Director Krish Reveals Why He Walked Out Of Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu Midway
Director Krish Jagarlamudi has opened up for the first time about his sudden exit from Hari Hara Veera Mallu, the long-delayed period action film led by Pawan Kalyan. The filmmaker, who began the project as director, was eventually replaced by Jyothi Krisna, son of producer AM Rathnam, midway through production. Now, just days before the film's release, Krish has addressed the matter publicly in an emotional note posted on Instagram.
In his post, Krish described HHVM as a film born out of deep passion and persistence. Sharing a still of Pawan Kalyan from the movie, he wrote, 'Hari Hara Veera Mallu walks into the world 'not quietly, but with purpose… with the weight of history and passion behind every frame'," signalling that the film remains close to his heart despite his departure.
Krish went on to praise the lead actor, calling him a force of nature. 'Our PAWAN KALYAN garu… an extraordinary force blessed by something far greater. There's a fire in him that no camera can fully capture… a kind of power that comes from purpose. His ever-burning spirit is what breathed life into #HariHaraVeeraMallu. He gave HHVM its spine, its soul, and its storm," he wrote.

He also credited producer AM Rathnam for keeping the vision alive. Calling him the 'architect behind some of Indian cinema's grand experiences", Krish added, 'His ability to see big, to hold the chaos, and to build with faith… is rare. #HHVM is what it is because of his unwavering strength."
Describing the film as one of his 'most passionate battles," Krish reflected on the journey as 'an explorer of forgotten history, a seeker of uncomfortable truths" and a believer in cinema that both entertains and enlightens.
He signed off with a note of gratitude, writing, 'And now, a culmination of years of fire and faith will finally be unveiled. It's fierce. It's rooted. And it's yours. With love and fury, Krish Jagarlamudi."
Hari Hara Veera Mallu is set to release on July 24, with paid premieres on July 23. The film stars Pawan Kalyan as the titular outlaw, Bobby Deol as Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, and Nidhhi Agerwal as a dancer named Panchami. The story follows Veera Mallu's dramatic confrontation with the Mughal empire in his quest for the legendary Koh-i-Noor.
Despite his reputation for staying away from film promotions, Pawan Kalyan recently made a rare public appearance at a pre-release event in Hyderabad.
