Boney Kapoor's drastic body transformation: Loses 26 kgs without hitting the gym, skips dinner and has fruits for breakfast

Indian Express23-07-2025
About two weeks ago, Boney Kapoor shared a series of photos from his visits to Cannes and Phuket. Soon after, the producer-turned-actor made headlines for his drastic body transformation. On Tuesday, a paparazzo shared that the producer has lost about 26 kgs without following any workout regime. The pap also claimed that he followed strict diet that included fruits for breakfast and soup for dinner. By resharing the post on his Instagram Stories, Boney Kapoor confirmed the news.
Sharing a post on the producer, the pap wrote, 'The secret of Boney Kapoor's weight loss is that, he skips dinner and has only soups. Not just that, his breakfast consists of only fruit & juice and jawar roti.' The caption further read, 'And mind you, the veteran Boney Kapoor has not hit the gym to get in this shape! It's pure and sheer dedication, sincerity doubled with hard work!'

The post caught the attention of many Instagram users, who speculated the producer might have used Ozempic and Mounjaro. A comment read, 'Bollywood which was struggling to lose weight for years all of a sudden started losing weight with fruit juice. Welcome to the era of Ozempic and Maunjaro.' Another user wrote, 'Drinking juices and appearing thin doesn't define fitness or healthy. There is lot more behind word FITNESS.'

Several other users claimed that the transformation has made the 69-year-old producer look older and sicker.

A user commented, 'He has lost terrible amount of muscle mass! He looks haggard! Fruit n juice only for breakfast? Atrocious! I lost 30kgs eating rice, chicken, paneer, roti, fruits, milk, eggs and i look strong not haggard! This is why nutrition education is important!!'
A few months ago, the producer made headlines for openly speaking about his hair transplantation journey. Addressing the media along with the doctor who helped him with his hair transplant, Boney shared, 'My wife Sri (actor Sridevi) used to tell me, 'Boney, first lose weight then you can fix your hair.' He added, 'I remembered my wife's advice who wanted me to lose weight before the hair transplant, so I went on a diet and lost about 14 kgs. It's hard for me to exercise, but I still managed to shed weight.'
The discussion around ozempic sparked after Karan Johar underwent transformation and lost weight. Similar speculations were made when Kapil Sharma, Ram Kapoor, and Badshah, among others gained attention for losing weight. While most of them kept mum about the secret behind their drastic weight loss, Ram Kapoor addressed the issue.
Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Ram Kapoor shared, 'If your doctor asks you to take it, will you listen to your doctor or to those on social media? Also, people say it's a shortcut. You have only one life. If your doctor asks you to take the shortcut, take it. Live your life as healthily as you can. Why the hell will you not take a shortcut if the doctor is telling you to?'
Boney Kapoor made his debut as an actor with the 2020 Netflix film, AK vs AK. His first big screen film was Ranbir Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor's Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar. He is the father of actors Arjun Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor.
