasis wrapped up their second sold-out show at Murrayfield Stadium in Edinburgh on Saturday (August 9th), and with just one show left to go on Tuesday (August 12th) before the band head off to Dublin to wrap up the UK and Ireland leg of their Live '25 reunion tour, things have started to get emotional. The string of sold-out shows across the country has marked the first time in 16 years that Noel Gallagher and his brother Liam Gallagher have shared a stage as Oasis, following their explosive break-up in 2009. After walking on stage to greet the Murrayfield crowd hand-in-hand, Noel was spotted tearing up during one moving track on the setlist. In a video shared on TikTok by Oasis fan Andrew Douglas, tears could be seen in the 58-year-old musician's eyes as he serenaded the crowd with the 1995 B-side track Talk Tonight. The fan captioned his video: "The Noel Gallagher tearing up while playing at Murrayfield Stadium." Commenters on the post were moved by Noel's emotional display, with many others who were at the gig praising his performance and stating he "looked humbled the whole night". One person said: "I just wanna give him a hug, he deserves all the love and appreciation." While another added: "He did have a tear. He looked humbled the whole night, but the crowd were amazing." A third posted: "I noticed this too! Thought I was imagining it!" While a fourth wrote: "Aww he is tearing up eh - wee soul." Some joked that it was "probably the wind" however that was making Noel look teary-eyed, while someone else stated that sometimes your eyes just start watering when you get older, and it's not necessarily tears. Talk Tonight was released as a B-side to Wonderwall in 1995, and was later included on Oasis' B-side compilation album, The Masterplan, in 1998. The track was inspired by the near-breakup of the band in 1994, when Noel temporarily quit the band after an infamously poor gig in Los Angeles, USA. Noel travelled from LA to San Francisco without informing the rest of the band and stayed with a woman that he had befriended during the band's previous show in the city. According to the sleeve notes in The Masterplan album, she talked Noel "off the ledge" and helped him realise that leaving the band would be a bad idea. In the 2016 documentary, Supersonic, Noel said he couldn't remember the woman's name or what she looked like, but in an interview later that year, Melissa Lim claimed to be the woman in question. She said: "San Francisco has a reputation of being a place where bands come to die, like The Band and the Sex Pistols. I wasn't going to let it happen on my watch. I told him, 'You can't leave the band - you're on the verge of something big.'" Although it may not be confirmed if Noel was crying at the Murrayfield gig or not, it could be that the memories of almost giving up on Oasis before they ever really got started came back to him during the song.

Woman shocked by how different she looks after hiking popular UK mountain
Vivien shared a video of what she looked like before and after climbing the famous peak in North Wales, and the results left her pretty shocked. She had quite the journey A woman recently discovered that hiking in the Welsh mountains can be a thrilling yet unpredictable adventure, after her recent climb up Yr Wyddfa (Mount Snowdon) took an unexpected turn. Vivien, known as on TikTok, shared her before and after look after her journey up the famous North Wales peak, and the results were quite surprising. Her unique outdoor adventure was filled with unexpected twists and turns as she explored the stunning Welsh countryside. Alongside the clip, Vivien wrote: "Lol, my smile in the beginning to my shocked face at the end." The footage reveals that Vivien's hike began amidst foggy conditions, something that's been experienced by others before. She also mentioned that the weather turned incredibly windy and rainy. Vivien confessed she nearly lost her way, and then revealed her appearance at the end of the trek. To put it simply, she was soaked through, her hair drenched and her expression rather gloomy. It just goes to show how rapidly the weather can shift when you're out exploring. Over the video, she humorously wrote: "Did someone say climb Snowdon and get lost and almost die in 70mph wind and rain?" Despite the challenging conditions, she was fine in the end and managed to see the funny side of the situation. It's always crucial to exercise caution when venturing into nature; however, it appears that Vivien wasn't alone during her mountain trek. Yr Wyddfa, located in Snowdonia, North Wales, is the country's tallest mountain, standing at an impressive 1,085 metres above sea level. It also holds the title of the highest peak in the British Isles outside of the Scottish Highlands. Snowdon is recognised as a national nature reserve due to its unique flora and fauna. Those wishing to visit can find it nestled within the stunning Snowdonia National Park. The mountain is home to several lakes, with Llyn Lydaw being the largest, situated on its eastern side. Historically, the mountain has been referred to as the "busiest in the United Kingdom." In 2022, it was reported that a staggering 543,541 walkers had scaled its heights. There are six main routes to the summit, with the most frequented starting in the northern town of Llanberis. Alternatively, visitors can reach the top via the Snowdon Mountain Railway, which transported 98,567 passengers in 2021. This popular mountain attracts thousands of visitors annually. During particularly busy periods, such as summer weekends, queues have been known to form at Yr Wyddfa's summit for access to the summit pillar. This typically occurs at the steps leading to the trig point; however, it's still possible to enjoy the summit area without joining the queue.

Olly Murs shares the reason he can now 'relate to his mum's sadness' over his 15-year estrangement from his twin brother Ben
Olly Murs has revealed that becoming a parent has helped him to 'relate to his mum's sadness' over his estrangement from his twin brother Ben. The singer, 40, has not spoken to his sibling since he missed his wedding in late 2009 to take part in The X Factor semi-finals. And in a joint interview with his wife Amelia for The Sunday Times Magazine, Olly shared that since they welcomed their first child, daughter Madison, last year, he's had greater understanding of the impact the fall-out had on the family. He said: 'Now I'm a parent I can relate more to my mum's sadness that my twin brother, Ben, and I have been estranged since 2009, though I've got nothing but love and respect for him.' 'This year I've been on tour and I've got a new album out later in 2025. I joined Robbie Williams on stage in June and it was great to catch up with him — he's been like a big brother to me over the years.' Olly and Amelia are set to welcome their second child together later this year, after tying the knot in 2023. The singer added that he's planning to be much more present this time around, after leaving home just days after Madison's birth to support Take That on tour. He said: 'Two days after Madison was born I had to go on tour supporting Take That. Amelia had lots of support around her as her mum came to stay and my parents live near us in Essex, but it was hard and I felt guilty. 'We both understand that my work isn't like a regular job — but second time round I'm not going anywhere.' The Dear Darling hitmaker previously shared the long-term impact his fall-out with his brother has had on him, admitting he 'struggles with loneliness.' He told The Times last year: 'When you've been in the womb with someone, you struggle with loneliness. I had to deal with it when my twin and I went on our separate lives. 'I was desperate to be around people, could not sit in a room alone.' At the time, Olly did not give any indication of whether he and his brother will ever be on speaking terms again but did share that his life goal is now to be the best husband and father he can be. He added: 'My aim in life is to be a great husband and father - that's where my future lies. I'd love my career to continue as it is, but when you get married and become a dad, you just want to be the best for them.' In a joint interview with his wife Amelia, Olly shared that since they welcomed their first child last year, he's had greater understanding of the impact the fall-out had on the family Following the fall-out, Ben also distanced himself from his parents and their sister. On their feud, Ben told Daily Mail in January 2017: 'I was very close to my parents, but fame and greed changed everything. 'My parents wanted this bright, shiny Olly with the money who can give them the VIP lifestyle. They liked hanging around with Simon Cowell, or going to Bon Jovi concerts – they loved their VIP selfies. 'I'm not interested in anything like that, I have a lovely life with my wife and kids.' But Olly is still keen to make amends with his brother at some point. On burying the hatchet, the media personality explained: 'I still want to make that change with my brother.' Asked by Lorraine Kelly in 2018 if he though the rift could ever heal, Olly said: 'I hope so, of course, it's mad because every year I think about it, (will it be) nine years, 10 years. 'I did text him for his birthday but he changed his number. Christmas has never been the same.'
