Molly Shannon Recalls Jennifer Aniston's 'SNL' Hosting Gig: 'She Had a Big Wedding Ring on' (Exclusive)
In celebration of the iconic sketch show's 50th anniversary, the former cast member, 60, looked back at working with some of her favorite celebrity hosts in a joint interview with Seth Meyers, Kate McKinnon, Kenan Thompson, Bowen Yang and Leslie Jones.
Shannon recalled the Friends alum, 55, being "very laid back" while hosting the NBC late night show.

"I remember being like, 'Ooh, that's so cool. Jennifer Aniston,'" she recalled. "And she had a big wedding ring on and she was just [an] easygoing professional, [she] had been in television for a long time."
Over the course of her career, Aniston has hosted Saturday Night Live twice — for the first time in 1999 and again in 2004.
At the time of her SNL debut, she was engaged to Brad Pitt and wore a spiral diamond and platinum ring by Italian jewelry designer Silvia Damiani, which PEOPLE reported Pitt spent seven months helping design.

In addition to Aniston, who was "just easygoing and really fun," Shannon also recalled working with Cameron Diaz.
"During the rehearsal, she would just eat salads, lots of greens. And I was like, 'I want to be like Cameron Diaz and just eat salad,'" she laughed. "You know what I mean? Isn't that funny?"
Aniston previously revealed that she was once invited to audition for SNL, but turned down the opportunity after hearing that the show was a "boys club."
'I didn't think I would like that environment,' she admitted during a 2019 appearance on The Howard Stern Show. 'I remember turning up and [Adam] Sandler was there and [David] Spade was there, and I'd known them already and they were like, 'Look, Aniston's here!' I met them when I was 20, 21, after I'd done a television show with a guy who knew them.'

During a meeting with showrunner Lorne Michaels, the actress revealed that she even confronted him about the lack of female representation on the show.
'I was like, 'I think that women need to be treated better here.' Because it was such a boys club,' she said. 'You're just, not the brightest when you're in your early 20s. I didn't lecture him, I was just saying what I would hope if I was to do this, what I would hope it to be.'
'I was such a young twit,' she laughed.

The Duggar family tree has grown by one — and now we know the name of the newborn baby. Jessa Duggar, the fifth child and third daughter of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar of '19 Kids and Counting,' welcomed her sixth child with husband Ben Seewald on July 26, per her Instagram. The reality star turned influencer has since been telling her birth story in a series of YouTube videos. In the third installment of the series, published Aug. 8, Jessa Duggar joked that they should name the newborn baby boy 'Pork Chop' because he weighed 10 pounds, 1 ounce at birth. 'But since that's not on the name list, what else?' she said in the video. As Duggar and Seewald were sitting in the hospital, they were trying to decide between Owen, Edward and Calvin for the first name and Patrick and Athanasius for the middle name. On Aug. 11, Jessa Duggar released the fourth installment of the series and revealed that two of the first names made the cut — but neither of the middle names did. The name they chose? Edward Owen Seewald. 'We liked the sound of Edward from pretty early on in this pregnancy,' Seewald said toward the end of the video. The name was also a big hit with the couple's other kids. 'We always like historical names, too, so there's some historical significance with Edward,' he added while name-dropping preacher and philosopher Jonathan Edwards and King Edward VI of England. According to Behind the Name, Edward is an Old English name that means 'rich guard' via the elements 'ead,' meaning 'wealth,' and 'weard,' meaning 'guard.' Other historical baby names for boys include Henry, William, Charles, George, Richard, Thomas, James, Robert and Francis. As for Owen, Seewald said he was drawn to the name because of John Owen, one of his 'favorite theologians.' Owen either means 'well born' in Welsh or 'yew tree' in Irish, per Behind the Name. Both names were included in the Social Security Administration's top 1,000 most popular boy names of 2024 with Owen ranking 26th and Edward ranking 228th. The couple are also parents to sons Spurgeon, 9; Henry, 8; and George, 19 months, and daughters Ivy, 6, and Fern, 4, according to People. While they have since settled on a name for baby No. 6, Duggar and Seewald said that it took them nearly a week to come to an agreement. At the beginning of their Aug. 11 video, the couple are in the hospital when Duggar asks her husband if they've settled on a name. 'We've been trying,' he responded. 'But Jess is on the pills and her mind is foggy. She's a little nervous to pick a name when she's not thinking as clearly as she could.' By the time they were ready to pack up and leave the hospital, their baby was still without a name. 'They told us we have nine days from birth to let them know,' Duggar said. 'Hopefully it doesn't take that long,' Seewald added. In the car ride back home, Duggar said leaving the hospital without a name gives them an opportunity to try out each of the names on their list for a day or so to see how it fits. 'Sometimes you've just got to see their face and maybe even test some names out for a few days,' Seewald said. 'But we finally made up our mind.' A New Fine-Dining Restaurant With Familiar Dishes and Faces Opens in Beacon Hill
Nine, located at 9 Park Street Place, is set to open on Friday, August 15, with three menus: a seasonal tasting one, an la carte one, and a bar one. Reservations can be booked online. While some favorite dishes are returning, chef de cuisine Andrew Simonich shares some exciting new menu items and his updates on some menu classics with Eater. 'Walking in the doors, you always knew you'd be getting that classic French and Italian cuisine,' Simonich tells Eater. 'My leaning is to keep those techniques as our home base, but broadening the scope of where I pull influences, so we're broadening towards the Mediterranean influences and across Europe,' he says. Simonich is returning to the location where he got his start, back in December 2019, when he interned during a very busy holiday lunch season. The Johnson & Wales graduate stayed and worked his way up, and after a stint at Menton, was running the kitchen at No. 9 Park until its closing in October of 2024. 'We were sad that the old restaurant was going away, but excited for something new to come in,' Simonich tells Eater of No. 9's last days. Dishes at Nine. CJPR Not surprisingly, the chef has been grappling with the weight of the expectations from guests who've been visiting the location for decades, and Simonich assures that Nine will still serve classics like steak tartare, a steak, and perfectly cooked duck. The fresh pasta program, which he says is near and dear to his heart, will remain a major part of the menu, with current dishes like uni spaghetti made with squid ink oil and a compound uni butter, and chicken tortellini with mushroom ragu. The chef added new dishes to the a la carte and bar menus — including a burger with a foie gras-infused bun – because, he explains, some people just want a quick plate of food before heading to a show. Of course, a very seasonal, ever-changing tasting menu is still available for those who want to indulge for $180. Desserts and pastry — including a soufflé — will be created by Brandon Wells, formerly of Deuxave, Simonich tells Eater. The bar at Nine. CJPR Nine will have a lighter and brighter look than its predecessor, newly designed by Lorenzo Lorniali and Federica Di Biase of Adige Design. During the renovation process, the original brick arches inside the building were uncovered and exposed, now bringing in a lot more light in the back dining space. Previously, No. 9 Park was the crown jewel of embattled chef Barbara Lynch's Boston restaurant empire. The French restaurant's impact on Boston's dining scene was massive. Opening in 1998, it received national acclaim, including a James Beard award for Outstanding Wine Program in 2012. Lynch shut down the restaurant — as well as all of her other locations — at the end of 2024 following a tumultuous leadership period that culminated in two toxic workplace investigations published in the Boston Globe and the New York Times. Lynch has denied all claims.

Andy Cohen dispels rumor about 'Love Island USA' Season 7 reunion
Bravo's Andy Cohen dropped some tea about the attendance at "Love Island USA" Season 7 reunion. In the days leading up to the event, which was filmed in New York City on Tuesday, Aug. 12, there was online speculation about certain contestants potentially not showing up to address the drama and fallout from the season. 'Guys, 'Love Island' reunions are no joke," Cohen stated in an Instagram story shared at about 9:45 p.m. ET. "This reunion? It's good and everybody's here." In July, it was announced that Cohen would join host Ariana Madix for a special episode of the popular reality dating series that kept fans engaged all summer. It will premiere on Peacock later this month. "I'm having so much fun with Ariana. She's amazing, and you know what... I like hosting a reunion with her.
