Akhil Akkineni, the younger son of superstar Nagarjuna, tied the knot with Zainab Ravdjee in a private wedding ceremony at the family's Hyderabad residence on June 6. The intimate event was followed by a lavish reception hosted at the iconic Annapurna Studios, where the Akkinenis welcomed industry friends and extended family to bless the couple.
Among those who turned heads at the reception were Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala, who played the perfect hosts. In newly shared photos from Annapurna Studios' official Instagram handle, Sobhita looked radiant in a classic red saree teamed with an intricately embellished blouse. She posed gracefully beside Chaitanya and was seen beaming with joy as she adored the newlyweds, Akhil and Zainab.
Nagarjuna took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce the wedding and shared the first official photos of the bride and groom. He wrote, 'With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony (3:35 am) at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us. We seek your blessings as they begin this new journey together. With love and gratitude."
Sobhita also gave Zainab a warm social media welcome. She shared a heartfelt note that read, 'Welcome to the family dear Z. Congratulations to the newlyweds."
Akhil, known for his roles in Telugu films like Agent and Hello, is the son of Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni. His wife, Zainab Ravdjee, is the daughter of Hyderabad-based businessman Zulfi Ravdjee. Zainab once dabbled in acting and notably appeared in M.F. Husain's Meenaxi: A Tale of Three Cities alongside Tabu and Kunal Kapoor.
The couple reportedly dated for three years before getting engaged in November 2024. Their reception marked the beginning of a new chapter for the Akkinenis.

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 17 (ANI): Veteran Marathi actor Jyoti Chandekar passed away at the age of 69 on August 16 in Pune, her daughter actress, best known for her role as 'Poorna Aji' in the TV show 'Tharala Tar Mag,' had been unwell for a daughter, Tejaswini Pandit, took to her Instagram on Saturday to confirm the news of her passing along with an emotional note. 'It is with deep sorrow that I share the news that our mother, the esteemed and beloved actress Mrs. Jyoti Chandekar Pandit, who lived life on her own terms and always smiled wholeheartedly, passed away today, 16th August, at the age of 69 after a brief illness," she wrote in Marathi Chandekar's funeral took place on Sunday morning at Pune's Vaikunth television channel 'Star Pravah', which airs Tharala Tar Mag, also paid tribute to the actor, remembering her warm presence and significant contribution to Marathi entertainment. Jyoti Chandekar started acting at the age of 12 and worked for over five decades in theatre, films, and television. She became a familiar face in Marathi households and earned respect for her powerful performances. Her notable films include Mee Sindhutai Sapkal (2010) and Guru (2016).
