Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh debuts new name during rare appearance

Daily Mail02-06-2025
and Brad Pitt 's daughter Shiloh has unveiled her new name during a rare public appearance in Los Angeles last week.
The notoriously private 19-year-old, who is the eldest biological daughter of the former Hollywood power couple, attended an intimate dinner held at the Oliver House on Thursday to celebrate Isabel Marant's new capsule collection with Net-A-Porter.
During the event, it was revealed that Shiloh had choreographed a dance routine by professional dancers Keoni Rose and Tako Suzuki, who accompanied singer-songwriter Luella's live performance of her new single Naïve.
But according to reports, Shiloh used a new name to choreograph the performance.
She is now reportedly going by just Shi, although it's unclear whether this is solely for the stage.
The overhaul comes one year after Shiloh dropped Pitt from her last name, having officially filed the petition on her 18th birthday.
Her name went from Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt to Shiloh Nouvel Jolie.
Shiloh's latest appearance comes days after she was spotted getting intimate with her gal pal and dance partner Keoni.
The two were spotted shopping together when Keoni sweetly wrapped her arm around Shiloh's waist.
Earlier this month, Shiloh dropped a major hint that she is following her mother into the arts and into humanitarian work as well.
As she exited her rehearsal at the Millennium dance studio in the Studio City area, the dancer was attired in black sneakers, loose fitting cargo pants, and a black hoodie covering her blonde hair.
The sweatshirt appeared to be from the non-profit organization The United Way which helps the homeless and less fortunate, an indication she wants to continue her mother's example of helping others.
Shiloh's mom Angelina is a former United Nations Goodwill Ambassador and Special Envoy, who focused on refugees before stepping down from the organization in 2022.
The teen has accompanied her mom on several humanitarian missions over the years, including trips to Turkey, Lebanon and Cambodia.
Angelina previously opened up about Shiloh's preference to be kept away from the spotlight.
During an appearance on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon in 2024, Angelina opened up about her children when asked whether any of them wanted to be in front of the camera.
'I think some of them off camera, behind the scenes,' she told the host.
'But they really, really want to be - especially Shiloh - would like to be private. Just private. Not photographed. She most of all likes privacy.'
Angelina shares Shiloh and her five other children - Maddox, 23, Pax, 21, Zahara, 20, Knox, 16, and Vivienne, also 16 - with Brad, whom she married in 2014 after they met on the set of Mr. And Mrs. Smith.
She filed for divorce in 2016, with their bitter court battle playing out for eight years before it was finally finalized in December.
'No, I don't think it was that major of a thing,' Brad, 61, told GQ magazine last month of the divorce. 'Just something coming to fruition. Legally.'
'It's been in the news for 30 years, bro. Or some version of my personal life, let's put it that way,' he added to the publication.

DHS Secretary says entire southern border wall to be painted black to stop people from climbing it

Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Tuesday that the entire border wall along the southern border with Mexico is going to be painted black to make it hotter and deter illegal immigration — and she credited President Trump with the idea. Noem spoke during a visit to a portion of the wall in New Mexico, where she also picked up a roller brush to help out with the painting. She touted the height of the wall as well as the depth as ways to deter people seeking to go over or under the walls. And then Noem said Homeland Security was going to be trying black paint to make the metal hotter. 'That is specifically at the request of the president, who understands that in the hot temperatures down here when something is painted black it gets even warmer and it will make it even harder for people to climb. So we are going to be painting the entire southern border wall black to make sure that we encourage individuals to not come into our country illegally,' Noem said. U.S. Border Patrol Chief Mike Banks, who attended the event with Noem, said the paint would also help deter rust. During Trump's first term, building the wall was a central focus of his hardline immigration policy. During his second term, his mass deportation agenda with arrests in the interior of the country has been the main focus, but Homeland Security will be getting about $46 billion to complete the wall as part of new funding passed by Congress this summer. Noem said they have been building about a half mile of barrier every day. 'The border wall will look very different based on the topography and the geography of where it is built,' she said. She said that in addition to barriers like the one she visited Tuesday, the department is also working on 'water-borne infrastructure.' Long sections of the roughly 2,000-mile border between the U.S. and Mexico sit along the Rio Grande River in Texas. The Trump administration is pushing forward with completing the wall at the same time that the number of people crossing the border illegally has plummeted.

Trump administration revises ‘good moral character' citizenship requirement

The Trump administration is expanding the 'good moral character' test for US citizenship, requiring a 'holistic assessment' of applicants' behavior and contributions. US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) officers will now consider positive attributes like community involvement and education, alongside negative factors such as repeated traffic infractions or harassment, even if lawful. A USCIS spokesperson stated that US citizenship should be reserved for 'the world's best of the best' and that the agency screens for 'anti-American activity' when vetting applications. This policy is part of Trump's broader agenda to crack down on immigration, which includes potential mass deportations and reviewing immigrants' social media for reasons to reject applications. Experts suggest the new guidance aims to restrict legal immigration by broadening grounds for denial, with concerns that its discretionary nature could lead to arbitrary enforcement.

Tamar Braxton 'almost died' in horror accident that left her with 'broken nose' and 'lost teeth'

On Tuesday, Tamar Braxton revealed she suffered a shocking, near-death experience on Sunday. 'I struggled to write this but everyone keeps calling me and honestly, I can't even really talk anymore I'm so weak,' the 48-year-old presenter-singer-actor announced via Instastory. 'I almost died Sunday.' Tamar isn't sure exactly 'what happened' to her, but a friend discovered her lying 'in a pool of blood' with a facial injury. 'As the days go by, the worse it is,' Braxton lamented. 'I fractured my nose, lost some teeth, and mobility. The way I look at life now is totally different. As my health is on the mend, my mental journey begins. Pray for me for real.' The four-time Grammy nominee - who boasts 9.7M social media followers - also shared a passage from Proverbs 31 about strong women, and she thanked God 'for waking me up today.' It's unclear whether Tamar will recover in time to perform her next scheduled gig at FunkFest, which will be held at Wolf Creek Amphitheater in South Fulton, GA on September 27. Trey Songz, Ashanti, Young Dro, Youngbloodz, and Ro James are slated to headline the same concert. Maryland-born Braxton is mother to 12-year-old son Logan Vincent Herbert from her eight-year marriage to second ex-husband Vincent Herbert, which ended in 2019. The Fashion Nova brand ambassador is the youngest member of R&B girl group The Braxtons formed in 1989 with her sisters Trina, Towanda, Toni, and Traci - who passed away, at age 50, in 2022 from esophageal cancer. That same year, Toni underwent major heart surgery to install a coronary stent. The 57-year-old Un-Break My Heart belter is by far the most successful of her sisters, having won seven Grammy Awards and sold over 70M records worldwide. The talented quintet have dropped two studio albums So Many Ways (1996) and Braxton Family Christmas (2015), but it's unclear if We TV will be renewing their family reality show The Braxtons for a second season. Tamar scored her very own We TV spin-off series Tamar & Vince with her 53-year-old record exec ex, which aired from 2012-2017. Braxton lamented: As the days go by, the worse it is.
