Real Madrid secured a comfortable 3-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg in their early Friday match (Sana'a time) at Lincoln Financial Field.
The game marked the third and final round of Group 8 in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, currently being held in the United States and Canada.
With this win, the Spanish giants have booked a highly anticipated Round of 16 clash against Italy's Juventus, the runners-up of Group 7. The match is set to take place in Miami next Tuesday.
Real Madrid opened the scoring in the 40th minute through Brazilian star Vinícius Júnior. Just before halftime, he brilliantly assisted Federico Valverde with a stunning backheel pass, doubling the lead in the 45+3rd minute.
In the second half, young talent Gonzalo García sealed the victory with a third goal in the 84th minute, cementing Real Madrid's dominance. The win secured them the top spot in Group 8 with seven points, while Salzburg bowed out of the competition in third place with four points.
