Their father, Dustin Fields, has been arrested on an arson charge
Dustin was arrested after he allegedly gave police "conflicting information"
A Kentucky man has been arrested after his two teenage sons were found deceased inside a burning home police allege he set on fire intentionally.
The victims, 13-year-old Bently Fields and 15-year-old Rylan Fields, were found dead alongside a pet dog after emergency personnel responded to a house fire in Franklin County, Ky., on Wednesday, April 30, the Franklin County Sheriff's Office confirms to PEOPLE.
Dustin Fields, 43, was arrested on Thursday and charged with first-degree arson, Chief Dwayne Depp tells PEOPLE.
Fields was not present at the scene when officers arrived but showed up a few minutes later, Depp says.
He was arrested after he allegedly gave 'conflicting information' to investigators, Depp tells PEOPLE, declining to comment further about the reason behind his arrest.
Dustin also allegedly had an accelerant on his shoes, which were located in different parts of the home, notably near the boys' bodies, according to an arrest citation, The State Journal, WLKY and WHAS 11 reported.

In a GoFundMe set up by the boys' sibling, they are being remembered for their passions: "[Bently] loved to fish and even made YouTube videos about it (BMF'S OUTDOORS). Rylan was more tech-savvy than anything really," reads part of the fundraiser.

'Targeted terror attack' in Colorado - reports of several victims
The FBI says it is investigating a "targeted terror attack" in Colorado - with reports a man threw petrol bombs at people at a pro-Israel event. FBI Director Kash Patel said agents were on the scene and working with local law enforcement. Witnesses told US media the attacker threw Molotov cocktails at people doing a walk to remember Israeli hostages in Gaza. A male suspect is in custody. Local police said there were "several victims" and a large part of the downtown area had been cordoned off. Police chief Steve Redfearn said it happened around 1.26pm local time and initial reports were that "people were being set on fire". He said some victims were in hospital and injuries ranged from "very serious" to "minor". "When we arrived we encountered multiple victims that were injured, with injuries consistent with burns," Mr Redfearn told the media. He said a suspect had been pointed out and taken into custody without incident. "This area is not safe yet and we're dealing with a vehicle of interest," he added. Mr Redfearn said it happened as a "group of pro-Israel people" were taking part in a peaceful demonstration - but that the motive was unconfirmed and it was too early to call it a terror attack. In an earlier post on X, police said the incident is believed to have happened at 13th and Pearl streets. Jeffries, Hochul rage at Trump after Nadler's aide nabbed by DHS agents: ‘Clearly trying to intimidate'
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries accused the Trump administration of 'clearly trying to intimidate Democrats' after federal agents handcuffed one of Rep. Jerry Nadler's aides in his Manhattan office. The Department of Homeland Security stormed into Nadler's (D-NY) Big Apple office last week and alleged that his staff was 'harboring rioters.' Jeffries (D-NY) largely refrained from delving too much into the specifics of the altercation, but slammed the administration. 'I think the administration is clearly trying to intimidate Democrats, in the same way that they're trying to intimidate the country,' Jeffries told CNN's 'State of the Union' on Sunday. Advertisement Jeffries previously dubbed the arresting of Congressional Democrats a 'red line,' but caveated that Dems will decide how to respond 'in a time, place, and manner of our choosing.' 'Let me make clear that the House is a separate and co-equal branch of government, the Congress,' he added earlier in the interview. 'We don't work for Donald Trump. We don't work for the administration.' 5 House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries contended that the Trump administration is trying to intimidate Dems. Kathy Hochul similarly ripped into the dramatic encounter. 'Unbelievable. Unbelievable, that's my reaction to it,' Hochul told The Post Sunday. Advertisement 5 New York Gov. Kathy Hochul panned the Department of Homeland Security's actions last week. Don Pollard Nadler has publicly decried the altercation at his lower Manhattan office that transpired last Wednesday and faulted the Trump administration for 'sowing chaos in our communities.' The aide had been briefly detained by the feds after observing agents nabbing migrants in the hallways. Nadler's Manhattan office is in the same building as an immigration courtroom. Video of the wild confrontation swirled online Saturday. The Department of Homeland Security had claimed that 'one individual became verbally confrontational and physically blocked access to the office,' which led to the brief detention of Nadler's aide. YouTube/WNYC Nadler's chief of staff, Robert Gottheim, ripped into DHS' characterization of events, suggesting that the agents seemed agitated after potential wrongdoing was called out, the New York Times reported. Democrats have had similar high-profile run-ins with law enforcement over recent weeks. Last month, the feds slapped a criminal complaint against Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) for assault following a skirmish with agents at an Immigration and Customs Enforcement detention center. McIver had allegedly been trying to prevent the arrest of Newark Mayor Ras Baraka at that facility. 5 Rep. Jerry Nadler's aide was briefly detained by the feds last week in a confrontation caught on camera. REUTERS 'We have publicly responded in a variety of different ways,' Jeffries told 'State of the Union' regarding such instances broadly. 'We haven't let our foot off the gas pedal.' Advertisement 'Donald Trump has learned an important lesson,' he later added. 'The American people aren't interested in bending the knee to a wannabe king. It's the reason why Donald Trump actually is the most unpopular president at this point of a presidency in American history.' Additional reporting by Steve Vago.

A Man Was Allegedly Injured on a Disney World Water Slide While 34 Lbs. Over Ride Weight Limit. Now, He's Suing the Park
Eugene Strickland is accusing Walt Disney World of negligence and seeking more than $50,000 in damages, according to a complaint filed on May 29 Strickland sustained an injury on the Downhill Double Dipper water slide at the resort's Blizzard Beach park during a July 2021 visit, he claims in the complaint At the time of the incident, he was approximately 34 lbs. over the attraction's 300 lb. weight limitA man is accusing Walt Disney World of negligence and suing for damages, claiming he sustained enduring injuries on a park water slide. Eugene Strickland filed a complaint against the theme park on Thursday, May 29. He is seeking more than $50,000 in damages for the incident, which occurred at the Blizzard Beach water park in Bay Lake, Fla., and allegedly left him with injuries he is still dealing with nearly four years later. While riding the Downhill Double Dipper during a July 2021 park visit, Strickland 'became momentarily airborne" and suffered 'permanent catastrophic injuries as a result,' according to the newly filed complaint. At the time, Strickland weighed approximately 334 lbs., which surpassed the stated weight limit of the ride, which was 300 lbs., the complaint states. It is not clear in the complaint whether he was aware of the limit before entering the slide. While on the water slide — which the Walt Disney World website describes as 'side-by-side high-speed slides' — Strickland caught air thanks to the attraction's design and 'exhilarating speeds,' the complaint states. This allegedly caused his inner tube to dislodge from beneath him and made him 'land with force onto the hard plastic surface of the slide." As a result, Strickland claims he 'suffered serious bodily injury and resulting pain and suffering, disability, scarring, disfigurement, mental anguish, loss of capacity for the enjoyment of life,' according to the complaint. Strickland argues that Walt Disney World was negligent and failed to maintain safe premises. He also claims that the theme park was aware of the 'safety hazard' and 'concealed trap' that led to his injuries. The park, the complaint claims, had a responsibility to remedy — or least warn him of — the 'dangerous conditions' of the attraction.
