Wrexham begin first second-tier campaign in 43 years with trip to Southampton
Wrexham met Eastleigh on the opening day of the Vanarama National League season in August 2022, but are now set to play grander Hampshire opposition three years on.
St Mary's will be the venue for Wrexham's Championship bow as Will Still takes charge of relegated Southampton for the first time in a 12.30pm kick-off.
Wrexham's first home game on August 16 will be West Brom, and Sheffield Wednesday will also visit SToK Racecourse before the Red Dragons travel to Millwall ahead of the September international break.
September brings home games with QPR and Derby and trips to Norwich and Leicester, while October starts with the so-called 'Hollywood derby' against Birmingham.
The two clubs were rivals in League One last season – Birmingham winning the title and Wrexham finishing runners-up – with the Blues also having a celebrity part-owner in NFL quarterback great Tom Brady.
Wrexham will entertain Birmingham on October 4 before making the short trip to Stoke two weeks later after the second international break of the season.
Frank Lampard's Coventry visit north Wales on November 1 and there are trips to Portsmouth, Ipswich and Preston before Christmas.
The first Welsh derby of the season against Swansea is an away fixture on December 20.
Wrexham host Sheffield United on Boxing Day and travel to Blackburn on New Year's Day.
Leicester at home on January 20 is the pick of the early 2026 fixtures, with away games at QPR and Sheffield Wednesday before the month is out.
Millwall, Ipswich and Portsmouth all visit in February and manager Phil Parkinson has a Racecourse reunion with former club Hull on March 10, four days before Swansea head north.
Wrexham head to West Brom for a Good Friday clash on April 3, with Southampton their Easter Monday visitors.
The return fixture with Birmingham takes places on April 11 and Wrexham finish the season at home to Middlesbrough on May 2.
The 46-game Championship season will consist of 33 weekend rounds, nine midweek rounds and four bank holiday rounds.
Goalkeeper Mark Howard, part of Wrexham's three promotion-winning squads, called the Southampton opener a 'dream' fixture and backed owners Reynolds and McElhenney to maintain the feelgood factor in the Championship.
'It is the dream. They (Wrexham players) all want to test themselves against the best players and the best opposition,' Howard told Sky Sports.
'No better opportunity than the opening kick-off at 12.30pm against one of the teams that have come down from the Premier League.
'It really has been a Hollywood movie, every part of it over the last three years. The back-to-back-to-back promotions have been incredible and the owners have brought along some very famous faces to the football club.
'To say you've had a laugh in the dressing room with Will Ferrell and Channing Tatum is beyond belief really.
'The owners live and breathe it. They are with you for every win, every loss, and reach out to you after every game.
'They are fully invested in it in what the lads are doing as people and players. You get that sense off them whether they're at a game or watching from America, Canada or wherever.'

Aston Villa legend Tony Daley spent over nine years as a first-team regular at the Birmingham-based club - so he has seen plenty of teammates come and go. So when he was asked by Villa to name his all-time club XI, only the best made the cut. During his time at Aston Villa, Daley played with five Ireland internationals, but only one of those has made his dream team. Tony Cascarino, Steve Staunton, Ray Houghton and Andy Townsend all lined out in the claret and blue during his time there, but they didn't make the cut. However, Daley did have a place in his XI for Paul McGrath, who joined Villa from Manchester United in August 1989 and played there until 1996. During his time at Villa Park, McGrath won two League Cups, in 1993/94 and 1995/96, as well as a host of individual awards. As for the rest of Daley's all-time XI, he went for World Cup winner Emi Martinez in goal, and Allan Evans alongside McGrath, describing the former Scotland international as 'so gentle off the field.' On it, however, Daley said: 'He'd kick his own granny, a completely different character – aggressive, wanting to win the ball. In training, he'd boot you up in the air and then pick you up.' The full-backs are Colin Gibson and Earl Barrett, with Gordon Cowans, David Platt and Stilyan Petrov in midfield. And up front is Dwight Yorke, flanked by Mark Walters and Tony Morley. BBC postpones Ozzy Osbourne documentary with new date yet to be announced
The BBC has dropped its Ozzy Osbourne documentary from Monday night's schedule with a new air date to be announced. Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home was due to be shown on BBC One at 9pm, but has now been replaced with an episode of Fake Or Fortune?, with no reason given for the change in schedule. 'The film has moved in the schedules and we'll confirm new TX [transmission] details in due course,' a BBC spokesperson said. The hour-long documentary will show the late Black Sabbath frontman reuniting with the band on stage as part of The Back To The Beginning farewell concert in Birmingham on July 5. He died on July 22 at the age of 76 from a reported heart attack. READ MORE The film was originally conceived as a series, announced in 2022 and called Home to Roost, and was to document Osbourne and his wife Sharon's move back from the US, where they had lived for more than two decades, to rural Buckinghamshire. But the project 'evolved as Ozzy's health deteriorated' into the one-hour film, the BBC said. The BBC says the documentary sees the story of the concert told through 'unique and intimate access to the whole Osbourne family', including Mrs Osbourne and their children Kelly and Jack. It was filmed over three years and 'captures the extraordinary rollercoaster of their lives' as the couple 'attempt to complete their long-held dream of moving back to the UK', the BBC has said. Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home also captures the musician as he 'heroically battles to get fit enough to perform' and the family dealing with 'the dramatic consequences of his ill health', with Kelly saying in the film: 'Iron Man wasn't really made of iron.' The rocker, who grew up in Birmingham, England, had been diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2019. In July fans gathered alongside Osbourne's family to pay tribute to the star as a funeral cortege travelled through the city. Mrs Osbourne and the couple's children could be seen wiping away tears when they arrived at the Black Sabbath bench in the city centre, where thousands of tributes, balloons and flowers were left. Musicians from Bostin Brass played Black Sabbath songs to accompany the cortege and fans threw flowers at the hearse as it passed slowly through the city.
