When is Champions League play-off draw and who could Rangers face?
Ahead of the first leg of that tie, though, Rangers will discover which clubs they could face if they advance to the play-off round.
UEFA will host the Champions League play-off round draw on Monday, August 4.
The draw will take place at the House of Football in Nyon, Switzerland, with proceedings set to begin at 11am UK time.
Rangers will be unseeded in the league path section of the draw.

The winners of Rangers vs Viktoria Plzen feature in the unseeded pot along with the winners of Feyenoord vs Fenerbahce.
In the seeded side of the draw will be the winners of the match between Nice and Benfica and the club victorious between Red Bull Salzburg and Club Brugge.
Russell Martin has vowed his side will attack Champions League qualifying after overcoming Panathinaikos in the second qualifying round.
He said: "We've got through a really difficult tie over two legs with a win and we've qualified for the Europa League.
"And we can attack the Champions League now and have a right go.
"I'm incredibly proud of them, the team, the staff, the fans were amazing, so it's a big night for us.
"I said to the players before the game at this football club, you have an opportunity not many people get to have nights like this, and really brilliant moments, to make the most of it, and I'm really proud of them."

Paul Scholes says Man Utd should sign £60m star instead of Benjamin Sesko
Paul Scholes has named two strikers who would be better fits for Manchester United than incoming £74m signing Benjamin Sesko. Sesko is expected to be unveiled as a new Old Trafford signing in the coming days after United agreed a big-money deal with RB Leipzig. The 22-year-old Slovenia international has scored 39 goals in 87 appearances for Leipzig. Newcastle United were battling Manchester United for Sesko's signature, while Arsenal were interested in a deal before they signed Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting. Old Trafford legend Scholes has doubts about United's deal, however, and fears Sesko could emulate Rasmus Hojlund by flopping in the Premier League. Scholes also named Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins and Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen as two strikers with better profiles than Sesko. Watkins has been linked with a move away from Villa Park this summer and is said to be interested in joining Manchester United despite their embarrassing 2024-25 campaign. The England international has scored 50 Premier League goals over the past three seasons and was the subject of a transfer bid from Arsenal in January. Osimhen, meanwhile, completed a permanent £65m move to Galatasaray last month after Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea all passed up on the chance to sign the Nigerian from Napoli. 'From Sesko's point of view, he would have more chance to develop at Newcastle than Man United and he needs that,' Scholes said on The Overlap. 'To be a centre-forward for Man United, as we've found with Hojlund, you need to be ready. It has to be now. — Victor Osimhen (@victorosimhen9) August 1, 2025 'Hojlund just isn't quite good enough for that, as we've seen, but he's not had a chance to develop. 'Going to Newcastle for two or three years might have been the best thing for Sesko. But you can't turn down Man United for Newcastle, you just can't. 'Manchester United finished 15th last year and Newcastle qualified for the Champions League. But which club is realistically going to have success first? Are Man United going to win the league again before Newcastle ever do? Of course they are. 'That is why Sesko wants to go there but from United's point of view, is it the best bit of business? 'I still think you're in the same boat as having Hojlund. United don't need another project, they had that with Hojlund. 'What they need is a centre forward ready to go. That's not out there. Osimhen is probably the only one who was out there. 'Watkins is a brilliant striker who works his nuts off, I don't think he's the best finisher, but I think he would be a better option now with Sesko and Hojlund behind him. 'I think those two are second or third strikers behind a main striker but maybe that isn't out there right now. It was quite a tough season for Leipzig, which forced them to change coach after a disappointing Champions League campaign. They've been struggling, which reflects on his output, but he was still one of their best and most consistent players. Sesko's strengths are certainly his physicality and speed – he's great at making dangerous runs in behind defences, but he's also a very clinical and instinctive finisher, especially when the ball drops to him in the area. His work rate is good and he's a willing runner off the ball as well. His hold-up play is quite strong, but I think his link-up play is a side of his game that he can still improve. It's not that he's bad at that side of the game, but compared to someone like Kai Havertz, he's not at that level. In particular, his passing will need to get a lot better. But during his young career, he's shown he can take those steps forward. His mentality is definitely a strength – he's a player who wants to learn and wants to improve so in that sense he will be a quick learner. Rune Gjerulff, German football expert and editor of Bulinews 'Osimhen might have been the one, he's ready-made, but there's nothing else now. Even Gyokeres might be a bit of a project, you're not quite sure what you're getting with him.' Newcastle expressed interest in signing Sesko after Alexander Isak informed club bosses that he was seen to explore his options this summer. Like Scholes, Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher believes St James' Park would be a better place for Sesko to develop, but understands why he has seemingly chosen to join the Red Devils. 'The name of Manchester United – no matter where they finish in the Premier League – is so important,' he said. More Trending 'We're talking about one of the biggest football clubs in the world, it's an institution. 'Newcastle will never be Man United but from Sesko's point of view, look at the track record of young players at United and the track record of Eddie Howe and what he's done with young players. 'Eddie Howe improves players and if I was Sesko that would definitely be at the back of my mind.' Australian darts star Brandon Weening walked out to Penny Arcade and hopes to make a trip to see Light Blues play Rangers-mad Brandon Weening was left feeling blue after being frozen-out by Mike De Decker. But the Australian darts star is hoping a trip across the globe to see an Old Firm game against Celtic could help make up for his loss. Weening has become a massive supporter of Rangers through a Scots pal and walked into the arena to the tune of Penny Arcade, a well-known song heard at Ibrox. The Python was choked by the Belgian ace as he lost the first-round game 6-2, but the Geelong star still enjoyed his experience facing one of the PDC elite in his own backyard before he explained the roots of his Rangers affection after the match. Weening revealed: 'I'm a big gamer. I met a guy from Scotland and we became really good friends. He got me to watch a Rangers game with him once and I just got the Rangers bug. It was back during lockdown. That's how I became a Rangers guy and I'm loving it. I fix my sleep schedule and I'm normally waking up at about 3am to watch them now. It depends on what time they start. 'I would love to watch an Old Firm there regardless of the result. 100 per cent. Obviously, I would want to see Rangers win, but regardless of the result, I would love to go to Ibrox and watch an Old Firm or any match.' Weening confirmed his walk-on was inspired by the tune ringing out at Ibrox as he added: '100 per cent. I know Roy Orbison did a version of it. I don't like that version. Then I heard the Sammy King version of it and loved it.' In the end, De Decker managed to get the job done despite suffering from cold hands on the stage in Wollongong. He said: 'It's been fun coming to Australia. It was less fun being on stage because it's a bit colder. I was blowing my hands the whole game. When my hands are cold, I don't have any grip on the darts. so normally my darts stick up to upright and now they were going a bit flat. It just doesn't feel well. 'That's why I was blowing the whole game as well, trying to get them warm, but it wasn't really working. I'll probably wash my hands with really hot water before I have to next go on stage. Maybe that helps. It's not really cold outside. In Australia they call it winter, but it's still 20 degrees. So it's not that it's winter.' De Decker is delighted to be part of the World Series having turned down an earlier invitation to play in Holland and also being outspoken over his Premier League omission. He admitted some pressure as he said: 'Yeah, a little bit. As well with all the interviews I did after the line-up of the Premier League and declining the one in Holland. I didn't expect getting a call-up for this and for New Zealand, so it was a nice surprise. 'It's nice to get the recognition of what you did as well. If I didn't win the Grand Prix last year, I wouldn't be in these events.'

Russell Martin's team set the ball rolling for Premiership sides with their emphatic Champions League first-leg win over Viktoria Plzen. Not to be outdone, David Gray's side headed to Belgrade to sink Partizan and put themselves into a superb position ahead of the Easter Road return. Jim Goodwin's United were also up to it with an excellent fightback draw against Rapid in Vienna to complete a hat-trick of top efforts. So positives first. Scott Gowers, Edinburgh, said: 'What an excellent week for Scottish football. From being on the verge of dropping further down the coefficient, all three Scottish teams have taken great strides in helping avoid this and aided the chances of five Scottish teams being involved in the European group stages. Amazing.' Neil Renton, Leith, said: 'Another Thursday night, another impressive display in Europe for Hibs. There's still a long way to go in this tie, but that was a brilliant way for us to celebrate our 150th anniversary.' Right, that didn't last long. It was quickly onto bickering. George Wilson, West Sussex, said: 'As anticipated, we have the usual nonsense from the Celtic camp about how poor Panathinaikos and Viktoria Plzen were. "This is from a side that only qualified for Champions League knockout stages last year because with 24 out of 36 teams qualifying it was virtually impossible not to qualify. Yet have the cheek to say Rangers have had it easy. "Neither Rangers nor Celtic are good enough at present to make an impact in the Champions League, but the money would be handy.' Peter Cooperwhite added: 'So the Celtic fans foaming at mouth with laughter about us beating a poor team, I remember them beating a dismal Bratislava 5-1 and Brendan joking he would fancy Bayern in the final. He who laughs last, laughs the longest.' Alan Flett said: 'I wasn't getting carried away with our result on Tuesday night. I know that for far too long, Rangers have been good in Europe, but uninterested in the domestic scene. "I was simply pointing out that, if we show that level of performance on a regular basis, we will be far too good for the rest of Scottish football. 'As far as Europe is concerned, the fact is, regardless of the level of opposition, we win two legged knock out ties but Celtic do not.' But Liam Birney, Paisley, responded: 'Only three days after getting booed off the park and his team lucky to escape with a point at Motherwell, Alan says after a win against a pub team that Rangers will win the league at a canter and have better players all over the park. The cherry on the cake was that Plzen are better than any team in Scotland! Alan, we've heard all this guff so many times from you it's boring. Come back when you actually win something.' Danny Fallon, Luton, added: 'So Alan reckons the Champions League team his team played are better than anything in Scotland, surely forgetting the lucky point they scrambled against Motherwell.' Transfer business, or lack of it, is still annoying Celtic fans as Benjamin Clarke, Balornock, said: 'The Celtic board are just content beating the dross below them in Scotland, they are not interested in competing in Europe. Get to the group stages and get the money. It's the fans that are paying all the time, start spending and compete in Europe.' Meanwhile, William Hutchison, Aberdeen, said: 'So the SFA are threatening to close sections of stadiums at Aberdeen, Celtic and Partick Thistle if they keep letting off pyros and smoke bombs. Why just those three? Should be warnings to every team. If I'm not mistaken, Rangers fans let off smoke bombs in their section against Motherwell on Saturday. Why weren't they mentioned? Warnings should be to all teams. Not just three clubs.'
