August, 2025, Venus or Shukra will transit into the zodiac sign of Cancer, ruled by the Moon. When Venus, the planet of love, beauty, and desire, enters Cancer in 2025, emotions run deeper, bonds become more sensitive, and relationships shift in unexpected ways.
But according to Nadi astrology, one of the most ancient and detailed branches of Vedic astrology, this transit does far more than stir feelings. It activates karmic layers of the heart, brings hidden patterns to light, and creates moments of destiny that can completely change the course of love and relationships.
From August 2025, Venus will move into the nurturing waters of Cancer, and this soft yet powerful placement is set to impact every zodiac sign differently.
While some will experience soulmate-like connections and heart-expanding love, others may face tests, breakups, or karmic lessons that feel intense but necessary. Nadi astrology reveals that Venus in Cancer is not simply about romance; it is about how we nurture, how we cling, and how we release.
Nadi astrology pays close attention to karmic debts, past-life connections, and how the nodes of destiny affect present relationships.

This means that Venus in Cancer is not just about fleeting attraction; it is about whether your karmic contract with someone strengthens, evolves, or dissolves. The retrograde patterns, nakshatra placements, and the sign's natural inclination toward home and family all suggest that this transit could bring shocking yet transformative twists to love stories, especially for certain signs.
Aries
For Aries, Venus in Cancer activates the emotional foundation of partnerships.
According to Nadi principles, this period may reveal cracks in the relationship that were hidden before. Some Aries natives may face an unexpected shift in domestic life, such as a partner expressing new emotional needs or a sudden desire for change. This can create tension, but it can also pave the way for deeper honesty. Those who are single may reconnect with someone from the past, drawn back through karmic ties.
The shock comes not from loss but from the realisation that love requires both security and freedom.
Taurus
For Taurus, Venus as your ruling planet entering Cancer brings heightened sensitivity in communication. Nadi astrology suggests that karmic connections from past lives may reappear through messages, meetings, or even misunderstandings. Love can blossom quickly, but equally, a careless word could cause a rift. This is a time where every conversation matters, and secrets may come to light. Shocking twists may appear as unexpected confessions, rekindled romance, or the realisation that a partner has been withholding true feelings.
Your challenge is to listen with compassion while speaking with care.
Gemini
For Gemini, Venus in Cancer shakes up financial and emotional values. Nadi texts point to karmic ties where money and love intertwine, which means financial choices could directly affect relationships now. A shocking twist may appear in the form of a sudden financial revelation within a partnership or the discovery that a loved one's priorities differ from your own.
Yet, this is also the time when nurturing bonds can grow stronger if honesty is embraced.
Some Geminis may even meet a destined partner through financial or professional links.
Cancer
For Cancer, this is the most potent transit of the year. Venus entering your sign amplifies love energy, but Nadi astrology warns of karmic tests. Relationships will feel intense, and emotions may swing between joy and insecurity. For some Cancerians, a karmic partner may arrive suddenly, creating a bond that feels fated but overwhelming.
For others, an existing relationship may face unexpected revelations that force you to redefine boundaries.
The shocking twist here lies in how you view yourself in love – are you clinging too tightly, or are you willing to love with freedom?
Leo
For Leo, Venus in Cancer stirs hidden desires and suppressed emotions. Nadi astrology points to karmic debts resurfacing, especially from relationships that were unfinished in the past.
Some Leos may experience secret affairs coming to light or hidden truths about a partner emerging unexpectedly. The shock comes through exposure, but it carries the lesson of authenticity. On a deeper level, this transit encourages healing old wounds so that new love can eventually grow without shadows.
Virgo
For Virgo, Venus in Cancer brings unexpected twists through social networks, friends, and communities. According to Nadi principles, karmic bonds often manifest through group interactions, and for many Virgos, this could mean a friendship suddenly turning romantic.
However, the shock may also come from betrayals or discovering that a friend harbours unspoken feelings. These sudden shifts can either destabilise or transform your love life, depending on how you handle boundaries.
The key lies in discernment and honesty.
Libra
For Libra, Venus in Cancer highlights the intersection between career and relationships. Nadi astrology indicates karmic entanglements between authority, duty, and love.
Some Libras may find themselves drawn toward someone in their professional world, sparking a romance that feels both exciting and complicated. Others may face a shocking twist in the form of conflicts between career choices and relationship needs.
This is the time when you must weigh personal happiness against social or professional obligations, with destiny steering you toward truth.
Scorpio
For Scorpio, Venus in Cancer brings karmic shifts through travel, philosophy, and long-distance connections.
Love may appear unexpectedly through journeys, studies, or spiritual pursuits. Nadi texts suggest karmic ties from past lives manifesting in faraway places or with partners from different backgrounds. The shocking twist comes when your love story challenges existing beliefs or forces you to expand your horizons.
For some, a long-distance relationship could suddenly deepen or collapse under emotional strain.
Sagittarius
For Sagittarius, Venus in Cancer brings karmic transformations in intimacy and shared resources. According to Nadi principles, karmic love debts are being repaid now, which can manifest as sudden revelations in trust, money, or emotional vulnerability. A shocking twist could involve discovering hidden aspects of your partner or facing choices that test loyalty. While the intensity may feel unsettling, it is designed to cleanse old karmic baggage and create space for authentic emotional bonds.
Capricorn
For Capricorn, Venus in Cancer directly affects partnerships and marriages. Nadi astrology highlights karmic contracts in relationships, meaning the love twists you experience now are tied to destiny. Some Capricorns may face sudden proposals, separations, or revelations that shake the foundation of commitment. These shifts are not random but part of a karmic script designed to realign your love life. The shocking element is that events may move faster than expected, forcing quick decisions.
Aquarius
For Aquarius, Venus in Cancer influences love through health, service, and daily routines. Nadi readings suggest karmic patterns where emotional care and physical well-being are deeply linked. A shocking twist may appear as meeting someone through health or work-related contexts, or suddenly realising a relationship is draining more energy than it gives. Some Aquarians may find themselves reevaluating love based on whether it supports their growth and balance.
This is a karmic wake-up call to nurture relationships that also nurture you.
Pisces
For Pisces, Venus in Cancer brings heightened romance, creativity, and emotional vulnerability. Nadi astrology warns that karmic bonds may intensify now, leading to sudden, almost fated encounters. Some Pisceans may fall deeply in love quickly, while others may face shocking revelations in existing partnerships. The twist is that love could feel both like a blessing and a test, demanding emotional maturity.
For creative Pisceans, this is also a time when love and inspiration blend in powerful but unpredictable ways.

Villagers clean Doyang dam reservoir of floating waste

1 2 Dimapur: In an effort to keep the Doyang dam reservoir in Wokha district pollution free and promote a healthier environment, the Doyang Land Owners Union, in collaboration with North Eastern Electric Power Corporation Ltd, took up a cleanliness drive at Doyang reservoir, removing a large quantity of plastic waste, floating waste, and logs. Neighbouring villages of the Doyang Hydro Electric Project (DHEP) and other bodies such as UBC Doyang, St Thomas Catholic church, Lotha Hoho Doyang, Esanphen village, Thillong village, Wondang village, and other concerned public, besides state police and central forces personnel, also took part in the initiative on Saturday. The DHEP, located in the Doyang river, is the only major river dam in Nagaland. John Zeliang, executive director and head of plant Doyang, who was present at the site, expressed his happiness that the Land Owners Union, churches and the public took the initiative to clean up the dam area. "We cannot solve the environmental issue by money or technology alone. It requires the will of the people and participation of every individual," he said. Stating that Doyang river gets a lot of floating debris coming from the catchment areas, he stressed that cleaning up Doyang reservoir alone will not work. "We have to do lifestyle changes in catchment areas to keep our areas, land, gardens and everything clean, especially those wastes which do not biodegrade," Zeliang added. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? Villages near VTR left in darkness for years

1 2 3 4 5 6 Bettiah: A large number of villagers in three settlements near the Valmiki Tiger Reserve (VTR) have been living without electricity for years in Bagaha. The affected families belong to Luxmipur Rampurwa panchayat under Bagaha-2 block. According to officials, they were deprived of power supply due to environmental restrictions. Executive officer of the electricity department, Alok Amritanshu, said, "We have provided off-grid electricity to those areas where on-grid electricity has not been provided." A microgrid power plant was set up in the border areas of Jhandu Tola, Chakdahwa and Bin Toli. However, with the batteries of the solar panels now damaged, the villages remain without electricity. Amritanshu said a new on-grid-off-grid power station costing Rs 139 crore would soon be built, which would ensure 24-hour electricity supply to the area, including Jhandu Tola, Chakdahwa and Bin Toli. Residents expressed their frustration over years of neglect. Basant Kumar, a villager from Jhandu Tola, said, "We never saw electricity after independence. But in 2018, the government established solar panels in these villages. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Last Chance: 80% Off This Artisan's Retirement Jewelry Sale The Heritage Journal Read More Undo When the solar panels came into existence, they offered us a sense of comfort and security. This alternative was very useful for us to recharge our mobiles and help with other daily needs. But after two years, the battery failed, and again we are facing darkness in the village. Now we go to Susta village in Nepal, 1km away from our residence, to charge our mobiles." He added that when solar panels were first introduced, they became the lifeline of the region, but the lack of maintenance meant they soon failed, pushing villagers back into darkness. Some residents now use small personal solar panels to light their homes at night. In Chakdahwa, another villager, Gulab Ansari, said, "We have complained several times to the local MLA and other administrative officers to restart the solar panels, but we only received assurances from them. More than 2,000 people live their lives in shadow due to the absence of electricity in our region, which is surrounded by VTR, the Gandak river, and Nepal on one side. We face many problems due to darkness. People in our village have been cooking food in the dark for years. Those who do not have lighting arrangements cook their food before it gets dark. Not only this, but the problem increases when dangerous wild animals come to our village from the dense forest of Valmiki Tiger Reserve. That time proves to be very dangerous and scary for us." KMC seeks forest nod to trim branches of 100 leaning trees

1 2 3 4 5 Kolkata: The Kolkata Municipal Corporation (KMC) has sought permission of state forest department to fell 28 dead trees and trim branches of about 100 trees leaning dangerously in the city. "Usually, the civic body needs to obtain the permission of the forest dept for felling a tree. But these 100 trees that are leaning dangerously, posing a threat to public safety, have trunk-like fat branches. So, we are taking the forest department's permission to trim those branches," a senior official of KMC parks and gardens dept told TOI. The civic body has been doing an audit of health of trees in various wards since July, and a section of officials associated with the survey conceded that concrete bases, built as part of a beautification drive, have put the life of several trees at stake. Following a writ petition by green activists a few years ago, the Calcutta High Court asked for demolition of the concrete structures at the base of trees so that roots could access water, soil, and air. In keeping with the order, the parks and gardens dept removed the concrete bases of the trees. "We stopped construction of concrete tree bases and razed the structures that were built earlier in many places of the city," said the official. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Could This NEW Collagen Blend Finally Reduce Your Cellulite? So far, the audit done in different wards has found nearly 200 leaning trees, including 10 diseased trees and 28 dead trees. The areas where the trees were spotted include Aurobindo Sarani, Bidhan Sarani, Vivekananda Road, Ripon Street, Bowbazar, Rashbehari Avenue, Harish Mukherjee Road, Chetla Central Road, Nimtolla Ghat Street, Lenin Sarani, Alipore and Jadavpur. The species of the trees are Mahogany, Krishnachura, Radhachura, Aswattha, banyan, and Kadam, and some of them are nearly a century old. "We are planning to finish about 80% of the survey before Durga Puja. Now, we are awaiting the nod of the forest dept to axe the dead trees and trim the branches of the trees that have been identified as leaning in an extremely dangerous condition," said the official. Experts flagged concerns over concrete bases. Environment scientist Swati Nandi Chakraborty said, "Protecting a tree's main roots is vital to its health, stability and survival." Debabrata Maity, CU botany professor, said, "Terrestrial plants have specific mycorrhizal association, which is essential for their healthy life. This should not be disturbed through concrete bases."
