Yuzvendra Chahal's Ex-Wife Dhanashree Verma To Join Ashneer Grover's Rise and Fall: Report
Dhanashree Verma is all set to join Ashneer Grover's upcoming reality show, as per reports. It has been reported that Dhanashree Verma, cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal's ex-wife, will join Rise and Fall, which will be hosted by Shark Tank fame and entrepreneur Ashneer Grover.
As per an Instagram channel, Entertainment AF, 'While Ashneer Grover is set to host MX Player's brand-new show Rise and Fall, we've got the exclusive tea – Dhanashree Verma, ex-wife of cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal, is one of the 16 contestants!"
In the teaser video of the show, Ashneer Grover revealed that 16 known personalities will take part in the show and will be locked in a house for 42 days. The house building will be divided into two sections. The rich and the powerful, 'who make the whole world dance", will stay on top. On the other hand, poor people will be at the bottom.
Dhanashree Verma is an Indian choreographer, dancer, YouTuber, and dentist by qualification. She gained fame with her dance videos on YouTube and later became a finalist on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11. In December 2020, Dhanashree and Yuzvendra Chahal left their fans buzzing as they took the plunge and got married.
But their happiness was short-lived, and soon after their marriage, reports of trouble in paradise started to grab attention. In 2025, the couple headed for divorce. They were granted a divorce on March 20 and had been living separately for 18 months. On the day of the divorce, Chahal's advocate, Nitin Kumar Gupta, confirmed to ANI, 'The court has granted the decree of divorce, and both parties are no longer husband and wife."
Why Dhanashree and Chahal parted ways
While both Chahal and Dhanashree released a joint statement confirming their separation, neither shared specific details about the reason for their split. However, a report by senior journalist Vickey Lalwani claimed that a disagreement over their place of residence was at the heart of their divorce. According to him, after their wedding, Chahal and Dhanashree initially moved in with Chahal's parents in Haryana. But within days, Dhanashree expressed her wish to relocate to Mumbai, which didn't sit well with Chahal.
Dhanashree dating Pratik Utekar after divorce?
While several rumours have suggested that after parting ways with Dhanashree, Yuzvendra Chahal found love in RJ Mahvash, reports also claimed that the choreographer was in a romantic relationship with choreographer Pratik Utekar.
From Dhanashree Verma's New Year celebration, a photo of the choreographer went viral on social media in which she was seen getting cosy with Pratik Utekar. While this picture raised many eyebrows, Pratik took to his Instagram stories and lashed out at those linking him to Verma.
