Prithviraj on Ibrahim Ali Khan facing flak: Even SRK gets criticised
Prithviraj emphasised the importance of approaching co-actors as equals, regardless of experience. 'What is important regarding your conversation with your fellow actor is not that you make sure it's not a conversation between a seasoned actor and a debutant. It's just a conversation between two actors trying to be two different characters in the film. And I think Ibrahim learned that very soon. When you're talking to your co-actor about a scene, it does not matter how experienced or not experienced he or she is. What only matters is, how does he or she perceive the character? How do I perceive the character? How do both of us perceive this particular moment and how can we collaborate on this?' According to Prithviraj, Ibrahim was 'already well-trained to comprehend that process and how to adopt that process for his own good.' He added, 'I really think Ibrahim has put in a lot of work for this film. It's really a lot of work from him. And as people already know, the camera really loves him. He is a very, very good-looking boy.'Calling 'Sarzameen' a 'very interesting debut' for Ibrahim, Prithviraj said, 'This is his first film, actually the first film he acted in. I kept telling him, and I told this to Saif sir also, when I met him that this is actually a very, very interesting debut for an actor to make, because it's not what you would think is a given debut for an actor like Ibrahim. So yes, I'm looking forward to what people think of him in the film.'Addressing the criticism Ibrahim has faced with 'Nadaaniyan', Prithviraj offered a candid reality check: "See, Ibrahim will be wonderful in this film, but that's not going to put an end to anything. Hello, if Shah Rukh Khan sir can still be criticised, why can't Ibrahim Ali Khan be criticised? Come on. From where I come from, Mohanlal sir and Mammootty sir are still criticised. There's nothing bigger than that for us to understand that that's never going to end.'advertisementHe added, 'You have to just keep trying. I've totally realised that it never gets easier. You think, 'Oh, that one blockbuster,' and then it gets easier? No. It does not. It never gets easier. The idea is that you start really enjoying the grind.''Sarzameen' premieres on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025, and marks Ibrahim Ali Khan's second film. He stars alongside Prithviraj and Kajol.- EndsYou May Also Like

Suniel Shetty: Ahan and I work hard towards our fitness
Ahan and Suniel Shetty The saying 'like father, like son' fits the Shetty family perfectly. Just as Suniel Shetty embraced fitness in his youth, his son and actor Ahan also committed himself to a healthy lifestyle from an early age. But it's not just a bond between father and son—Suniel reveals that this dedication to health and fitness began a generation earlier, with his own father. Offering insight into how fitness values have been passed down through the family, Suniel shared, 'My father didn't go to a gym, but he would walk 15 kms a day. He was someone who believed in eating right and having half an hour of sleep, which he called the powernap in the afternoon. I remember whenever his car used to get stuck at the Kemps Corner because of traffic, he would just get down and start walking towards the restaurant he ran. ' Clearly, these habits left a mark. Suniel inherited this disciplined lifestyle from his father, and today, his children are continuing that legacy. When asked which of his children—Ahan or Athiya—is more inclined towards fitness, Suniel quickly replied, 'It was always Ahan. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Top 15 Most Beautiful Women in the World Undo Well, Ahan and I had to work towards our fitness. Athiya has always been someone who is lean and sporty. She used to swim. But Ahan and I had to put in lot of effort. Fitness keeps you mentally balanced. After a tough 2-3 years it was his fitness, zest for sports and life that has kept Ahan going and now he's doing so well.' Suniel spoke to us at the launch of Aquatein's collagen water, where he serves as brand ambassador. The protein water and functional beverage brand, founded by Ananth Prabhala and Mitisha Mehta, focuses on wellness and nutrition. Talking about the benefits of such products, he said, 'It's the kind of water that doesn't bloat you. Staying hydrated is important plus you get the benefit of protein. So, if you are training and are active you get its benefits. ' The actor, who was seen in films like Kesari Veer and Nadaaniyan this year, also expressed his happiness over the growing interest in diverse sports across India. He remarked, 'The best thing that has happened post lockdown is that I am seeing a lot of sports has come up, the grounds and multiple avenues opened up and now people are playing paddle, pickle ball, soccer and cricket. Today you hear a lot of noise where kids are busy playing sports. This kind of noise pollution I don't mind (laughs).'

Prithviraj says his first sense of belonging in the world is being Indian, not from Kerala
With 'Sarzameen', Prithviraj Sukumaran steps into the heart of a nation torn between ideals, identity, and unwavering love for one's homeland. The upcoming film, which explores themes of national duty, personal sacrifice, and moral conflict, features the popular actor as an officer on duty, one as vulnerable as he is fierce. At a time when patriotism is constantly being redefined and debated, India Today exclusively asked Prithviraj what it means to him. 'I only have one meaning for it. I don't have too many meanings for it,' he said, adding, 'When I say I'm patriotic, I mean that I absolutely love my country and I'm very proud of the fact that I'm an Indian.'advertisementThe actor exclaims, 'Wherever you go in the world, wherever I am in [any part of] the world, whatever I'm doing, my first sense of belonging is the fact that I'm from India. It's not the fact that I'm from Kerala, it's not the fact that I speak Malayalam, or that you speak Hindi, or are from Maharashtra. If tomorrow you're in some part of the world and people ask you where you're from, I'm not going to say I'm from Trivandrum. I'm going to say I'm from India. So that sense of belonging, and the pride in that sense of belonging, is what I think is patriotism for me. I'm deeply patriotic that way.' 'Sarzameen' is set to premiere on JioHotstar on July 25, 2025. The film also stars Kajol and Ibrahim Ali Khan in pivotal roles. - EndsYou May Also Like
