Dhankhar releases book on UP Governor

Lucknow, May 1 (UNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar on Thursday released a book 'Chunautiyan Mujhe Pasand Hai' (I like challenges), chronicling the journey of Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel on Thursday.
Speaking on the occasion in the event held at Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University in Lucknow, highlighting Governor Patel's remarkable journey from humble beginnings to the highest echelons of public life, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, "This book is like a guiding scripture for the new generation."
He said that Anandiben Patel's journey from a small village in Gujarat to the governorship of India's largest state was marked by challenges. He said 'Chunautiyan Mujhe Pasand Hai' illustrates how a woman, through determination and resilience, can rise above social barriers, limited resources and adversity to become a source of inspiration for society.
Yogi said the book is more than a biography, it's a reflection on life's journey, capturing the triumph of perseverance over hardship. Praising authors Vinay Joshi, Ashok Desai and Pankaj Jani, he compared the 14 chapters of the biography to 'the 14 gems that emerged from the churning of the ocean'.
He said, "We often see only the peak of success but forget how much struggle went into building that foundation. Governor Patel's life is proof that anyone who faces difficulties with courage and resolve can become a role model and inspire others."
The CM thanked Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar for attending the event, calling his presence "a great honour". He recalled the VP's earlier visit during the Maha Kumbh and said that it brought fresh motivation and played a role in giving the event global recognition under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Vice President.
Calling freedom of expression important for a strong democracy, he said books like 'Chunautiyan Mujhe Pasand Hai' strengthen democratic values. "This book is not just a biography, it is a complete picture of democracy, struggle, confidence and women empowerment," he said.

NDA will dethrone TN, West Bengal govts in 2026 : Amit Shah

Chennai, June 8 (UNI) Asserting that the BJP-led NDA would dethrone the present dispensation in Tamil Nadu and West Bengal, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said the NDA would form governments in these two states next year. Addressing the state, district and mandal level party office bearers at Madurai after offering worship at the Meenakshi Amman temple as part of his 2-day visit, he said the ruling DMK will be defeated in 2026 polls and an NDA government headed by the BJP-AIADMK would be formed. He also said besides Tamil Nadu, in West Bengal also the NDA will form governments in 2026. Criticising the DMK as a 100 per cent failed government, Mr Shah cited the alleged Rs, 1000 crore irregularities unearthed by ED in the state-owned TASMAC. "Using these funds, at least two classrooms could have been built in each school across the state", he said. He said he was living in Delhi but his ears are always on Tamil Nadu. Referring to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and DMK President M K Stalin's remarks that 'Not even Amit Shah, no Shah can rule TN", the Union Minister said Mr Stalin is right. "It's not me, but the people of Tamil Nadu will defeat you (DMK)," he said. Earlier, he began his address to the party cadres by apologising to them for not being able to talk in Tamil, which he said was one of the greatest languages. UNI GV 1915

Maha: Fadnavis releases entrepreneur Dr Chaudhary's book in Pune

Pune, June 8 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Sunday released Dr Pramod Chaudhary's book, "Pailatiravarun... Tar As Zhaal", which chronicles the latter's entrepreneurial journey. Speaking at the book release ceremony held at auditorium of COEP Technological University, the Chief Minister praised Dr Chaudhary's work in the ethanol sector, describing it as a form of national service by a visionary entrepreneur. He recalled that when the Atal Bihari Vajpayee government was at the Centre, the initiative to increase the ethanol blending percentage had begun, however, in the midst the Vajpayee government left office, causing the topic to be put on the backburner and delaying the ethanol mission. After the Narendra Modi government came to power in 2014, the ethanol topic gained momentum again, he said and pointed that Dr Chaudhary reviewed the ethanol policy, provided suggestions that were incorporated into it and since 2017-18, progress has accelerated. He noted that blending 20 percent ethanol with petrol has resulted in savings of over Rs one lakh crore in foreign exchange and informed that ethanol is being used in aviation fuel and predicted that vehicles will run on biofuels in the future. Fadnavis highlighted the potential for creating a policy to make current plastics biodegradable, which could lead to the development of industries based on this technology. He mentioned that Dr Chaudhary had prepared a report on creating a Compressed Biogas (CBG) project using agricultural waste, rice waste and Mahua flower waste in Gadchiroli. The state government would develop a policy to promote the development of the Gadchiroli district based on Dr Chaudhary's report, he added. UNI SP SS
