A source said: 'Noel and Liam wanted to do something to honour their fans who'd been given a kick in the

from the council.
'Their fans had gathered on the hill to listen to the show if they didn't have tickets and those in a good position could get a sight of the screens until the council bores tried to stop the fun.
'Noel and Liam wanted to make a point to their fans who couldn't get tickets so had these T-shirts made especially for them.

'They could only get 1,000 printed in the short space of time they had but their teams pulled it off and their fans were delighted.
'It was a gesture of defiance from them and they wanted to show the fans who came to Gallagher Hill each night that they were just as important as those who were lucky enough to get their hands on a ticket.'
Noel and Liam, who played five huge shows at Heaton Park, also made a point of calling out to their loyal supporters on Gallagher Hill.
During the final two concerts over the weekend, Liam shouted out to those gathered there before playing their fifth track on the set list, 1994's Bring It On Down.

However, the fight would recommence two months later after Noel publicly dismissed suggestion Oasis would reunite for Glastonbury 2016.
2017 -
Liam performs at Manchester's One Love concert after the bombing at Ariana Grande's show, with Don't Look Back In Anger becoming a unifying anthem for the incident. Our insider added: 'Oasis make music for their fans and they perform for their fans.

WATCH: Liam Neeson recalls brilliant Robin Williams story as he discusses favourite comedies
Liam Neeson has told a heartwarming story about Robin Williams when discussing his favourite comedy films. The Co Antrim man takes on the role of Frank Drebin Junior in the latest Naked Gun film, which opens this Friday (August 1), alongside leading lady (and rumoured new partner!) Pamela Anderson. The pair were asked to discuss their four favourite funny films for review app Letterboxd, when Liam mentioned that the Robin Williams classic Mrs Doubtfire is a favourite of his — with him recalling a brilliant story of himself and Robin, as well as a number of others, in a taxi before the comedic legend's death. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Letterboxd (@letterboxd) 'I once shared a taxi with Robin and a few other actors,' Liam explained. 'And he started rapping on some politician. And I remember thinking 'this is maybe what Shakespeare would have been like.' 'Just this incredible stuff just pouring out of his brain and his mouth. He was a genius.' Robin tragically passed away in 2014 after he took his own life following a diagnosis of dementia with lewy bodies (DLB), which caused severe depression. Pic:Liam is taking on the legacy role of Frank Drebin Junior in the fourth film of the classic comedy series, which saw Leslie Nielsen play Detective Frank Drebin alongside OJ Simpson as Detective Nordberg. Leslie passed away back in 2010, while OJ, whose career took a very sharp turn after the Naked Gun, passed away last year. Of course, the big story coming out of the set is that Liam and his leading lady in Pamela Anderson are an apparent couple — with People magazine saying that the stars are enjoying a 'budding romance in the early stages.' The pair sparked speculation about their relationship throughout the press tour for The Naked Gun reboot with fans pre-emptively deciding that they must be more than just good friends. Liam stars as Frank Drebin Junior in the newest Naked Gun film, which releases on Friday. Pic: Paramout Pictures However, neither of the actors have indicated that they are romantically involved with one another but People's source insists that they are currently 'enjoying each other's company'. Liam and Pamela have been full of compliments for each other on the press tour and so far have done well to brush off the series of questions from interviewers about their relationship status. The Naked Gun opens in Irish cinemas on Friday, August 1.

Boxing legend Chris Eubank touches down in Mayo at Knock Airport
The airport posted a picture of the former WBO middleweight and super-middleweight title winner on their social media pages. "You never know who you'll bump into at Ireland West Airport. Delighted to have Chris Eubank arrive at the airport earlier today,' it said. Known for his flamboyant persona and distinctive style, Mr Eubank recorded 45 wins (23 by knockout), five losses, and two draws from 52 fights in his professional boxing career. He has remained a celebrated figure in British boxing since retiring in 1998. He is the father of five children, including Chris Eubank Junior, who is also a professional boxer. Mr Eubank is not the first high-profile name to grace the landing strip at Ireland West Airport Knock. A few days previously, the airport welcomed comedian Jason Manford, who flew in for the start of his Irish tour. In the past decade, the airport has hosted former US President Joe Biden and the late Pope Francis. In 2015, the airport welcomed Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher, whose mother, Peggy, hails from nearby Charlestown. Hopes are high in Charlestown that the reunited Gallagher brothers will visit their mother's hometown when Oasis travel to Ireland for their sold-out Croke Park shows in August.
