Lay's transforms beloved American classic into latest flavor: 'Like a cheese chip'
This summer, Lay's is offering an all-American favorite in potato chip form.
Lay's Bacon Grilled Cheese potato chips were selected as the winner of the 2025 "Do Us a Flavor" fan contest.
Paula George of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, submitted the winning flavor, which received the most fan votes, as Texas-based Frito-Lay announced earlier this week.
George's winning flavor was inspired by her late father's recipe, the company said.
The grilled cheese-flavored chips are made from butter, cheddar cheese, blue cheese and bacon fat, among other additions, according to the ingredient label.
On Reddit, a group of chip lovers discussed the new snack, with people's reactions ranging from intrigue to hesitation.
"I haven't tried the bacon ones, but I don't generally like 'bacon flavor,'" one hesitant commentator wrote.
"I love the flavor of bacon, but 'bacon flavor' is often not that."
The person added, "To be clear, I love the flavor of bacon, but 'bacon flavor' is often not that."
"Always too smokey," someone else chimed in.
Another user said, "[T]hese don't look worthy of buying."
Some people said they hadn't tried the new flavor but were excited to do so.
"Looks pretty good," another person said in part.
A few users had already tasted the chips and shared their thoughts about them.
One person noted that the new offering "tastes like a cheese chip."
"They're OK, but I don't think they bring anything beyond the normal 'cheese' flavor," another Redditor said.
"The bacon grilled cheese ones were surprisingly pretty good," another person said. "I liked them more than the others and I didn't think I would really like them at all."
The two other 2025 fan-voted finalists were Valentina & Lime and Wavy Korean-Style Fried Chicken.
Both flavors can also be found in the chip aisle of stores nationwide.
Past fan-voted Lay's flavors include Chicken and Waffles, Southern Biscuits & Gravy, Cheesy Garlic Bread and Wavy Fried Green Tomato.

3 underrated Amazon Prime Video movies you should watch this weekend (June 20-22)
In addition to being a central hub for many people's shopping, Amazon also has a pretty impressive library of streaming titles. If you're looking for something to watch, you might be overwhelmed by the sheer number of choices available. If you're looking for a way to hone in on what you'd actually like to watch, we've got you covered. We've pulled together three great, underrated movies that are all available on Prime Video and are all well worth your time: Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, the best movies on Amazon Prime Video, the best movies on Max, and the best movies on Disney+. I Like Movies (2022) If you think you're the cinephile in your friend group, then I Like Movies was made for you. The film tells the story of a socially awkward teenager who takes a job at a video store in the mid-2000s and develops a complicated relationship with his older female supervisor. Funny and heartfelt in a way that only indies can seem to get away with, I Like Movies is both an earnest ode to loving movies and a reminder of how intense our feelings can be when we're 17. I Like Movies is shaggy, funny, and features a cast of actors you probably won't recognize. You can watch I Like Movies on Amazon Prime Video. Midnight Cowboy (1969) More than 50 years later, Midnight Cowboy still feels as transgressive as it did when it was first released in 1969. The movie follows a young man from a small town who moves to New York City, convinced that he'll attach himself to a wealthy woman who can keep him in comfort. Instead, he finds himself in poverty and lives in a rundown, abandoned apartment with hustler Enrico 'Ratso' Rizzo. As the two begin working together to earn cash, they form a friendship that becomes their only lifeline as they struggle to make ends meet in a city less hospitable than either of them anticipated. You can watch Midnight Cowboy on Amazon Prime Video. Ford v Ferrari (2019) There aren't a ton of great racing movies, but Ford v Ferrari is one of the very best. The film tells the true story of the men that Ford brought in in an attempt to compete with Ferrari at the 24-hour race at Le Mans. In chronicling the many challenges that come with trying to build something in collaboration with corporate overlords, the film also has interesting resonances with what it's like to work in Hollywood. Anchored by great movie star work from Christian Bale and Matt Damon, Ford v. Ferrari is sturdy and functional in ways that few modern movies of any size manage to be. You can watch Ford v. Ferrari on Amazon Prime Video.

63 Thoughts I Had While Watching And Just Like That… Season 3, Episode 4
I'm going to warn you guys in advance that this particular installment of And Just Like That… is, well, not exactly a thrill ride. I mean, it's hard to top the fun of episodes past, not to mention the original Sex and the City canon (I just rewatched the episodes where the girls go to LA, and man, I miss Samantha), but do things really have to be this dry and Aidan-centric? Nonetheless we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into Michael Patrick King's intellectual property. Below, find (literally) every thought I had about the fourth episode of And Just Like That…'s third season:

‘And Just Like That …' Season 3, Episode 4 Recap: Guilty
Season 3, Episode 4: 'Apples to Apples' Is it time for all of us to face the very real possibility that Aidan is a narcissist? For the second time in their yearslong love affair, Aidan has lured Carrie to the countryside. In 'Sex and the City' Season 4, Aidan finds a backwoods cabin in the unfortunately named Suffern, N.Y., and all but forces Carrie to spend weekends up there with him and a domestic terrorist squirrel. This time, though, Carrie is in Virginia with Aidan, not so much against her will. In last week's episode, Carrie eagerly showed up down south to deliver Aidan a key to 'their' (insert eye-roll emoji) Gramercy palace, and then Aidan asked her to stay. Why, exactly, does he do that? Carrie asks Aidan that very question toward the end of this episode. There is only one correct answer, and it goes something like: 'Because you're the love of my life. I miss you, and I wish we could be together all the time, and I just wanted to feel that for at least a few days.' But Aidan tells Carrie nothing of the sort. He says simply, 'I felt guilty because you came all the way down here, and if I couldn't ask you to stay, what does that say about us?' Here is what I think: I think that response solidifies for viewers that Aidan is a deeply selfish, stubborn, manipulative jerk who is dead-set on making everyone close to him bend to his will. For starters, Aidan has successfully maneuvered his way into getting what he wants out of Carrie in this most recent iteration of their relationship. In 'And Just Like That …' Season 2, he refused to set foot in Carrie's house — a melodramatic boundary rooted in old cheating wounds Carrie had apologized for time and again. But then Carrie went and sold it and bought the Gramercy townhouse that he all but refuses, essentially, to set foot in today. Want all of The Times? Subscribe.
