Bruce Willis' daughter Rumer calls him her 'inspiration' amid battle with dementia

Rumer Willis, eldest daughter of Die Hard star Bruce Willis, has made a rare comment about her father during health battle. Rumer Willis has publically credited her dad for inspiring her to become an action star amid his heartbreaking battle with dementia. In 2023, Bruce Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD). Two years on and the Die Hard star is now "non-verbal" and requires care 24-hours a day. Back in 2022, the action hero decided to retire from acting after he was diagnosed with language disorder aphasia in March that year. One year later, his family confirmed that his disease had developed into FTD. ‌ This form of dementia has a typical life expectancy of six to eight years, however it can also be as low as two years in certain cases, reports the Mirror. ‌ Rumer, 36, is the oldest of Bruce's children, who he shares with actress Demi Moore. The couple were married from 1989 to 2000, and they also had two other daughters - Scout, 33 and Tallulah, 31. After their divorce, Bruce went on to marry British model Emma Heming and share two more daughters, Mabel Ray, 12 and Evelyn Penn, 10. ‌ Rumer has revealed that she is following in her dad's footsteps as she is making her way in the action genre. Her new movie, Trail of Vengeance, sees her play a disgruntled widow named Katherine Atherton, who is out to get revenge after her husband was murdered. In an interview with People magazine, she said: "My dad is such an action man. My mom's done her fair share [of action] as well." ‌ With her movie now in cinemas, Rumer added: "I felt like a little kid when I found out I got [this role]." As Bruce slowly loses his fight with dementia, Rumer makes sure that her two-year-old daughter Louetta spends as much time as she can with her grandad. A source previously said: "Rumer wants to make sure Louetta knows Bruce. ‌ "She wants him to be actively involved in Louetta's life. It's a very special bond. Rumer and her sisters love their dad so much. They are very conscious that any day could be his last." Despite the divorce, his ex-wife Demi is also making sure that Bruce and their daughters are looked after. Previously speaking to Variety, Demi said: "We will always be a family, just in a different form." ‌ She added: "I've shared this before, but I really mean this so sincerely: It's so important for anybody who's dealing with this to really meet them where they're at. And from that place, there is such loving and joy." In a different interview with Town & Country magazine, Demi spoke of her ex-husband's diagnosis. She said: "Finally getting to a diagnosis was key so that I could learn what fronto-temporal dementia is and I could educate our children. I've never tried to sugarcoat anything for them." She has also spoken out about the best way she has found to take care of the 70-year-old action star: "The important thing is just to meet him where he's at, as opposed to being attached to who he was, how he was. "Because, again, that only just puts you in a place of loss versus being in the present, meeting him where he's at, and finding the joy and the loving of just all that is where he is." Diddy can still come out of trial a ‘winner' even if found guilty & despite damning trial abuse allegations, lawyer says

The trial has heard weeks of gut-wrenching testimony from various witnesses, including musical artists Cassie and Kid Cudi LESSER CHARGE Diddy can still come out of trial a 'winner' even if found guilty & despite damning trial abuse allegations, lawyer says SEAN "Diddy" Combs can still come out of his federal trial as a winner if he's not convicted on all charges, despite the scandalous evidence and testimony from witnesses, according to an attorney. Week three of Combs' federal trial has wrapped up as more witnesses, including another former assistant, continued to testify about the violence the music executive, 55, inflicted behind closed doors. However, Combs' defense team has argued that the alleged victims all engaged in consensual sexual acts and remained by his side for years because of his lavish lifestyle and career advancements. Neama Rahmani, a former federal prosecutor who is not involved in the trial, said even if the music mogul is convicted of some crimes but not all, he will come out as a winner. "Diddy's defense is that these individuals engaged in these sex acts willingly," Rahmani told The U.S. Sun. Advertisement "There was no force. There was no coercion. They chose to do drugs. They weren't drugged. "And the fact that they may have been paid may be unlawful under the prostitution charges, but to the extent that the defense gets guilty verdicts on prostitution only, and not guilties on racketeering and sex trafficking, that would be a huge win for Diddy in the defense." WEEK THREE For the second day, the courtroom heard on Friday gut-wrenching testimony from Combs' former assistant, referred to only as Mia, about the total control he held over her. Mia, who worked for Combs for eight years in various capacities starting in 2009, testified how he made her work grueling hours and violently attacked her. Advertisement The former assistant, one of Combs' many ex-employees who have taken the stand, broke down in tears as she told the jury about the multiple times he allegedly raped her. Mia admitted in her testimony that she never disclosed the alleged sexual assaults to anyone, saying, "I was going to die with this." Diddy trial descends into CHAOS as his lawyers explode and demand case be thrown OUT The emotional victim recalled Combs' spurts of violence towards her and Ventura, telling jurors about the times he allegedly threw a computer and his bowl of spaghetti at her head. "I wondered, what did I do to make him like this to me?" Mia testified. Advertisement The jury heard from Scott Mescudi, better known as rapper Kid Cudi, during the trial's second week. Mescudi testified about his brief relationship with Cassandra "Cassie" Ventura in late 2011, and told the court about when Combs flew into a jealous rage over the relationship. 10 Sean Combs makes a heart gesture as he enters the courtroom on May 28 Credit: Reuters 10 Prosecutor Madison Smyser questions Combs' former assistant and government witness 'Mia' on May 29 Credit: Reuters Advertisement 10 Scott Mescudi, better known as rapper Kid Cudi, leaves the US District Courthouse after testifying at Combs' trial on May 22 Credit: AP:Associated Press 10 A photo of the damage Mescudi's Porsche sustained from a Molotov cocktail bombing Credit: U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York The Mr. Rager rapper, 41, accused Combs of breaking into his house, messing with his dog and locking his pet in the bathroom. Mescudi's testimony was dominated by the January 2012 incident when his Porsche was blown up on his driveway by a Molotov cocktail, which he accused Combs of being responsible for. Advertisement The jurors were shown pictures of Mescudi's charred sports car with the cut-up roof where the explosive was thrown. The trial opened up with powerful testimony from Ventura, Combs' ex-girlfriend of over a decade. The singer, 38, emotionally spoke about how Combs forced her to participate in weekly drug-fueled sex marathons, which he called "freak-offs," with male escorts. Ventura, who said she did not want to engage in the sex acts, told the court her music career took a backseat due to the toll the "freak-offs" took on her day, testifying how she needed days at a time to recover. Advertisement Prosecutors also released photos of the injuries Ventura allegedly suffered from Combs' years-long abuse, including a gash on her forehead that had become a permanent scar. Dawn Richard, a singer who once competed in Combs' reality show Making the Band, also testified how she witnessed the music executive's abuse of Ventura. Richard, who was signed to Bad Boy Records and part of the trio Diddy – Dirty Money, described how Combs hit Ventura "on the head and beat her on the ground" during a visit to his home recording studio in 2019. Combs' trial is expected to continue until the first week of July, with the prosecution's case slated to rest the week of June 9. Advertisement Diddy's charges explained by a lawyer Former federal prosecutor Neama Rahmani explained the set of charges Diddy is facing to The U.S. Sun: "Diddy is facing three charges, or three sets of charges. "The first is racketeering, which you typically see with organized crime enterprises - so the mob, cartels, street gangs -but we're seeing it a lot more in sex trafficking cases. "And you don't need an organization like the mob, as long as it's an enterprise, which is something that consists of two or more people, and they engage in two or more RICO predicate acts, that's enough for racketeering. "Racketeering is a powerful charge because it allows the government to bring in all sorts of evidence of criminal activity, as well as all sorts of people, into that racketeering conspiracy. "And anyone who's a co-conspirator, they're on the hook for any criminal acts committed in furtherance of the conspiracy. "The most serious charge, though, is sex trafficking. "What separates sex trafficking from normal sex? Adults, of course, can consent to any type of sex, no matter how freaky it is. But sex trafficking has one of three elements: force, fraud, or coercion. "And the government is saying that Diddy used force to force these men and women to participate in these freak-offs, and he coerced them by drugging them. "The least serious charge is the prostitution, sometimes called the Man Act, and that's engaging in prostitution using some sort of interstate commerce across state lines. That obviously is unlawful. "Typically, you don't see federal cases for prostitution only, which is why it's the least serious of the crimes." 10 Combs intensely watches as his former assistant 'Mia' testifies at his trial on May 29 Credit: Reuters

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work

Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf have golden rule to make legendary tennis marriage work Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi enjoyed incredible tennis careers and have dominated the sport of pickleball in recent years while now sharing the secret behind their success on and off the court Tennis legends Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf are still going strong both on and off the court (Image: Getty ) Tennis legends Steffi Graf and Andre Agassi have revealed the golden rule they follow to make their marriage work. The couple are widely considered to be among the greatest tennis players the sport has ever seen. Graf's career from 1982 to 1999 saw her win a whopping 22 Grand Slams, being the only player ever to clinch each of the majors at least four times. ‌ In 2001, the German married men's tennis icon Agassi, who himself won eight Grand Slams with his scintillating play between 1986 and 2006. ‌ The couple have gone on to have two children, 23-year-old son Jaden Gil Agassi and 21-year-old daughter Jaz Elle. Now, a quarter of a century into their marriage, a key part of Agassi and Graf's relationship is the increasingly popular sport of pickleball. The two 55-year-olds began playing pickleball with their kids during the Covid-19 lockdowns in the spring of 2020 and have been hooked ever since. ‌ Graf admitted that the sport, which is similar to tennis but is played on a doubles badminton court, 'filled a huge' tennis-shaped gap in their lives post-retirement. And she revealed the one key reason that they have been able to sustain their marriage while competing. She said in an interview with BILD: 'We don't play against each other. We prefer to be on the same side of the court.' Agassi added: 'We like that pickleball is a community-oriented sport. People who play pickleball also improve quickly.' ‌ He went on to say: 'We really want to spread the game. When we're not traveling, we practice a lot of pickleball. Since we both play, it's fun to do it together.' On Saturday, April 12, Agassi hosted the first-ever Agassi Open Play Day at Life Time Green Valley to mark National Pickleball Month. The event was also mirrored at more than 100 Life Time athletic clubs around the United States at the same time. ‌ Earlier this year, Agassi and Graf defended their Pickleball Slam crown by winning the title for a third successive time. Jaz Agassi, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf and Jaden Agassi pose on the court after Andre Agassi and Graf won the Pickleball Slam 3 championship in Las Vegas (Image: Getty ) They teamed up against former US Open champion Andy Roddick and Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard, winning the $1million (£743,000) prize after three matches and a tiebreak round. Article continues below When Agassi and Graf aren't playing pickleball, they enjoy spending time with their kids and their respective partners, even going on triple dates. Agassi said: 'We had a great date night the other night where it was me, Steffi, my son and Catherine, his girlfriend, and Jaz, our daughter, and her boyfriend Parker, and it was like a triple date and we all just went out and sat and talked. 'We feel like peers around them, we respect them, we seek their opinion on things, they're not hesitant to ask us our perspective on what they're going through, so it really feels like a healthy season in life.'
