Eagles training camp practice: Live updates from Day 1!
The Birds' 2025 training camp schedule officially kicks off today, Wednesday, July 23.
Following the joint Nick Sirianni and Howie Roseman pre-practice press conference at 9:30 AM, the on-field action at the NovaCare Complex will begin at 10:00 AM. Jalen Hurts and some other players will then be available to media after practice ends.
It's an exciting time of year! Yeah, the real games don't begin until September ... but this is where the long road back to the Super Bowl truly begins. As the team prepares for the upcoming season, there's much to monitor in terms of position battles, player development, and the projected 53-man roster outlook.
With Eagles training camp mostly closed to public access (save for one open practice at The Linc), there's no better way to track all of the news than with the comprehensive coverage we have lined up for you here at Bleeding Green Nation. Eagles' training camp: 3 standouts from the first padded practice of 2025
With Day 5 of practices complete, we're looking at the three standouts from the Tuesday morning session. The Eagles were back on the field for the fifth day of training camp in blistering, almost 100-degree heat. Philadelphia has had four training camp practices and a Friday walkthrough before the NFL celebrates 'Back Together Weekend'. The Eagles have returned to the NovaCare Complex for a Tuesday morning session that will be the team's first fully padded practice of the summer. The Eagles will be on the field for approximately 90 minutes, followed by a walkthrough on Wednesday. With Day 5 of practices complete, we're looking at the three standouts from the Tuesday morning session. RB ShunDerrick Powell Powell rushed for over 4,000 yards in his collegiate career with 42 total touchdowns. He had eight 100-yard games in 2024. The two-time FCS All-American is a three-down running back and potential special-teams standout. Elijah Cooks Roster spots are earned and not stolen, but through one week of training camp at the NovaCare Complex, it's the big, physical receiver, Elijah Cook, making a name for himself ahead of players with bigger expectations. The Eagles signed Cooks to a reserve/future contract following the Super Bowl. Cooks signed with the Eagles' practice squad on Jan. 14 after spending most of the 2024 season on the Jaguars' practice squad. The 26-year-old wideout has made a dazzling catch in each of the past three practices. LB Jihaad Campbell The rookie once again had the spotlight all to himself with Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean out, and Campbell provided a sideline-to-sideline impact on the run and the pass.

Eagles dealing with injuries to key defenders entering Week 2 of training camp
Two key defensive players were absent from the Eagles' practice with injuries. That comes on the heels of Jalen Carter missing the first few days of camp The defending Super Bowl champions are more than a month away from their season-opening matchup against the Dallas Cowboys, and Vic Fangio's unit is bruised entering Week 2 of training camp. On Tuesday, two key defensive players were absent from practice with injuries. Zack Baun and Nolan Smith, two of the Eagles' top defenders, were both absent from practice on Tuesday and could miss time. Baun suffered a back contusion and Smith a concussion during practice on Monday. That comes on the heels of Jalen Carter missing the first few days of camp and rookie Andrew Mukuba dealing with a shoulder injury. Philadelphia is scheduled to practice on Thursday, Friday, Sunday, Monday, and next Tuesday. The team will have an off day next Wednesday before the preseason opener against the Bengals at Lincoln Financial Field a week from Thursday. Rookie Jihaad Campbell, second-year pro Jeremiah Trotter Jr., and rookie fifth-round pick Smael Mondon from Georgia, as well as Dallas Gant and undrafted rookie Lance Dixon from Toledo, are available inside linebackers.

Kurt Warner to be lead NFL game analyst for YouTube's Christmas Day Game: Sources
With a little more than a month until its first exclusive NFL regular-season game, YouTube signed Hall of Famer Kurt Warner as its lead game analyst, but is still in search of a play-by-play caller, according to sources briefed on the discussions. YouTube is expected to put its mark on the Sept. 5 game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers. It will likely have some of its biggest personalities hosting 'Watch Along' type streams, where viewers potentially experience the game with YouTube influencers. Advertisement 'We'll do it in a way that only YouTube can, with an interactive viewing experience and creators right at the center of the experience,' said Mary Ellen Coe, chief business officer of YouTube, in a release for the official game announcement. A YouTube spokesperson declined to comment on Warner's signing. On the traditional broadcast, which will likely garner the most views globally, Warner will provide the commentary. Warner is the lead 'Monday Night Football' analyst for Westwood One Radio, calling the Super Bowl every season, and does about seven games for NFL Network. Play-by-play caller Rich Eisen joins Warner on the NFL Network's games. YouTube is expected to find a play-by-play caller, but its search has been made more difficult because most network-level football announcers have games on opening weekend. The Chiefs and Chargers face off on Friday, Sept. 5, which basically eliminates all college and NFL broadcasters, who have games on Thursday, Saturday and Sunday. Networks have also been more hesitant to help out the streamers, though NBC is handling the production for YouTube for a fee. Last season, ESPN, CBS, Fox and NBC provided broadcasters to Netflix on Christmas Day, but this season, they have been reluctant to loan out their big personalities. CBS, which is handling the production for Netflix, has been willing. The Athletic previously reported that CBS' Nate Burleson and Matt Ryan are in the mix for Netflix's doubleheader, while the non-network affiliated Drew Brees has signed as a game analyst.
