Fatal crash on DASH Highway: Motorcyclist falls to his death from flyover after losing control of bike
According to a report in Berita Harian, Shah Alam district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Mohd Iqbal Ibrahim said the incident occurred around 4.45pm. The victim, riding a Yamaha YZF-R15, is believed to have lost control of his bike while navigating a bend, before crashing into the flyover's divider and falling to the ground below.
'The impact of the crash caused the victim to fall from the flyover, approximately 21 metres, onto a grassy area along Persiaran Pulau Angsa. The victim, who sustained severe head and leg injuries, was confirmed dead at the scene,' Iqbal was quoted as saying.
He added that the victim, aged 23, worked for a private company and was on his way from his home in Kampung Melayu Subang to a motorcycle service workshop in Kuala Lumpur.
The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act (RTA) 1987.
Iqbal also appealed for any witnesses or members of the public with information to come forward and assist with the investigation, directing them to contact Inspector Nur Iqmal Maisarah Azman at 012-2836851.

Describing the arrests as unnecessary, Hilman said the police only needed to summon the duo if their statements were required. 'That would have been enough. At most, that would take two to three hours,' he said, addressing a crowd who gathered in front of the Dang Wangi police headquarters tonight in solidarity with those detained. Hilman also said that the more people arrested over the Turun Anwar rally, 'the faster the government would fall'. 'There might not be many of us now, tonight perhaps there are 100 of us here. Tomorrow, if you arrest more (people) – then 200 (people) will gather (in solidarity with those arrested), then 300,' he said, warning that the Madani government's days in Putrajaya were limited. Hilman urged supporters to gather outside the Dang Wangi police headquarters tomorrow, at 9.30am, in solidarity with the duo. Earlier today, Bersatu Youth information chief Harris Idaham Rashid said Furqan and Syafiq were believed to have been arrested over the July 26 rally. He said an application to extend their remand is expected to be made tomorrow morning. Harris had also said the magistrate earlier today rejected an application by police to extend the remand order of two others – Bersatu leader Badrul Hisham Shaharin and Sijangkang PAS Youth chief Ikhwan Syaffiq. Both were released at 5pm today. Badrul, better known as Chegubard, was arrested by police at his home yesterday evening. Badrul said today that from the time of his arrest until he was brought before a magistrate for the remand application, he was not questioned by police. 'This clearly proves that the regime's true intention was intimidation,' he said in a Facebook post.

PETALING JAYA : Two more Bersatu members have been arrested by police, believed to be in connection with the Turun Anwar rally held on Saturday. According to Bersatu Youth information chief Harris Idaham Rashid, the duo – Furqan Hakimi, who serves as the executive secretary of the wing's Perak chapter, and Syafiq Aziz – were picked up today. 'They are believed to have been arrested over the July 26 rally. Both will be taken to the Dang Wangi police headquarters. An application to extend their remand is expected to be made tomorrow morning,' he said. In the same statement, Harris said the magistrate had earlier today rejected an application by police to extend the remand order of two others. 'As a result, Badrul Hisham Shaharin and (Sijangkang PAS Youth chief) Ikhwan Syaffiq were released at 5pm today,' he said. 20 songbirds and monitor lizard seized in raids on wildlife traffickers

(Wikipedia pic) PETALING JAYA : Five men have been detained and a range of protected wildlife specimens, including 20 live white-rumped sharma songbirds and a monitor lizard, were seized in separate raids in Perak and Kedah. The raids involved the wildlife crime bureau at Bukit Aman, the wildlife and parks department (Perhilitan) and local authorities in Lumut, Perak, and Kupang, Kedah, Bernama reported. A statement from Bukit Aman said the raids on July 24 had successfully dismantled illegal wildlife hunting and trafficking activities. Four men aged between 31 and 61 were detained in the first raid on a house in Lumut. A live monitor lizard and a range of wildlife parts and weapons were seized. White-rumped sharma bird. Among the items confiscated were seven wild boar carcasses, 148 packages of water monitor lizard parts, 80 packages believed to contain wild boar meat, and a live monitor lizard, Bukit Aman said in a statement. A rifle, 30 bullets, 40 used bullet casings, and a bullet belt were also seized. The team also discovered a necklace with two pendants, believed to be tiger claws, a skull fragment suspected to be from a wild boar, and 23 vials believed to contain water monitor lizard bile. In a separate raid at 12.45pm in Kedah, a 30-year-old man was arrested and 20 white-rumped sharma (Copsychus malabaricus) birds were seized. The birds, a protected species, have an estimated value of RM200,000. The white-rumped sharma is native to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia, while the subspecies Copsychus malabaricus tricolor is native to West Malaysia and Sumatra. It is a popular cage bird for its rich and melodious voice.
