A BRITISH-made stealth jet has broken the world record for the longest continuous flight, spending 67 days in the sky.
That's the equivalent of 1,608 hours - enough time to watch every episode of Top Gear, Love Island and Strictly Come Dancing that has ever aired in the UK.

In fact, it's more than enough time, with Top Gear boasting 518 hours' worth of content across 33 seasons, Love Island's 390 hours and Strictly with a whopping 635 hours.
A total of 1,543 hours.
The unmanned plane, known as Aalto Zephyr, flew for more than two months from Kenya to Australia before being plunged into the Indian Ocean.
The flight beat a record held by two American pilots for over 50 years.
In 1959, Robert Timm and John Cook flew a Cessna Skyhawk continuously for 64 days and 22 hours in Nevada.
That record has now been bested by a British jet, built by Airbus at its facilities in Farnborough, Hampshire.
British defence company QinetiQ originally developed the project, before selling it off to Airbus in 2013.
The Zephyr is a drone-like aircraft with a wingspan of 85ft, and weighs just 75kg.
It has been hailed for its abilities for near 'endless flight', with it using solar power to charge its propellers during the day.
Hypersonic jet could whisk passengers from London to NYC in an hour
At night, the craft glides and loses altitude slightly as the batteries drain, until the morning sun recharges them.
The Zephyr can operate as a spy plane, carrying powerful cameras and sensors for Earth surveillance.
But it can also provide 4G and 5G communications, acting like a mobile mast in the sky.
It is designed to fly above 60,000ft, making it well suited for delivering communications to remote areas.
The aircraft's longest previous mission was a 64-day flight in 2022.
"With this new world-record flight, we have pushed the boundaries again for the burgeoning HAPS industry and aviation globally with a solar-powered, stratospheric aircraft," Aalto CEO Hughes Boulnois said in a statement.

Inside Celebrity SAS star Adam Collard's 'dream' relationship with partner
Adam Collard is back on the small screen tonight with a new season of Celebrity SAS, but the prolific reality TV star also enjoys a high-profile romance. The Love Island star, 29, made a name for himself on various dating shows until he met 38-year-old football presenter Laura Woods, best known as the face of ITV's Euros coverage over the past two years. Laura shone when she presented coverage of the 2023 Women's World Cup for the channel. Not only that, but she is also a TNT Sports and Amazon Prime Video presenter after spending several years as a boxing pitch-side reporter with Gary Neville on Sky Sports. Meanwhile, as well as stints on Love Island and Celebs Go Dating, Adam is also a fitness guru and founder of Sculpt Fitness. But what has he said about his long-term relationship with partner Laura Woods? Fitness coach and former Islander (in 2018 and 2022) Adam, 28, has been dating Laura since 2023. They confirmed their romance by making things Instagram official in October 2023. It was Celebs Go Dating star Adam who revealed he actually slid into Laura's DMs first but left her on read after she replied. However, sparks started to fly once they met in person and things got pretty serious rather quickly, with Adam declaring her 'the one' as their relationship became public knowledge. The couple frequently share loved-up photos together, with Adam sharing a sweet photo dump in May dedicated to his girlfriend, which he dubbed 'a little bit of everything'. It included photos of them on holiday together, training together and with the dog, with plenty of cuddles in between. In July 2024, the pair shared the happy news that they were expecting their first baby together. Just weeks later, in September, they took their relationship to the next step by getting engaged. At the start of this year, Adam and Laura celebrated the birth of their baby boy, Leo Ernie Collard, as friends and family flooded their social media with warm wishes. In an interview with the Mirror, Adam said about his fiancée: 'She's amazing and we are having a lot of fun. It feels like I'm living the dream. 'I would never get in a relationship with someone at least at one point [unless] I thought they were The One.' And when asked about the age gap by OK! Magazine, added: 'Perhaps that's what I've always been seeking: an older woman. 'It's something that works for me. But Laura isn't really an 'older woman'. If you meet her and spend time with her… I've dated younger people who don't act as maturely as she does! Age never factored into our relationship, it's been smooth sailing from the start.' Elsewhere in the same chat, he spoke about his dreams to be his children's 'best friend' like he was with his father and plans to have no more than two kids otherwise he 'might stuggle'. The pair have also faced hardships in their relationship, as Adam opens up about on the Celebrity SAS. He explained that Laura had been 11 weeks pregnant when she experienced a miscarriage (she felt pregnant with their son Leo a month later). Reflecting on the impact of miscarriage, he said: 'I know it's a terrible way to look at it, but I felt like it was bad karma for me being on dating shows and upsetting too many people. 'I felt like that was some high power's way of being like, 'Well, there you go, that's what you have to carry',' he said, per the Mail Online. He added that he was a 'love rat jumping from girl to girl. I want to show I'm not that man any more.' Prior to Adam being her boyfriend, Laura had a long-term relationship with a professional athlete. She dated former England rugby player Alex Corbisiero for eight years. Meanwhile, Adam's exes include Zara McDermott, who he was coupled up with during his first stint on Love Island in 2018, before moving onto an on-off relationship with Sarah Godfrey. His second appearance on Love Island in 2022 saw Adam pair off with paramedic Paige Thorne, with the relationship continuing for a few months outside of the villa, while he also had a fling with model Lottie Moss, Kate Moss's younger sister, after they appeared together on Celebs Go Dating. In May 2024, Laura sustained gruesome injuries from a freak pillow accident forced her 'off the tele' and to miss anchoring Tyson Fury's fight with Oleksandr Usyk for TNT Sports. The popular presenter required emergency surgery after a glass lampshade shattered above her and the glass cut her face and arms, narrowly missing her eyes. She explained at the time that the incident happened as she swung a pillow at a holiday cottage. In her post revealing her injuries she praised Adam 'for being my hero that day' as he acted 'so quickly' and didn't leave her side. Laura also praised the doctors who treated her as she continued: 'I've added in the photos from then to now to show that even though it may look rough, it's such a wonderful improvement already and I'm so grateful. More Trending 'It was a hell of a shock and I've been a bit sad, but I'm feeling very lucky it wasn't worse. So a big thanks to my eyebrow too, for taking the brunt of it.' Adam later angrily hit back at trolls who alleged he had hit his girlfriend, telling one commenter to 'shut up' and 'read her Instagram post'. Airing across eight one-hour episodes, the seventh series of Celebrity SAS can be streamed or watched live every Sunday and Monday on Channel 4, starting on August 3. Seven of the best spots to visit on the Clyde Coast
Whether you're seeking outdoor adventure, cultural immersion or simply the restorative power of sea air and stunning vistas, the Clyde Coast always delivers. Tighnabruaich Hotel, Tighnabruaich With an elevated position above the village shoreline, the fuss-free beer garden at the Tighnabruaich Hotel benefits from uninterrupted views over the Kyles of Bute. Yet despite its enviable position it never gets too busy, even on a sunny day, making it a glorious spot to enjoy the best of the Clyde Coast scenery. Sugar Boat, Helensburgh This little gem of a restaurant and bar is surely one of the best in Helensburgh. It's named after the famous shipwreck that can be seen from the town, and it has become a real community favourite since first opening in Colquhoun Square. Visit on a weekend morning for their high-end brunch, or late in the evening for a cocktail – you can bring your dog, too. (Image: Gourock Outdoor Pool) Gourock Outdoor Pool Now immortalised in the pop world after an image of it adorned the cover of Blur's recent album, The Ballad of Darren, Gourock's refurbished outdoor attraction is Scotland's oldest salt water, open air swimming pool. Heated to a relatively balmy 29 degrees, it is open seven days a week and over the summer and offers spectacular views of the Clyde estuary during the day and the heavens at night with its magical Starlight Swims. Hill House Perched high overlooking the Firth of Clyde, Hill House in [[Helensburgh]] is regarded as Charles Rennie Mackintosh's domestic design triumph. Completed in 1904 for Glasgow publisher William Blackie, the exterior and interior were created by Mackintosh in collaboration with his wife Margaret Macdonald. [[Hill House]] is currently encased in a protective mesh box to protect it from the weather, but the exquisite interior is open to visitors, while gangways and steps inside the box provide unique angles from which to view the outside of the building. Cathedral of the Isles Cumbrae, just four miles long, epitomises the perfect Scottish island getaway accessible within an hour from Glasgow. The Cathedral of the Isles, Britain's smallest cathedral, sits in the charming town of Millport, where Victorian villas line the seafront and traditional seaside amusements endure. Founded in 1849 and consecrated in 1851, the Cathedral and adjacent College of the Holy Spirit, were designed by William Butterfield, one of the greatest nineteenth century British architects. The buildings remain with little alteration. Culzean Castle and Country Park Perched dramatically on Ayrshire clifftops, this Robert Adam masterpiece represents 18th-century architecture at its finest. The castle's oval staircase and circular saloon demonstrate Adam's innovative design genius, while the Eisenhower apartment commemorates the American president's connection to Scotland. The surrounding 600-acre country park features woodland walks, a restored walled garden, and the famous Culzean Beach with its distinctive volcanic rock formations. Red deer roam the parkland, while the clifftop paths offer spectacular views across to Ailsa Craig and Arran. (Image: Getty Images) Wemyss Bay Station Enter a world when rail was king and stations were designed and built to reflect its exalted status. Opened in 1865 and then rebuilt in 1903 to a design by James Miller for the Caledonian Railway, Wemyss Bay Station is widely regarded as one of the UK's finest. An architectural masterpiece which utilises glass and steel curves to assist the flow of passengers it is a much loved remnant of the age of the Clyde steamers. It still links with the Rothesay ferry and there are regular trains from Glasgow Central.
