Andrea Torres remains single, says she's open to meeting new people

GMA Network24-06-2025
Andrea Torres confirmed that she's still single, but she's not closing her doors on love, and she's open to meeting new people.
On Tuesday's 'Fast Talk with Boy Abunda,' the Sparkle star shared insights into her dating philosophy and what she looks for in a partner.
'Hindi na bago sa akin po 'to ah, kasi usually talaga, in between ng boyfriends ko, two years, three years, matagal talaga,' Andrea said.
She confirmed that her last relationship was with Derek Ramsay.
'Parang three years [ago] po ata kung tama ang bilang ko,' she said.
When asked about her openness to new relationships, Andrea said that she prefers to just go with the flow.
'Pagka sinabi ng friends ko na, 'Uy, meet mo 'to, feel ko bagay kayo.' Sige, mi-meet ko 'yan. Tingnan natin,' she said.
Per Andrea, she just waits for the presence of a 'spark,' a feeling of both connection and kilig, which she believes are crucial and cannot be forced, even if a person's personality is otherwise appealing.
'Alam kong once ma-feel ko 'yun, dire-diretso na 'yun,' she said. 'I'm sure pag ready na ako, darating 'yan.'
Regarding her preferences in a partner, Andrea noted that her past boyfriends have not looked alike, suggesting that physical appearance is not a primary factor.
'Feeling ko it's really sa ugali, kung mag-ja-jive kami, kung may pagka-old school siguro siya. Tsaka doon sa kilig na 'yun. Importante 'yun, 'di ba, tito?' she said.
Andrea is set to star in the series 'Akusada.'
She will be joined by Benjamin Alves, Lianne Valentin, Marco Masa, Sandy Andolong, and more.
'Akusada' is directed by award-winning director Dominic Zapata and will begin airing on June 30 at 4 p.m. on GMA Afternoon Prime.

Alden Richards says entering flight school not his dream alone: 'Meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams'

Alden Richards is one step closer to becoming a pilot as he marked his first day in flight school — a dream that isn't just his alone, but also his father's. According to Nelson Canlas' report in "24 Oras" Wednesday, the Asia's Multimedia Star attended his flight school's induction ceremony today with his family. "I've always been so curious paano lumilipad ng ganung kalaki at kabigat na sasakyang panghimpapawid tapos of course how it's being navigated sa langit from point a to point b. Paano nakakarating, paano nag-t-take off," he said. According to Alden, he has always been compelled to pursue the dreams of his parents that they weren't able to fulfill. "Since nagkaroon ako ng isip sa mundo parang meron akong core objective to fulfill my parents' dreams na hindi nila natupad in their lifetime," he shared. "And surprisingly, kagaya ng showbiz para sa nanay ko, for me, ito naman dream ni dad for himself and eventually nagustuhan ko na rin." Despite his showbiz commitments, the Kapuso actor is determined to stay the course. "There's no such thing as a busy schedule when you make time and you have time management. Time management is the key. Definitely, this year for ground school, and then tuloy-tuloy na 'to. This will be a two year course and after I graduate, I'm gonna be able to fly a commercial plane," he added. Earlier, Alden shared photos of himself with his family to mark his first day in flight school. "Day 1 starts today..." he wrote on Instagram. Back in April, Alden posted about his visit to a flight school in Clark, Pampanga. In a 2023 interview, Alden had mentioned that he initially wanted to be a pilot, but gave up on it because flight school is expensive. Recently, Alden, along with Dustin Yu and Bianca De Vera, joined the relief operations for those affected by the recent typhoons in Bulacan and Quezon City. He is also gearing up for the GMA Gala 2025 on Saturday, which is expected to be a big event as GMA Network marked its 75th anniversary this year. Alden is currently the host of "Stars on the Floor" and described it as the best show he has ever hosted. —CDC, GMA Integrated News

GMA Gala 2025 teaser video featured in LED billboard along EDSA Guadalupe

GMA Gala 2025 is just around the corner! On social media, Sparkle GMA Artist Center shared a clip of a teaser video for the upcoming GMA Gala featured in an LED billboard along EDSA-Guadalupe. "WE'RE OUT HERE LIGHTIN' UP EDSA LIKE IT'S OUR OWN RED CARPET!" Sparkle wrote in the caption. The teaser showcased the glamorous attendees of GMA Gala 2024, including Kapuso Royal Couple Marian Rivera and Dingdong Dantes, Alden Richards, Heart Evangelista, Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Bianca Umali, Ruru Madrid, and many more. The GMA Gala is returning for its fourth year and it will be held on August 2. The star-studded event is a fundraising affair in support of the GMA Kapuso Foundation, gathering celebrities and showbiz personalities for an evening of charity, camaraderie, and celebration. At the pre-GMA Gala 2025 dinner on July 24, GMA Network donated a total of P2.5 million to the Kapuso Foundation. The funds raised at the pre-gala dinner and the gala night itself will be utilized for the foundation's relief operations to help those who have been affected by the recent typhoons and Southwest Monsoon (Habagat). In Aubrey Carampel's report in "24 Oras" Wednesday, Alden Richards expressed his excitement for the gala. "Ready na yung suit natin for that. This is one for the books and medyo inaabangan na talaga. Talagang most of it, 'yung bonding talaga with my co-actors in GMA," said the Asia's Multimedia Star. Jillian Ward, for her part, will be going for classic and timeless for her gown this year, which also marks her 15th anniversary in the showbiz industry. "Gusto ko na 'pag ipapa-frame ko 'yung picture ko eh 10 to 20 years makikita ko na parang, 'Uy, pwede ko pa rin isuot 'yung gown na 'yan," she said. Raheel Bhyria is also done with his gala preparations and shared that he can't wait to reunite with his "Mga Batang Riles" co-stars. "Syempre I can't wait dun sa mga taga-MBR rin na kasama ko, sina Miguel [Tanfelix] sana magkita-kita kami ulit dun, si Jillian magkikita kami dun," said Raheel. —CDC, GMA Integrated News
