Eidul Azha on June 7
According to the announcement, the first day of Zil Hajj will fall on Thursday, May 29, 2025, while Eidul Azha will be observed on Saturday, June 7.
The meeting of Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad for sighting of the Zil Hajj moon 1446 Hijri.
Moreover, the Zonal Ruet-e-Hilal Committees meetings were also held separately at their respective headquarters to see the Eidul Azha moon.
Meanwhile, religious scholar Mufti Ramzan Sialvi confirmed that moon was not sighted in Lahore, adding that the final announcement regarding moon sighting would be made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
Similarly, zonal committee sources in Karachi said that no testimony of moon sighting was received from any part of Sindh.

Field Marshal Asim Munir, Bilawal among recipients of national awards
Pakistan's top civilian and military leaders were conferred with national awards on Thursday in a ceremony at the President's House, marking the country's 78th Independence Day, Aaj News reported. President Asif Ali Zardari awarded Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu the Hilal-e-Jurat, the country's second-highest military honour, in recognition of their leadership and gallantry, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Pakistan honours leaders, commanders for roles in Marka-e-Haq
President Asif Ali Zardari on Thursday conferred top civil and military awards on national leaders, military commanders, and government officials in recognition of their services during Marka-e-Haq, where Pakistan inflicted a humiliating defeat on India. At a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr, Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir received the Hilal-e-Jurat for leading the Pakistan Army from the front and formulating war strategy, while Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu was awarded the Hilal-e-Imtiaz. Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Naveed Ashraf, were conferred the Nishan-e-Imtiaz, and DG ISI Lt Gen Asim Malik was awarded the Sitara-e-Basalat.
