Dakota Johnson Enjoys Girls Trip With Kate Hudson After Breakup
Dakota Johnson is learning how to be single.
After all, the Materialists actress has been on a European vacation with Kate Hudson following her breakup with .
On June 28, the pair was spotted dining with entrepreneur Douglas Chabbott and Dakota's agent Maha Dakhil in Rome. At one point in the evening, Ricky Martin stopped by to say hello despite dining at a different restaurant.
Three days later, Dakota and Kate—who are the daughters of longtime friends Melanie Griffith and Goldie Hawn, respectively—went on a cruise off the coast of Ibiza, Spain. As seen in photos published by People, they spent the day enjoying the sun in their bikinis, lounging on a large white raft with a friend and swimming in the water, unafraid to get their hair wet.
The girls trip comes just a few weeks after multiple outlets reported that Dakota and Chris had called it quits on their relationship of nearly eight years. And while the news came as a surprise—as the couple had recently been spotted together on a yoga date—the couple had faced breakup rumors months earlier, that were ultimately shut down by reps at the time.

Neither Dakota or Chris have publicly spoken about their breakup. However, the radio silence is no surprise given how the former couple has always been tight-lipped about their romance. In fact, they have never addressed how Chris—who shares kids Apple Martin, 21, and Moses Martin, 19, with ex —popped the question several years ago.
And keeping their love life out of the spotlight was an intentional choice by the couple, who each have intense work schedules.
'We've been together for quite a while, and we go out sometimes," Dakota told Elle in December 2021. "But we both work so much that it's nice to be at home and be cozy and private."

Mike Posner's powerful message: Life can transform in 10 years
Mike Posner marked the tenth anniversary of his hit song I Took A Pill In Ibiza by sharing how his life has transformed since writing it. Reflecting on his journey in a heartfelt X thread, Posner unpacked key shifts in his mindset, including valuing self-love and overcoming harmful habits. His reflections serve as a reminder of the power of personal growth, resonating with younger generations who are increasingly embracing healthier living. In 2015, you couldn't escape the audio earworm I Took A Pill In Ibiza. The club hit dominated radio and TV airwaves and blared over speakers at nightclubs worldwide. Ten years after the song topped the charts, Mike Posner, the man behind the hit, reflected on what he has learned since he first penned it and how his well-being has improved. In an X thread, he wrote, 'On my 26th birthday, I wrote I Took A Pill in Ibiza…10 years ago. The song became popular several years after I wrote it. Yesterday, I celebrated my 36th birthday. I feel proud to look at the song lyrics and know that NONE of them are true anymore. I've grown into a completely new man … one that I'm proud of.' Zoning in on a few specific lines in the song, he compared where he was back then and how different life is for him now. '26: I took a pill in Ibiza to show Avicii I was cool, and when I finally got sober, felt 10 years older, but f*** it, it was something to do.' He said he now loves himself more and therefore doesn't do things that harm his body to try to get people to like him. 26: You don't wanna ride the bus like this Never knowing who to trust like this You don't wanna be stuck up on that stage singing All I know are sad songs, sad songs 36: i am the happiest i have ever been in my life and have sustained faith love and joy mindset for over a year… — Mike Posner (@MikePosner) February 14, 2024 Regarding the lyrics about living in LA, driving a sports car and spending large amounts of money on girls and shoes, he announced that he had recently donated several pairs of shoes to a charity drive. He added that he no longer feels the need 'to prove anything to anyone other than God, love myself.' 'If I buy myself something nice, it's because I love myself and I deserve it, not because I'm trying to prove to others I'm good enough.' ALSO READ | Who is Mel Robbins? The self-help guru who turned a five-second hack into global success He likened fleeting highs to 'coming off a roller coaster all alone' but now celebrates his community. In addition to bonding with his friends, he says he made a 'massive investment into [my] relationship with my mom and sister… best it's ever been. Relationship with God is on a whole new level.' Among his many revelations, Posner expressed pride in overcoming his fear of intimacy and breaking old avoidant patterns. He faced the deep pain of his past relationship's end, identified unhelpful behaviours, and recognised the importance of having a wife and family. With the guidance of top coaches and therapists, whose advice he diligently followed, he now finds himself in the most beautiful relationship of his life. He ended the thread by writing: 'I know sadness and pain very well, I also know how I overcame/ overcome it. It is my duty to teach others to do the same. I know sad songs, but I also know redemption songs, songs of freedom, songs of faith, and songs of devotion,' and explained that he shared all this to remind people that it's possible for things to change for the better. 'I love you. If you're going through sh** right now, keep going, you have no idea how good your life may be in 10 years.' His reflections were well received by his Millennial and Gen Z followers, two generations whose lifestyle habits have been studied at length, showing a global shift away from alcohol and drug consumption towards a healthier, more mindful way of living. ‘Embarrassingly unprofessional' Gen Z intern sparks debate over bizarre time-off request: ‘Energy feels a little off'
Are they revolutionizing the workplace or simply being Gen La-Z? Zoomers have become notorious for seemingly committing myriad workplace faux pas, from picking up the phone sans speaking to dressing like slobs at the office. Now, a young clock-puncher is dividing people online after telling the boss they were taking a vacay because their energy felt 'off,' per a viral Reddit Post by said employer. The supervisor, who manages a group of 3 Gen Z interns at an AI startup, shared a screenshot of an email they received from one of their young underlings on apparently short notice. 'Feeling a bit overwhelmed with all the work and my energy feels a little off so not getting that vibe right now,' it read. 'I'll be out from 28th July to 30th July (pls don't miss me).' The boss was taken aback by the ballsy message, especially as said worker was announcing rather than 'asking' for leave as is customary — a far cry from the quiet vacationing trend. '[The] corporate world is not ready for Gen Z,' they declared in the caption, adding that they found the 'language fascinating.' Despite the seemingly brazen demand, the manager said that they appreciated the intern's honesty and ultimately ended up acquiescing, writing, 'Anyways, she was frustrated with all the work, so I approved it.' The correspondence sparked mixed reactions with many commenters praising the employee's candor. 'Based, based, based. I f–king love our generation,' declared one fan, lauding the intern's apparent moxy. 'It's about time some blow-back happens,' vented another. 'Trained under old school Boomers and ugh if I hear about getting ahead by being consistent and working hard ever again.' They elaborated, 'Well, I'm almost 40 now and own nothing. Worked hard and consistently at top quality my whole life, but homes are starting at 1.5 mill[ion] and I made the stupid mistake of being born without money or much family.' 'People need to give reasons for taking time off?' spluttered a third. 'At my job, we just book it, and if no one else's off, we get it lol.' However, others deemed it ludicrous that an intern would need to take a mental health week. 'We had someone in our company who sent a similar email,' wrote one critic. 'They cc'd our client even though they shouldn't have, and it almost cost us a multi-million-dollar contract and numerous jobs. Our boss held a short training on how to send an email to both coworkers and clients.' 'Why are you praising this failure?' criticized one viewer. 'If you are that overwhelmed at work, you ask for help … If the first reaction is to quit, do not be shocked when the company tells them to stay home. You gave this baby too many tasks.' They added, 'In any real company, if any intern does this, it will prevent from full-time employment.' One appreciated the content but not the tone, writing, 'Look, I'm Gen Z and I get the desire for a break, but there are better ways to say you're taking one. I find this embarrassingly unprofessional. Nothing wrong with honesty, but so many better ways to say this.' While Generation Z defenders claim Zoomers are just striving for a better work-life balance, their so-called trailblazing behaviors have often been perceived as entitled and lazy by other generations. Coincidentally, a recent study found that a good percentage of Zoomers won't consider taking a job unless it has nap rooms, ping pong and a pet-friendly policy. Solve the daily Crossword
