Awkward! Carrie Bickmore's seating faux pas at Australian Fashion Week as she is asked to move at the AJE show by burly front row controller

Daily Mail14-05-2025
Carrie Bickmore bent the seating rules at Australian Fashion Week on Wednesday.
The former The Project star cheekily moved position at the AJE show, just prior to the catwalk's late start time.
She was at first sitting next to Lucia Hawley and Melbourne fashion stylist Elliot Garnaut before being swiftly relocated along the front row.
Carrie was then seated next to Isabel Lucas, just moments before the AJE models hit the catwalk.
Ushering her into her rightful position was a tall, strapping front row controller who ensured everyone was in their correct place.
Carrie looked momentarily flustered before quickly slotting into her spot and watching the high end show.
The television host turned heads earlier on Wednesday as she stepped out in style at the Aje show during Australian Fashion Week 2025.
The beloved radio presenter, 44, was every inch the fashionista as she posed for photographers at Pier Pavilion in Barangaroo, Sydney.
Carrie looked sensational in a strapless top adorned with dramatic frills designed to resemble a blooming flower.
The intricate detailing gave the ensemble a soft, feminine touch while making a bold style statement.
She paired the top with sleek black trousers and accessorised with a gold designer handbag.
The Adelaide-born star completed her look with a stylish necklace and chunky gold clip-on earrings that shimmered in the sun during her outdoor shoot.
Her trademark blonde locks were styled pin-straight at the top and wavy at the bottom and tucked neatly behind her ears.
With glowing, rosy makeup and a touch of blush, the former TV host looked youthful and radiant as she mingled with fellow fashion lovers at the star-studded event.

Carrie recently cryptically hinted at something 'big' in the pipeline in a social media post
'Time to get strong for this next big adventure,' she wrote.
It comes after Carrie's rumoured Fox FM co-star Tommy Little added fuel to romance rumours after a comedy roast of his radio co-star.
Last month, the comedian, 40, took to the stage at Melbourne 's International Comedy Festival to make jokes at her expense for The Roast of Carrie Bickmore.
However, Tommy had the crowd speculating whether he had the hots for his co-host after he made a suggestive comment about her appearance.
During the roast, Tommy declared that Carrie 'looks better and better' every day.
'She's just getting hotter and hotter, and if you want to know what's her secret: cosmetic surgery,' he joked.
'Want to know what Carrie would look like without all the work done? Bev Killick,' he added, as he gestured to the comedian who was also taking part in the comedy skit.
Carrie donned a stunning red gown for the occasion.
The night out came after Carrie's very public split from longtime partner Chris Walker in 2023, and the ensuing rumours of a romance between her and her Hit Network pal Tommy.
The pair have made a number of appearances together of late, cuddling up at a golf tournament in Adelaide and enjoying a trip to Uluru together.
Carrie shared a sweet photo to Instagram of herself and Tommy embracing one another and smiling at the LIV golf tournament.
Tommy recently made a relationship confession that added fuel to the fire of the romance rumours.
The comedian revealed to Stellar that he is very keen to start a family and settle down - even if he's not entirely ready to grow up yet.
Meanwhile, Australian Fashion Week has officially kicked off in Sydney as of Monday.
The renowned show runs all week with top designers like Aje showcasing their latest collections to an audience of celebrities, influencers and fashion insiders.
Her trademark blonde locks were styled pin-straight at the top and wavy at the bottom and tucked neatly behind her ears
The runway is already buzzing with drama and daring silhouettes.
Held from 12-16 May and presented by Shark Beauty, the annual fashion event is more than just a pretty catwalk.
It's a week-long celebration of creativity, culture, and the next big things in fashion.
Day one set the tone with a fearless embrace of skin, shine, and power suits.
With cult names like Aje, Carla Zampatti, Romance Was Born, and Iordanes Spyridon Gogos gracing the calendar, alongside buzzy new names like BOTEH and Buluuy Mirrii, the event blends old guard meets next-gen.

Rosie O'Donnell fans react to her slimmed down figure

Rosie O'Donnell is marveling at the slimmed down figure she has achieved with the help of weight loss drug Mounjaro. The former talk show host, 63, has been taking the drug since late 2022, yet remains in disbelief over how far she has come. In her latest Instagram post, Rosie revealed she is now a size 12 - and praised the drug as a 'life saver'. Rosie showed off her dramatic results as she went shopping for a new travel outfit, her slimmed down body on display in a fitted black track suit. 'ok so went shopping to but a comfy lounge wear outfit for my 22 hour flight to Australia- was undecided as i cant see myself in this new smaller body- cam n robin took this photo of me in the dressing room - i am shocked im a 12 - #mounjaro is a life saver,' she gushed in the caption. Fans were equally impressed in the comments, with one merely stating 'WOW' (along with a few emojis) in response to the picture. Kristin Chenoweth also chimed in, writing: 'You look amazing!' Another wrote: 'It is a life changing med! Not only does it help you lose weight but decreases the inflammation in your body so you feel so much better. Rosie - you look great and hope you feel great too!!' One complimented her: ''I've been needing this for years but my insurance won't cover it. You look awesome-although your Beautiful soul shines through in ANY body.' Mounjaro 'is an injectable prescription medicine that is used along with diet and exercise to improve blood sugar (glucose) in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus,' per the official website. Back in March of this year, O'Donnell talked about her 'shocking' new size after taking the medication. In a TikTok video uploaded at the time, she explained to her followers: 'I am on Mounjaro for my diabetes and one of the side effects is you lose weight. 'But [the weight loss] is also because I had a chef for over two years in Los Angeles and I don't have a chef now. It's me cooking for [my child] Clay and me.' The TV personality then recalled how she went to a clothing store in Dublin and revealed she was a size large after previously wearing sizes XL or XXL. 'I find it shocking. I really do. I find it completely shocking,' the mom-of-five expressed. Being on Mounjaro has not only aided her in losing weight, but has made her feel 'healthier' and she is also 'sleeping better.' Back in January 2023, Rosie revealed she had been prescribed the medication and credited it with helping her drop 10 pounds during the holiday season. While taking her child to school, the star explained on TikTok: 'I need to let you know I've lost 10lbs since Christmas.' She added that she had been taking Mounjaro after a fan commented, 'You can't drop a bomb like that and not tell us HOW???' Rosie stated, 'Okay, so like two months ago, my doctor put me on... not Ozempic, Mounjaro? Something like that, and Repath.' She added, 'One I do every other week, and one I do once a week. And that and on Christmas, I stopped drinking anything except water.

Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery reveals why he QUIT Hollywood after finding fame

Stranger Things star Dacre Montgomery has revealed why he stepped out of the spotlight after finding success in Hollywood. The 30-year-old Perth-born actor recently spoke with The Australian, discussing his retreat from stardom. 'I think things have changed,' he explained. 'Traditional Hollywood stars existed because there was mystery... Social media has done away with that. That's a large part of why I dropped off the map for the last five years.' He added, 'I'm not trying to compete with anyone else, I'm living my truth — and hopefully being able to pay the rent while I'm doing it.' The star first appeared on the Netflix sci-fi hit — alongside Winona Ryder, Millie Bobby Brown, and more — as Billy Hargrove in 2017's season two. 'I've given a piece of myself to every role I've played and that's largely why I've taken time off,' Dacre noted. 'Lately, there's been a lot of personal reflection about what I want in my career. I'm trying to gain a bit more control over where and what I'm working on.' Dacre will not appear in the upcoming fifth and final season of the series, as his character was killed off in season three. Fans can next see him onscreen in the psychological thriller Went Up The Hill, which will be released on August 15. He is also readying to star in his directorial debut, The Engagement Party, which was announced in September 2024. In May, the lifelong performer said in a statement shared by Deadline, 'I could not be more honoured to be directing The Engagement Party, a film with an extremely important and timely message. 'I'm equally thrilled to have such a wonderful team of collaborators to help bring this story to life.' And the star said to The Australian: 'Not to be too sadomasochistic about it, but I really believe failure and rejection are the best form of learning. 'Joel Edgerton is a great example of an Australian actor who has become a director. 'His brother Nash, a great friend and mentor, is producing this film and he's generously offered to come over and do what he does with Joel when they work together.' Dacre — whose parents also work in the film industry — told The Daily Telegraph last year that he did not plan to appear in his directorial debut, although that has since changed. He said at the time: 'I'm not looking for this to be an engine for my acting career at all. 'I want to direct, and I'm serious about directing, so I'm taking it seriously and not trying to use it as something else.' The film is an intimate and intense drama.
